Welcome to the first Our Daily Bread designs Blog Hop of 2010!   If you got here from Dawn Lusk at Dawn and New Day you are in the right place!  If not, you might want to go back to the Our Daily Bread Designs Blog and start the hop from there!

We are kicking off the new year with the release of three new sets, perfect for Baptisms, Confirmation, and New Baby cards!  Three blessed hoppers will be chosen randomly to receive one set of their choice!   All you have to do to be eligible to win is complete the hop, leaving comments on each blog and returning to the ODBD Blog and leaving your answer to the question there by Monday, Jan. 4 at 8PM EST.  The question will be posted on the ODBD blog, but here’s a tip . . .  as you are hopping along, take note of your favorite set and what you like best about them!   Remember you could be one of the three lucky winners :-)!!

New!!
One of the big changes that we are so excited about is that Our Daily Bread designs has accepted a position as a Member Company on Splitcoaststampers!  For another chance to be a winner please visit the ODBD Welcome Forum and leave a comment by January 10!   If you do, you will be entered into a drawing to win a $50.00 Gift Certificate to the ODBD Store!   We have a many things planned including Challenges and a special Prayer Request area!

New!!
Speaking of Challenges,  we will be having a weekly challenge! The weekly challenge will be posted on the SCS Forum as well as the ODBD Blog.   That means more prizes and awards, and fun for all!!!   More on that shortly… stay tuned to the Our Daily Bread designs blog and the SCS Forum for further details. For now… just be sure to be back on Jan 9 when our first Challenge of the New Year will kick off!

So now, about my card.  I selected a powerful sentiment from the newly released Baptism and Confirmation Verses Set.  Using Spellbinders™ Labels Six set to make a frame, I used MS punches for the flowers, and tied ribbon to finish the design off.

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Our Daily Bread Designs, Baptism and Confirmation Sets
Paper:  The Paper Studio
Ink:  Versamark
Accessories:  Spellbinders™ Labels Six, Ribbon Pearls, Ms Pop Up Water Lilly, MS Pop Up Lilly, Gold Embossing Powder

From here hop to Angie Zublionis with Quacking Creations, you will not want to miss the great  inspiration she has for you today!

Have fun hopping, and Happy New Year from the Our Daily Bread designs Bread Basket!

    Dear Becca,

Thank you for using one of the stamps from the Baptism and Confirmation Set. I have not seen many examples of this card. You set a beautiful example for this stamp. The beautiful gold in the paper and the pearls and flowers in the pure white add a beautiful touch to these beautiful words!

I have loved the Noah stamp the most thus far, but I really need some serious scropture stamps.

    He IS Able!

    Hi Becca,
Happy New Year!. Your cards are so very elegant. I love all the stamps but my favorite is the confirmation, when I saw your card I imagined the angels rejoicing in heaven when one is received in the family of God. I just ordered the label six so I can for the first time with the supplies I have make a similar card. Thank you for the inspiration.
    God continued blessings.

Hello there!  There was no way that I would have let today go by without a post, after all, it’s the last day of 2009.  OMG where did it go?  Today I’m sharing one of the newest JustRite Stampers releases called Romantic Sentiments.  It features 1 5/8" sentiments that can be used with the Decorative 2" Round Wide Borders; I think they go together beautifully!   I made this for my sweet sweet guy and I don’t think I can wait for Valentines Day to give it to him (wink).

To frame the sentiment I decided to use Spellbinders™ Classic Heart #4 and #6.  I intertwined the two hearts by clipping through at the top part that I hid when I overlapped the two.  Then I treaded through a strip of paper punched with MS Traditional Eyelet Border Punch.   Then I created a medallion that begins at the bottom with Spellbinders™ Classic Scalloped Circles LG #3, Spellbinders™ Large Octagons #4 ( I used two of them and offset them so that the contract color peeks out) . . . I know, it’s just the little things.  I stamped my 2" border on the top octagon then continued with Spellbinders™ Standard Circles LG #2 and Spellbinders™ Standard Circles SM #2.  I stamped my sentiment on the last layer and secured them each using foam tape in between the layers.

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  JustRite Romantic Sentiments, JustRite Decorative 2" Round Wide Borders
Paper:  K & Co., Coredinations, The Paper Company
Ink:  Ancient Page – Cardinal
Accessories:  Spellbinders™ Classic Heart, Spellbinders™ Classic Scalloped Circles LG, Spellbinders™ Large Octagons Spellbinders™ Standard Circles LG, Spellbinders™ Standard Circles SM, MS Tradiitonal Eyelet Border Punch, Ribbon

This year has been a good year for me sprinkled with a little bit of hard times, good friends, great surprises and a lot of love.  I can’t wait to jump into 2010 how about you?  I’m dying to know how you plan to ring in the new year tonight!

New Year was quiet here – I had some time off over Christmas so I had to work on NYE.

    I hope 2010 is a wonderful year for you.ReplyCancel

Just a note to wish everyone a Merry, Merry Christmas!  I hope today finds you in good health, good spirits and good company.  As I reflect upon the year, I’m overcome with the knowledge that there is so much to be thankful for.  Blogging this year has put me in touch with so many wonderful people that my heart swells with gratitude.  Many come every day and leave a kind word – although I’m pressed for time to answer – I’m not too pressed to be grateful for your online friendship.  Blogging is a therapy for me and the friendships and warm words are a bonus I treasure.  Please accept my best wishes to you all and your families for this Holiday Season.

I am sharing a quick card today made using the new So Jolly, So Snowy, Mistletoe Collection from Magnolia-licious. This is 3018 – Silent Night Tilda – adorable, hunh!  To showcase her I’ve used Spellbinders Labels Eight, Spellbinders Snowflake Frame and the small Spellbinders Curved Rectangles is perfect for the sentiment.

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Magnolia – 3018 – Silent Night Tilda at Magnolia-licous
Paper – Cosmo Cricket –
Ink:  Memento – Tuxedo Black
Accessories:  Spellbinders Labels Eight, Spellbinders Snowflake Frame, Spellbinders Curved Rectangles, Copic Markers, Ribbon

Blessing to you all on today as we celebrate the birth of our Saviour, Jesus Christ.
