JustRite is the sponsor this week over at CPS Card Sketches so the second I saw the sketch, I knew what I wanted to do.  The round motifs match perfectly with any of the roundish JustRite elements and I also thought it a perfect opportunity to use my Spellbinders Nested Poinsettia!   The JustRite set I’m using is JustRite Merry and Bright Christmas Borders and Centers.

I was able to use my I-Topper tool; I love that thing.  Using the innards of the book I dissected last week, I used the print pages to make the I-Topper brads that sit in the middle of the poinsettias – they are colored using Antique Linen and Tea Dye Distress Inks.  For the leaves I used Spellbinders On the Vine Borderabilities Grand and swiped over them with Pine Needles Distress Ink and a little bit of Tea Dye Distress Ink.  The poinsettias are made with the two smaller of the three nested die templates.  I edged each with Aged Mahogany Distress Ink and used the edge of my scissors to curl the petals down.   The center motif is a Making Memories tag I made with vellum.  The frilly edge is the companion piece from the Spellbinders In Spades Pendant.

If you haven’t visited in a while, I wanted to let you know that Thursday, September 24 is the last day of the Super Font sale over at JustRite – the details are HERE.

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  JustRite – Merry Little Christmas Borders and Centers
Paper:  The Paper Company, book print
Ink:  Versafine Black Onyx and Clear Embossing Powder, Aged Mahogany Distress Ink, Pine Needles Distress Ink, Antique Linen Distress Ink, Tea Dye Distress Ink
Accessories:  Spellbinders On the Vine Borderabilities Grand, Spellbinders In Spades Pendant, Spellbinders Nested Poinsettia, EK Success Round Punches, Paper Shapers Photo Mounts.

Thanks so much for your well wishes, I am feeling much better :-)  Happy Stamping friends!

Have you been enjoying all the projects with Fonts shared by the JustRite DT and guests?  What an eye full, lol!!  If you missed it you will want to start HERE!!  I’m sharing a card today using a different JustRite Font.  Remember the 30% off Font Sale doesn’t end until September 24th, so there’s still time to get over there and make your selection.

How many times do you have the right card, the right paper, the right ribbon, but no sentiment.  Happens to me all the time and it’s too easy to pull out my JustRite font sets and make exactly what I need.  The extra special feature on this card is the Rite Sentiment!   Here are the steps I took to make it.

Stamp image and color on watercolor paper using Tombow markers.
Stamp extra image for a mask.
Cut/emboss image from
Spellbinders Labels Four shape leaving template in place.
Cut/emboss background from
Spellbinders Curved Rectangles while leaving template in place.
Mask image, airbrush sky and beach using Copic Airbrush System then remove templates.
Back with dark blue paper and mount each layer using pop dots.
Add ribbon and pearls.
Cut/emboss shape using
Spellbinders Petite Scalloped Ovals Large.
Cut/emboss shape using
Spellbinders Petite Ovals Small.
Stamp using
JustRite Trompe Font Lower Case – 25 point and JustRite Trompe Font Upper Case – 25 point
Mount on lower right corner of card.

Card Recipe:
Stamps:   JustRite Trompe Script Upper Case 25 point Font, Trompe Script Lower Case 25 point font,
American Art Stamps – Couple in Love
Paper:  140lb Strathmore Watercolor paper, Bazzill
Versafine Black Onyx, Clear Embossing Powder, Memento – Lady Bug
Accessories:
Spellbinders Petite Ovals Small, Spellbinders Petite Scalloped Ovals Large, Spellbinders Labels 4, Spellbinders Curved Rectangles, Tombow Markers, Copic Airbrush System, Pearls, Mays Arts Silk Ribbon

If you haven’t already, you can still leave a comment for the Mystery Blog Candy HERE  – remember it will be announced at Noon on Sunday!!  Happy Stamping Friends!!

Have you registered for the Mystery Blog Candy from the JustRite Blog Hop? You can register on my post from September 17th HERE.

After two days of migraines, I think I had healing on my mind.  Speaking of healing, Our Daily Bread Designs has new September sets to cover more occasions than you can shake a stick at.  I used the Get Well set for both of my cards but the other new sets include Friendship and Thinking of You.   These are based on SCS SC246 – I love that sketch – enough so that I did one card upright and the second horizonally.

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Our Daily Bread Designs – Get Well
Paper:  Bazzill, DCWV – Rustic
Ink:  Versafine Black Onyx
Accessories:  Ribbon, Bling

This sketch goes in my sketch book as a classic!  It gave me a great chance to show off some design paper as well as ample place to stamp.  For this one I pulled out a circular bling element that I’ve been hoarding for some time.

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Our Daily Bread Designs – Get Well
Paper: The Paper Studio, Bazzill
Ink:  Versafine – Sepia, Colorbox – Chanti
Accessories:  Circular Bling, Ribbon

Don’t forget about the unpredented 30% off of Fonts over at JustRite.  The sale on them goes from September 17 to 24th check it out HERE.  Sorry to be so brief, I’m a little bit under the weather but I’ll be back sometime this weekend with more schtuff :-)
