Hello everyone!  Welcome to the Our Daily Bread Designs November Release Blog Hop!  If you came here from Debi Southard’s Blog – Debi’s Crazy Life, you are in the right place!  If you happened on my blog but did not start at the Our Daily Bread Designs Blog,  you really should go back and start from there!  The reason is that there are secret words hidden along the hop which you need to collect along with the name of each Designer.  Then you have finished the hop you will return to the ODBD Blog and leave a comment that you have visited all the blogs and a special email address will be given to you so you can email the secret words you found in the correct order.  That’s all you have to do for the chance to win the entire new release this month!  That’s three GREAT new sets that will help you with all your card making needs just in time for Christmas!!!

Our Design Team Challenge this month was to make a Holiday Card and make it Shimmer!  ODBD owner, Kelley Holland, sent us all some GREAT designer papers that have shimmer, PLUS we each got a bottle of Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist, so these projects shimmer all over the place!!!   For my card I used the gorgeous SEI Tisnov Foiled Paper from the Moravia Collection that Kelley sent along with a luscious bronze piece of Prism Metallic card stock.  My poinsettias were spritzed with Tattered Angels Irrisdescent Gold Glimmer Mist!!  They use new Our Daily Bread Design Sets Blessed Christmas and Luke 2:11.

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Our Daily Bread Designs – Blessed Christmas, Luke 2:11
Paper:  SEI Moravia, 140 lb Strathmore Watercolor Paper, Prism Metallic Cardstock
Ink:  Versafine Black Onyx and Clear Embossing Powder
Accessories:  Tatted Angels Irridescent Gold Glimmer Mist, Ribbon, Martha Stewart Rings Border Punch

Now from here you need to go visit Deb Saaranen’s Blog – Dream in Color.    Before you go… my secret word is "Christ".  Please note that if you have any problems along the blog, hop over to the ODBD Blog for todays post to see the order of the hop and the list of Design Team Members.

Here are the Rules for the Blog Hop Contest.  In order to be eligible to win, you must:

  1. Write down each DT name and their secret word or words
  2. Comment on each blog on the hop
  3. Return to the ODBD Blog and leave a comment there that you left a comment on each blog (but don’t mention the secret words!)
  4. Email gnywening@yahoo.com by 8PM EST on Nov 3, giving the DT names and their secret word/words.
  5. Grace will verify that all requirements are met and then randomly choose a winner.
  6. The winner will be emailed at the email address they used to email their submission.
Remember …One LUCKY WINNER will win the entire release!

One More Chance to Win…

Please be sure to check out the ODBD Blog "Latest Challenge" to join our Design Team in this month’s Challenge!  The challenge this month is to make a Holiday Card and make it SHIMMER!  There are many ways you can do that… so this is easy enough for all to play along!  You might use Shimmery Designer Paper, Glimmer Mist, Shimmerz, Twinkling H2O’s, etc.  Just show us the shimmer so fitting to the Christmas season!

Everyone is invited to play along!  You DO NOT have to use Our Daily Bread designs stamps to win, but if you have them, we LOVE to see them!!!  Link your card to the Latest Challenge Thread on the ODBD Blog by Nov. 15th by 8 PM EST.  There will be a $30.00 Store Credit given to the winner of this challenge!  Show us the Shimmer!!!

As much as I love coffee and as much as I love my friends, I couldn’t believe that I had not used THIS set from JustRite Stampers yet!  I think I got all wrapped up in Christmas too much to know that this set was surely calling my name!!  Funny, because when I do little gifts my default is a coffee basket and this set fits in to that vein very well!

I’m using this weeks sketch from Mojo Monday – it fit perfectly!  As you can see, I opted to use one of the stamps from the set as a stand alone sentiment instead of as a center or insde a border.  That’s the nifty thing about these stamps – even though they are coordinated to fit concentrically on the stamp mount – it’s easy to break out the mold and use them anywhere.

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  JustRite –  A Little Caffeine and Friends Centers and Borders
Paper:  My Minds Eye – Tres Belle, Bazzill, The Paper Company – Blonde Columns
Ink:  Tuxedo Black Memento
Accessories:  Copic Markers, Spellbinders Classic Square Large, Spellbinders Classic Square Small, Spellbinders Standard Circles Small, Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Circles Small, Spellbinders Classic Rectangles Large, Ribbon, Martha Stewart Deco Shells Border, Martha Stewart Daisy Fan Deep Edge Punch

There are lots of exciting things coming in November!!  Be sure to stop by and see me tomorrow, Our Daily Bread Designs is having a blog hop to celebrate new designs!!  Stay tuned!!

I love coffee and this set is a particular fave of mine…You card is sooo beautiful and so inspiring. Thanks for sharing.ReplyCancel

I’m back to share another of these adorable little Holly Berry House boxes from Stamper’s Dream; this one is called Poinsettia II Victorian Treasure Box.  The first one I did was white card stock, gold embossing and colored with Tombow Markers; you can peek at it HERE.  Night and Day, right?   I wanted to change it up a little bit and this time I stamped on kraft card stock, black embossing and colored with Copics plus distressed it up a bit.

This is always a fun project and is something I pick when I’m watching TV and need something to keep my hands busy – cutting :-)  I stamped the box 5 times onto a patterned paper and joined them together at the seams with red sticky tape then closed the top and bottom of the box.  Next I stamped the center five time times on my solid colored kraft .  I colored each panel with copics then cut the square panel out and adhered it over each side of the box.

For the top poinsettia (Holly Berry House Persnickety Poinsettia Medium Medallion), I picked a K & Co patterned design paper and simply embossed it with black.  For each piece I distressed with Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink and Vintage Photo Distress Ink.   Each of the square panels is 2 1/4" x 2 1/4" so with the five panels of the box the rough size is 3 1/2′ wide by 2 1/4" tall.  It’s large enough for treats but this box could easily hang as a vintage ornament on a Christmas Tree.

Project Recipe:
Stamps:  Stampers Dream – HBH Poinsettia II Victorian Treasure Box, HBH Persnickety Poinsettia Medium Medallion
Paper:  The Paper Company – Kraft, Die Cuts with a View, K & Co.
Ink:  Versafine Black Onyx, Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories:  Copic Markers, Black Embossing Powder

See you tomorrow with some more goodies, okay?

I just visited the Holly Berry House in Colorado Springs, Co. They showed me how they make the stamps, from start to finish. A great place to visit, just one little problem. I WANTED THEM ALL. They make the neatest stamps. And most in several different sizes. It was hard to pick just a few! ReplyCancel
