There are still three days left to register for my current blog candy.  You can check out the post with the goodies HERE.  It’s a busy blog day today, so if you are looking for my project for the March Magnolia-licious Design Team Blog Hop click HERE or scroll down to the next post.
Welcome to Day 3 of our special Second Anniversary Celebration at Our Daily Bread Designs!  Thank you to all who have played in yesterday’s China Inspiration Challenge – pop in and check the status of the Challenges at the Our Daily Bread Designs Blog.   Today, we continue our Anniversary theme – Silver and Gold are the traditional gifts for those special milestones in a marriage… the 25th and 50th Anniversaries.

Today’s challenge is to make a project that includes silver and/ or gold. The challenges were originally released on March 7th on the ODBD Blog and I hope you have been busy making your entry so you can play along with us.  Check out the ODBD Blog to read the rules, what to post and where to link.!  The winner will be chosen by random number and will receive a $25.00 Gift Certificate for stamps from the ODBD Store!   The winner will be announced on the ODBD Blog post tomorrow when we issue the next challenge! One thing I can tell you for sure . . . when you see what’s coming on Anniversay Day – March 17th, you will want the $25.00 Gift Certificate!!

There are several of us that completed this challenge and among us is hidden some extra special blog candy!!  Since it is hidden the best way to qualify for this blog candy is to leave a comment for each of the designers on this challenge.  You will not know where it is, but if your name is chosen and you have left a comment for the designers… you will win it!!  Also you won’t know how many have candy each day… so be sure to visit them all and leave some love!

There are still three days left to register for my current blog candy.  You can check out the post with the goodies HERE.

Welcome to the Magnolia-licious Design Team Blog Hop for March.   The hop starts here and if at any time you get lost along the way, simply hop over the Magnolia-licious Highlites Blog to get your bearings – it’s also a great place to go get the details and instructions on how you can play along.

This month the Design Team was tasked with using acetate in our  in a Spring/Easter creations.  Who doesn’t just love acetate?  Well, I decided to make a sweet little gift set.  I have a die cut for a gable box so I simply cut one using acetate and it’s the perfect little thing to personalize to go along with a card.  For my card I’m using #373 Honey Tilda from Magnolia-licious.  I masked her so that she’s sitting on top of a little honey jar which is a separate stamp (#541 Honey Jar).  You can get both of the images at Magnolia-licious.  Diana has reorders coming in all the time so if you don’t see them, be sure to leave her a message.

I kept things fairly simple for this card.  I broke out my Honey Pie by Cosmo Cricket that I have hoarded for longer than I should admit – it seemed just the thing to go with this sweet little Tilda.  I cut the image out with Spellbinders Long Classic Rectangles SM and matted it with Spellbinders™ Long Scalloped Rectangles SM.  I then added a bow and button and decided to let the sweetness of this wonderful paper shine.

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  #373 Honey Tilda and #541 Honey Jar
Paper:  The Paper Company, Cosmo Cricket – Honey Pie
Ink:  Memento – Tuxedo Black
Accessories:  Spellbinders
Long Classic Rectangles SM, Spellbinders Long Classic Scalloped Rectangles SM, Accucut Gable Box, Ribbon, Button, Martha Stewart Border Punch, Copic Markers

Now to move forward on the hop, your next stop is with the fabulous Sharon Caudle.   Get ready for your socks to be knocked off.  Thanks so much for stopping by and I’ll see you next time

There are still four days left to register for my current blog candy.  You can check out the post with the goodies HERE.

Today I’m sharing a card made with a relatively new set from JustRite Stampers called Joyful Hearts.  I love it that all the sentiments are all so optimistic and the ovals are one of my favorite orientations.   I made a medallion using Spellbinders™ Classic Ovals LG – Die 2 on top of an oval that I hand traced to fit.  That pairing is layered on top of  Spellbinders™ Classic Ovals LG – Die 3  with my stamped JustRite Border and Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Ovals LG – Die 3.  The bottom layers is Spellbinders™ Labels Eleven – Die 4.  Everything is smudged with Antique Linen Distress Ink.

For the detail work I pulled my Martha Stewart Loopy Border Punch and punched two edges of my cardstock.  I took a silk embroidery ribbon and zigzagged through the loops up and back to create a lattice along the center of the card.  Each of three other edges are punched with a Martha Stewart Flourish Border Punch.

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  JustRite Stamps:  Joyful Hearts
Paper:  The  Paper Company, K & Co.
Ink:  Versafine Vintage Sepia, Antique Linen Distress Ink
Accessories:  Spellbinders
Labels 13 – Die 4, SpellbindersClassic Scalloped Oval LG – Die 3, SpellbindersClassic Ovals LG – Die 2 & Die 3, Satin Ribbon, Silk Ribbon, Button, Martha Stewart Loopy Border Punch, Martha Stewart Flourish Border Punch, Pearls

Why is that springing forward is so hard for me?  I love the falling back but literally have to brace myself for springing forward.  Well the good thing is there is absolutely no doubt that spring is on the way!!  Thanks so much for stopping by.

    2. 12 stamps to represent the months but the centers be a different animal or characture….not the number or the month name…that could be around the circle.ReplyCancel
