I’m quite sure that you all thought I disappeared off of the face of the earth.  I’ve found things to be busy at CHA – you know, things to see, people to meet.  Since it is my first CHA you can imagine that my eyes are wide with wonder and it is sensory overload.  I wanted to hop online very quick to tell you about some new things that caught my eye.

Coming from a bona fide gadget junkie, this little baby is the niftiest tool.   It is made by Imaginisce and will be available starting September 1st.   It basically allows you to make covered buttons as brads using either paper, fabric, felt, lace, velour, velvet or any other material that is slightly pliable.  I’m a huge button/brad fanatic but my budget usually holds me back; I  can’t wait until I can make my own.   This tool make three different sizes and helps to cinch your material in the pink cups while the hammer looking piece of the tool pushes the back onto the brad and secures it.  You can have a look HERE to see the tool and supplies.

Moving on, I met a stamping icon at the Hero Arts booth. Jennifer McGuire, was doing make and takes and showing off lots of Hero Arts goodness.  Jennifer shared that Hero Arts is now selling stamps in a cling mounted format!!   Yay!!!   Although they already have clear offerings, those who love red rubber but bemoan the storage issue are definitely in luck!!

There are quite a few remarkable paper lines at the show so keep your eyes out for Graphic 45, Cosmo Cricket, Pink Paislee, October Afternoon, Jenny Bowlin.  Hint, hint, I’m twisting the arm of my good friend Michelle Rodgers with Stampers Dream that she needs to carry these.  So far she says I’m winning the battle and that some of these have arrived at her store with others soon on the way.

Here is a view of some of the Graphic45 paper . . .

That’s all for now, I’ll post more pictures soon!

Well, put your challenge hats on folks.  JustRite is the host of the challenge this week at 2Sketches4U!!  The winning card get s a $100 JustRite Certificate – I’m just sayin’.  I’m blogging from my hotel room hence the brief post, and wanted to share the card that I contributed for the challenge using the JustRite Thinking of You set.  The recipe for stacking the ovals is the same as I used yesterday.  Again, the oval perfectly matches Spellbinders Classic Ovals, Small which I used for the sentiment and the Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Oval, Large followed by the Spellbinders Classic Ovals Large.

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  JustRite Stamps – Thinking of You
Paper:  My Minds Eye – Tres Belle, The Paper Company
Ink:  Colorbox Chalk Ink – Pastel Pink
Accessories:  Spellbinders Classic Ovals Large, Spellbinders Classic Ovals Small, Spellbinders Scalloped Ovals Large, Pearls, Ribbon

 Thanks for stopping by!!

Greetings!!   I have a quick card to share with you and I’m excited to say that it’s a new release set from JustRiteJustRite’s Autumn Blessings set has 6 borders and centers and after seeing it, it’s making me yearn for fall.  (Did I really say that?)  I did not use traditional fall colors here because this stamp can be used year round.  Several of the other images in the set give you the flexibility to be used year round, but when you see the artwork I’m sure you’ll be able to imagine the glory of fall colors – you can see it here.

Autumn Blessings is used with the oval 1/4" x 3 1/16" mount.  This oval perfectly matches Spellbinders Classic Ovals, Small which I used for the sentiment and Spellbinders Classic Ovals, Large which I used for the border.  I layered this pairing on top of a Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Oval, Large – how cool is that!!  The whole medallion is layered on top of one of the new Spellbinders releases, Spellbinders Labels 9.

Tip:  Many of you ask exactly which ovals I used.  With the sets nestled together with the smallest on the inside, count from the center to the fourth largest die template (out of five) on the Classic Ovals Small, the Classic Ovals Large and the Scalloped Ovals Large and you will match the pairings I’ve shown above.

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  JustRite – Autumn Blessings Set
Paper:  The Paper Company, Paper Loft – Grandma’s Attic
Ink:  SU Always Artichoke
Accessories:  Spellbinder Labels 9,  Spellbinders Classic Ovals Large, Spellbinders Classic Ovals Small Ovals, Spellbinders Scalloped Ovals Large, Pearls, Ribbon

CHA Bound!  I know, I’ve said that every day this week.  Can you tell I’m excited?

You ALWAYS have such nice cards, and I love the bows. How do you get them so perfect? Do you use that bow easy thing, or what. and what size ribbons. These are much larger than I usually work with. On a recent contest, they asked us to name someone who’s art we’d most like to be able to reproduce, and guess what – naturally your name was top on my list!ReplyCancel
