If you’ve visited much since I began blogging, you may have noticed that I have a fondness for Wordsworth stamps.  I have a small collection and it’s been a dream come true to actually use them.  I have many more to go, but once I’m done you can rest assured that I’ll casually mention to my husband that I’ve used them up and perhaps it’s time to get more….(smiles innocently).

The card is 7" tall by 3.5" wide – I know, how odd!   I finally found a way to work in the Memory Box – Sprout paper from my stash!  Lastly the bridal flowers from Michaels were originally too stark to use as they were, so I shaded them with V01 Copic.

Supplies:
Stamps:  Wordsworth, KT Designs
Paper:  Memory Box – Sprout; Bazzill
Ink:  SU Elegant Eggplant
Accessories:  Ribbon; Dew Drops; Michael’s Brides Flowers; Martha Stewart Punch; Copics

As always, thank you for stopping by.  I so appreciate all the sweet, sweet comments that are left and feel blessed to know you take a moment out of your day to visit.

Another choice of stamp from my short stack.  I’ve been trying to think of a different way to work with this stamp and today, with much trepidation, I pulled out my brayer.  We were slightly reacquainted, but there  is still a lot of bonding to do.  On this card I really played it safe with that brayer because I’m not so much at home with using it.  First, I stamped with Black Brilliance then embossed with clear embossing powder.   I masked off the sky and brayered in the mountains, then masked the mountains, laid down a dot for the sun and brayered over it with SU Bordering Blue.  I pulled up the masking dot and colored the shape with So Saffron and More Mustard.

Supplies:
Stamps:  Wordsworth
Paper:  K&Co; Bazzill
Ink:  Black Brilliance; SU Bordering Bl
ue:
SU More Mustard; SU So Saffron; SU Mellow Moss; Versamark
Accessories: Brads, ribbon

The image on this second card was fished out of the garbage at my daughters insistence; she maintained that she like it better than the other……go figure.  This card was colored with chalks.  Note to self:  once you chalk over already heated, clear embossing powder, the chalk does not come off.

Supplies:
Stamps:  Wordword
Paper:  My Minds Eye; Bazzill
Inks:  Versamark,
Accessories:  Embossing Powder, ribbon, brads

OK–I would have pulled that one out of the garbage too! They are both nice–but I like the lighter one also. Not sure what it is about it–maybe that it looks more hopeful, like the verse–where the first one is darker in mood? But they are both lovely! Thanks for sharing them!ReplyCancel

I like them both, Becca! You did a wonderful job with the brayering too. That’s one of my favorite scriptures, a wonderful one to bring to mind when life tosses us to and fro! Thanks so much!ReplyCancel

Love them both, and receiving them would be an encouragement to anyone! You’ve inspired me to go try some brayer work…ReplyCancel

Sorry if I seem a little absent.  I thought I would be back on track by today, but life hasn’t afforded me any stamping time.  In the meantime I received a request for the details on how to make the gift card holder.  The gift card holder is adorable and I CASED it here

Have fun with them and please check back with me – I’ll have a card soon. :2
