Hi Peeps, took a break from baking today to make this sweet little recipe caddy.  I’ve had these little clip boards for quite some time so I decided to paint it up, create the background and laminate to the clipboard so that I can actually use it :-)    I used JustRite Homemade Treats Borders and Center to decorate my clipboard.

After constructing the background I stamped my Baked with Love sentiment and cut it using Spellbinders™ Standard Circles Small #3.  I outlined that layer with a circle cut from Spellbinders™ Pinking Circles LG #2.  After stamping the Just For You border from the JustRite set, I cut/embossed using Spellbinders™ Classic Scalloped Circles LG #3.  Because this project could not take any dimension I simpled glued everything down to my background then laminated over it.  The clipboards came from the $1 bin at A. C. Moores and I love them because you simply unscrew the clipping mechanism which let me get my background down without having to piece around it!  So, while I was at it, I made a couple of recipe cards with the left over scraps and a bookmark for my recipe book from the paper ensemble I used.

Here’s the backside of my clipboard and bookmark.  I love that the clipboard is designed to stand up.  If you ever buy one that is not designed to stand, all you’ll need to do is drill a hole and insert a small piece of dowel. :-)

Project Recipe:
Stamps:  Justrite Homemade Treats Borders and Centers
Paper:  Paper Studio – I Love Baking Scrapbooking Kit
Ink:  Colobox Cranberry Pigment Ink,  Versafine Vintage Sepia
Accessories:  Spellbinders™ Standard Circles Small, Spellbinders™ Pinking Circles LG, Spellbinders™ Classic Scalloped Circles LG, Martha Stewart Eyelet Border Punch, EK Success Scalloped Scalloped Border Punch, Ribbon, Pearls, Laminate (Xyron), Clipboard, white spray paint

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Back to share another quick card.  This is the kind that gives me pure satisfaction because I used old stuff in my stash ;-)  But psst . . . don’t tell anyone, I kind of feel like I’m cheating because it was so easy.  Honest!!  I put 10 minutes into this.  Okay, I put 11 minutes into it because I couldn’t find that darned embossing powder ;-)

Seriously though, I can’t ever seem to make a quick card.  I think I’ve settled onto a personal template that I can use in the future!  Here’s the inspiration.  Rummaging through the clearance bin at Hobby Lobby I came upon some Wedding Invitation/Program kind of things.  Since it was laser cut and distressed, I knew it had to come home with me – in hindsight I wish I would have picked up more than one package.  They have languished about the craft room for probably about a year.  I saw them today and thought how easy and pretty it would be to simply fold the frame in half and drape it across my card.  It sure showcases the paper.  In these, the middle comes out so it left me ample room to put my sentiment.  That’s seriously all there is to this card.  The sentiment is from The Lord Has Risen Set with Our Daily Bread Designs and I cut it from Spellbinders™ Labels Four!!

Here is a picture of the back.  See, I told you . . . quick!!

I know these are discontinued but I will sure be on the look out for more frame type invitations for my personal quick card template.  These are the ones I found just to give you an idea.

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Our Daily Bread Designs – The Lord Has Risen
Paper:  The Paper Company, K&Co., Coredinations
Ink:  Versamark and Embossing Powder
Accessories:  Paper Orchid Imprintable Program, Ribbon, Spellbinders™ Labels Four

Blessings!!  See you soon!!

THANK YOU – I always have my eyes out for a card for my husband’s Deacon Ministry at church. He (therefore Me) has 48 families on his/ our Deacon Family Ministry Plan. We remember our families with cards at Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Birthdays, and am considering adding Wedding Anniversaries. We’re sending out almost 50 cards for each event, so they must be fairly easy. Perhaps I can find a substitute for the lovely wedding “stuff” you found. I’ll definately need to look for some sales! Well, hello there.  Headed into a busy weekend but had a card that I wanted to share first.  This card includes several brand new Magnolia Easter stamps from the Hoppy Easter/Spring Collection available at Magnolia-licious.   It includes #647 Magnolia Floral Background, #648 Open Gate and #3044 Tilda with Flowing Hair and #723 With This Little Miss (sentiment).  I masked all four images to include them in the scene and colored them with Copic Markers.   Yes, this one took a little time, but it was well worth the effort.

All of the new Easter Collection are as cute as can be besides being utterly irresistible.  For this card, I saved room inside for a sentiment that’s so sweet!!

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Courtesy of Magnolia-licious –
#647 Magnolia Floral Background, #648 Open Gate, #3044 Tilda with Flowing Hair, #723 With This Little Miss
Paper:  The Paper Company, K and Co.
Ink:  Memento – Tuxedo Black
Accessories:  Copic Markers, Martha Stewart Daisy Punch, Ribbon, Prima Flower, Spellbinders™ Labels Five

Here’s to hoping you have a most wonderful weekend!!

Becca, thank you thank you thank you for listing the numbers of the Tilda stamps you used. That is great! That way, i can write the numbers down, and go to the Store and order, after i leave your Blog. I just adore this Card. It really tells a story of Spring. Your choice of color goes very well. You colored the fence perfectly. It is obvious you spent a lot of time on it. The lucky recipient! Thanks for sharing your talent. Hugs, barbara, Washington stateReplyCancel
