You know from time to time we work on things behind the scenes and look forward with great anticipation to the day that they are public.   I’ve been keeping a secret and finally, finally, finally I can share!!   Some time ago, I had the sweet opportunity to work on some wedding projects using some of my "go to" Spellbinders products.  I’ll be honest, just to have the opportunity totally blew me away – but it gets better!!

Okay so here goes . . . I’ve been published in a book called "Create Your Dream Wedding"!!!!!   I still cannot believe it!  I’m so honored plus I’m floating on Cloud 9 because my designs are on the cover!   I have a number of projects in there, supply lists as well as instructions accompany each project.

Pinch me, okay????

All of the artwork was provided by Spellbinders, it was published by DRG and is currently being sold by Annie’s Attic.  You can purchase the books now and they will also be available at the Spellbinders Booth at CHA.  Stacey Caron of Spellbinders will be signing copies from 2 – 4 pm on Sunday at CHA.   You can peek at it HERE.

P.S.  Had it not been for your warm comments and constant encouragement, I’m not sure I’d have the opportunity to write this post today.  Thank you – you wonderful, fun and engaging readers!  Who else would let me gush like this!

Hugs,
Becca

Becca you are the reason I got into card making. I have seen hand made cards, but most of them looked like ” handy hands at home” creations. I never cared for the home spun look. A little over a year ago a friend sent me an email saying her husband had given her the money to buy a CuttleBug but she couldn’t find any. All the stores seem to be out of them. Did I know where she might find one? I said , “What is a Cuttlebug” ? I then went on the net to see this Cuttlebug she wrote of and somehow in my research I stumbled onto your site. I sat there with my mouth agape and said “OMG I have to learn to do this. These cards are gorgeous !” I buy what you use and have spent a small fortune, but I am loving every card I make and give. Many of my cards are CASED from your site.ReplyCancel

oh congrats! I used to work with my landlord on wedding flowers. She thought it was just a way to make some money and no big deal. I will tell you what I told her. You will always have a very special place in this couples’ life–you made the flowers that appear in every photo of their wedding and you Becca, will always have a special place as you were instrumental in the invitation–the very start of the marriage process. Next, you must work on the next stage of their life–baby cards, invites, etc ;) I can hardly wait until I see the complete book. Your paper, bows, ribbons, pearls and other supplies inspire us all. Be proud my fellow papercrafter, be proud. God bless

Today I’m sharing another sweet sentiment from Quietfire Design called The Secret of Genius.  I just can’t bear to put the sentiment on the inside of the card because I think they are drop dead gorgeous for center stage on the front.

One of my favorite new shapes is Spellbinders™ Labels Twelve; the curved edges remind me of a vintage shape.  My card is simple, but I stacked the shapes and used one of the throw away pieces from Spellbinders™ Lattice Borderabilities® Petite as corner pieces.   For the curly tendril on my flower I used Spellbinders™ Doodleparts.   The unique lacy ribbon is Mays Art – it’s totally wired and posable ;-)

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Quietfire Design – The Secret of Genius
Paper:  DCWV – Mariposa, The Paper Company – Pink with Gold Dots
Ink:  Green Dye Based Ink
Accessories:  Spellbinders™ Labels Twelve, Spellbinders™ Doodle Parts, Spellbinders™ Lattice Borderabilities® Petite,  Pearls, Mays Art Ribbon

Thanks for stopping by today!!

Brrrr there!  Am I the only one who can’t seem to get up off the sofa to do chores because I’m so c-c-cold?  There, I’m blowing the scent of my hot chocolate in your general direction ;-)  I’m sharing a simple watercolored card today that I pulled from my ready to share stash.  I simply cut and colored several layers of this sweet angel with my Tombow markers.  I layered her on a combination of Spellbinders™ Long Classic Rectangles LG and Spellbinders™ Long Classic Scalloped Rectangles LG

I hung a little gold ring to symbolize her halo!  No bow, but a knot with wide ribbon to finish things off!  My sentiment is matted by a layer cut using Fiskars Apron Lace Border Punch.

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Stampendous, Inkadinkado
Paper:  Coredinations, GP White, 140lb Strathmore Watercolor Paper, K & Co.
Ink:  Black Brilliance, Colorbox Merlot
Accessories:  Spellbinders™ Long Classic Rectangles LG, Spellbinders™ Long Classic Scalloped Rectangles LG, Fiskars Apron Lace Punch, Satin Ribbon, Tombow Markers

Okay, I’m going back to get under the sweet quilt my darling sister-in-law made me and hubby for Christmas.  I hope my post finds you snuggling and cozy with your loved ones.
