Hello there!  Thanks for your sweet comments, I’m certainly on the mend and have a card to share.   This one comes from a new set at Our Daily Bread Designs.  The background was made using two sentiments from both Happy Easter and Easter Blessings and the scripture is also from the Easter Blessings set.   

I admit it, this card is kind of different.  For those who keep track – look Ma, no ribbon!!  I pulled out a couple of die cuts that have been in my stash forever.  The center part of my border was made from Cuttlebug Ornamental Iron die and the upper parts were made with a Quckutz bracket die.  I love the frilliness!!  To finish up I embellished with pearls.

In the meantime, I’ve had a little downtime with a migraine today.  No worries, I’m alright now – guess it’s just the old body saying to take a break.   I’ve had enough sleep to last me a week so I guess I’m off to play.  Take care my friends :-) 

ETA:  I have received quite a few emails asking where to get the lace used in THIS project.  I  purchased the lace at Walmart but am no longer able to find it as it was found in one of the small Walmarts with a craft section rather than one of the large Super Centers.  Our last small Walmart was closed and a new Super Center was opened.  Thanks to one of my dear readers, Tammy, she located the lace and was able to confirm for me that indeed it can be found at Walmart.  Thanks Tammy!!

    I too am battling a migraine, no sleep at all Tuesday night, but made up for it last night. It’s a little better today, but it always is better in the am, so we’ll see. Glad you’re better, don’tcha wish we knew what caused them? I’d avoid it like the plague, but have never been able to figure it out, except sometimes bright light does it or too much time on the computer. Well at least they don’t last forever. Greetings and welcome to the JustRite Mega March Blog Hop.    I have a small project to share with you today using the Stitched with Love Set (my very favorite JustRite set)!   I’m always looking for gift items so I decided to pull together some needle cases as a gift item.  So you’re probably asking what a needle case is.  Well, it’s a little wallet type of accessory that you can put pins, needles and thread in.  Since I carry my cardmaking stuff around with me to different rooms and sometimes when I’m on the run . . . I thought this would be nice to have along to thread buttons. 

I made several trial cases before I got the gist of what I wanted to do.  I have a Sizzix Card Box Die that I thought would be perfect to hold the needle case, so I designed both pieces to match and the case fits right inside :-)  Both the Card Box and the Needle case are covered with fabric then embellished.  For the inside of the needle case I cut felt with Spellbinders Long Scalloped Rectangles SM then sewed them end to end and secured them inside the needle case.

    Love this idea of needle holders. I don’t have anything to cut circles, so I think I’m going to have to put out some money for one of the cutters for circles. Right now I just trace around something, but I never get the cutting just right and it’s pretty evident that they are hand cut. LOVE your ideas :)ReplyCancel

    Oh my goodness, Becca, this is just too cute! And useful. I wish I’d seen this idea earlier, as I’ve spent the last week getting items ready to to donate to a fundraiser at work for a coworker’s granddaughter (6 years old!) who has cancer. The bake sale/craft sale was today at work, and everyone really opened their hearts to help raise money to help the family with expenses. These little sewing kits would have been a hit!
