Introducing Romancing the Swirl Collection by Amazing Paper Grace

Welcome sweet friends, today we are introducing my new dies – you’ve seen this picture before when I peeked it in January and now I’m thrilled to say this is out and is lovely to work with.  Welcome to the Romancing the Swirl Collection – you can take a quick peek at the entire collection ——-> HERE.

About Romancing the Swirl Collection
The Romancing the Swirl Collection by Amazing Paper Grace for Spellbinders is chock full of calligraphic swirls and elegant, classic dreamy motifs that will be in style for years to come.  Meant to be used together across the collection, every die will be in character with another as they are combined.  Well rounded with squares, circles, ovals, and rectangles – each combination provides the ability to create a layering masterpiece adorned with the extra embellishments in the collection.

Join us as each Creative Team member shares their creations with two dies from the collection.  We’ll be sharing creations for weeks to come so you have a continuous source of inspiration!  We are listing all of the creative team below so that you don’t miss a beat on the hop.  Don’t forget, each of us will be giving away an Amazing Paper Grace die pulled from the comments – one from each blog.  The prize details are at the bottom of my post.  So, without further ado let me talk about the dies I get to introduce:

My Projects Today:

First up is S5 – 365 – Sweetheart Swirl

Introducing Romancing the Swirl Collection by Amazing Paper Grace

As I mentioned. I’ve shown you this card before but it’s truly one of my favorite and I’ve made it many times.  Sweetheart Swirl is a magnificent oval that seems to accommodate just about anything.  It is regal and so very romantic.

Second up is S4-927 – Trefoil Crest and S4-930 – Curvy Labels

For my sample I’m using Trefoil Crest!  It’s a delightful embellishment that I’ve nestled with Curvy Labels and they seem like a very likely pair.   I love that the shape is open which allows for a sentiment or another die cut!

You know…… I just love seeing all the amazing things you come up with. You have given me so much inspiration. So, so happy for all your success. I have been with you from almost the beginning. I remember seeing your cards for the first time and my eyes did a double take. I didn’t know it was possible to make a card into such a masterpiece. In fact, you were the very first person I knew who made cards. Wow, such a long time ago. Anyway, I just wanted to congratulate you and let you know how much you are appreciated. May God continue to bless you with much happiness. Many hugs sent your way. Denice with a “c”ReplyCancel

So exciting, Becca, to see all these dies in action! I know I think this about every collection, but I think this may be your most popular collection, yet. Classic, elegant styling every one and they’re Romancing the Swirl – how perfect is that?

Further to my previous comments, after viewing all the sites of your creative team, I think the Swirl Background is my favorite. With previous blog hops I’ve been dismayed not to be able to “win” the featured dies (& I love how everyone featured the packaged die in their post!) but there have been availability limitations to getting some of the past collection, plus I see how previous dies would be such great companions to ones I have now that I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to expand my collection! You and your team have done a super job introducing these wonderful dies.ReplyCancel

Hi there friends, there’s always a little news to share but also a card with a Repeating Motif!  This is a card that I made on TV while at Hochanda.  I was intrigued with the little flower piece that is in the center of  Sweetheart Swirl from Romancing the Swirl.  I built a card around the motif and thought it was so appropriate for say, a young girl :-)  More on how I created it later.

Just a note to remind you that on Monday, May 14 the Amazing Paper Grace Creative Team will be having a Blog Hop and showing you each.and.every.set for Romancing the Swirl.  The dies will be available for sale on Monday and I’ll be totally honest with you – A2 Swirl is already sold out from the UK surge.  Many of you email me for sources and I want to encourage you to go ahead and buy them.  We’ll be showcasing them for the next several weeks and you can play along.

Speaking of sources, 3D Vignettes is now being stocked in the UK after many, many weeks waiting for replenishment.  Christine with Hope and Chances Creativity managed to get her hands on some so I encourage you to check with her —–> HERE.

My Card Today – with a Repeating Motif

Repeating Motif Card Ideas by Becca Feeken using Sweetheart Swirl by Amazing Paper Grace for Spellbinders from Romancing the Swirl - see full supply list at www.amazingpapergrace.com/?p=33968

For this card I simply cut 12 motifs.  I placed a piece of double sided foam on the back of each motif and removed the liner so that it was ready to stick.  Then I linked four together horizontally and pulled them taught across while letting them stick to my background.  I did that three times.  Such an easy card!!

This just seemed perfect to me for a young woman perhaps for graduation.  So feminine and yet elegant and remarkably, how easy!

A Pin for you :-)

A special shout out to Sunrise Crafts in the UK, who laid out the red carpet for me.  I had two demos there and they welcomed me like family…I’m so grateful.  Look at these gorgeous flowers they put in my arms as I said farewell.  Gorgeous!  By the way, they had a lovely shop at the site of a historic mill that created crystal.  More info about them —-> HERE.

He is much better now but had me a little concerned for a while. My very best wishes. Many hugs and God bless…Denice with a “c”ReplyCancel

Wow, so much to share! I’m back from my journey and let me tell you, jet lag is for real. I’m exhausted, but not too exhausted to share some lovely news. (Did you catch that “lovely” – it’s going to take me a while for the British vocab – which I love – to ebb out of my system.) First things first, Romancing the Swirl was revealed in the UK and I was blessed with a sell-out.  We showed nine of the dies out of the collection, but not quite the whole collection. My news today is the Amazing Paper Grace Creative Team will be revealing the entire collection – every.single.die – on Monday, May 14 at 9:00 am Central Time in another Amazing Paper Grace Introducing Blog Hop and of course all the prizes. As always, we’re going to show you exactly what you can make from each set of dies beginning on Monday and in the weeks ahead.

In the past, I’ve struggled to respond to handmade card and die winners. I’m a one-woman show and sometimes deadlines get the best of me. My second piece of lovely news and I’m so tickled to say that Melissa Bove from my Creative Team is going to spearhead coordinating all winnings so they come to you quicker.  Continue to keep your ears on this because in the coming months we’re going to expand this campaign – Day of Giving is coming back!!  I’ve had it on my heart to start some new programs that include our desire to reach out and give and include you! So, there is more in the works now that I have some help :-)

My Card Today

I thought I would share one of the cards I made on-screen while at Hochanda last week.  I’ve used one of the new sets from Romancing the Swirl called Ringlet Round.   The accent piece is from the Swirl Booklet Insert – this is actually one of my favorites and it was a delight to watch it reach an early sell out on Hochanda before all the others in the collection.   My card is adorned with a new sentiment by Quitefire Design called Where Words Fail.   I needed a simple make because I was on TV, but I still think it fits the classic, elegant rule but with the bonus of being quick to put together.

These dies are available next week.  Please click on the Notify Me Button so you’ll get an alert when it’s ready.

I had a magnificent time in the UK.  It was all work for this girl but I snapped a couple of pictures outside my hotel.  That made me so thankful for the everyday beauty we live in – I’ll try to share them soon.  The vibe in the UK was sooooooo me!  I loved the sight of people sipping tea outside of the cafe, cobblestones, downtown shopping, the quaint ambiance.  More than that, I adore the speech – it’s so very lovely – music to my ears.  When I got the hotel, the desk attendant called me ‘madame’.  Madame? Oh my goodness, that made me smile.

OH MY GOODNESS, Becca! I would smile too if someone called me “madame!” LOL You can’t even get kids or adults to call you, “Mr. or Mrs.” here in the states anymore! It’s always, “Miss” whether you’re married or not! UGH! I’m SO GLAD you had a WONDERFUL TIME in the UK & had good sales!

Your card is BEAUTIFUL! I LOOOOVE the gold swirls! SO DELICATE & just GORGEOUS! Your card has a sophisticated feel to it with the linen color (or so it looks to me on this machine), & the ribbon with your swirls! ;) I LOOK FORWARD to seeing THE WHOLE RELEASE on Monday!!!! ;)ReplyCancel

Hey there, I am so thankful for your accomplishments as of late. This card says it all for my own heart. When I am in the middle of a life storm, music ?soothes my wounded heart, as the sentiment says, where words fail. I will often play songs that speak the words that are on my heart that I am not able to utter.ReplyCancel

  • Anne(UK)May 10, 2018 - 6:45 pm

I had to do a double take as I hadn’t commented today, but saw a post from an ‘Anne in the UK’ and wondered if I’d had a very senior moment and somehow managed to post without remembering! :o) Waves to another Anne in the UK! I added the (UK) when I first came to the blog years ago as I don’t think there were any other Brits here at that time!
You had a punishing schedule, Becca, yet held up so well considering the jet lag that blights you when you travel from the US to the UK. Those overnight flights are draining. You looked as fresh as a daisy on Sunday, even though I’m sure the time difference was playing havoc with your internal clock.
Do hope that things settle quickly for you and that you manage to sleep at the right times!
You were a great ambassador and I love the large dies! A heavy package arrived yesterday and I will be off to play. The dies are absolutely lovely :o)
    Hugs

Truly gorgeous card today, as always, and it was lovely to see you on a Hochanda rewind since I missed the shows. You certainly didn’t look jet lagged – in fact you looked ‘lovely’! I’m Welsh and we use the word lovely such a lot because it’s a perfect word for many things. Now living in England, I am often mocked for my probably overuse of the word! I hope you get over your jet lag soon – you must be on a real high after your, deservedly, successful launch. Looking forward to seeing what you creative team have in store for us.
