Our family spent some special time together today and the stamp used in this card was on my mind.  This card is not my style, it is way simple but the stamps says everything I felt in my heart today.

Today is the last day of the kids spring break and we were up and out this morning early for doctor appointments.  Afterwards we were all able to sit down as a family for a fun lunch – all five of us.  It tickled my husbands heart, and guess what, everyone behaved.  We laughed our way through our meal – so today was a wonderful reprieve.  Make sure laughter is a part of your every day.

Okay, on to the card….well I finally broke open my package of Papertrey paper.  The stamp I used is shaped like a circle so it seemed obvious to me that I should cut a circle out of the middle of the Aqua Mist  panel and pop it up on pop dots.   I embellished the outside of the circle with one of the flourishes from the Sweet Love set and adhered it to a white panel that was then adhered to a Spring Moss card which I had already edged with a Fiskars scallop punch.  I tied on a short piece of Spring Moss ribbon and added a trio of paper flowers.   A heartfelt thanks to you for stopping by!

A quick card to share.  I wanted to pull together something to showcase the daisies on this Printworks stamp.

Pink and green seems to be my favorite color combination and it worked out well with the design paper as well.  I’m stuck on square cards and as with other recent cards, this one is 6×6. The daisies were colored with copics, a stamped sentiment added, for a quick and easy card.

Thank you for stopping by!

Supplies:
Stamps:  Stampendous, Printworks
Paper:  Bazzill, DP-?
Inks:  Old Olive
Accessories:  Copics, Michaels Ribbon, Dew Drops, Nestabilities

I wanted to participate in Beate’s Weekend Sketch Challenge which sports a very cool layout.  I did not make the deadline but I so love the layout and wanted to post it anyway.

I started out with the two stamped images and thought I might want to emboss them.  I found some textured embossing powder in my stash and found that it fit in nicely with the other elements I was using.  Each element was sponged with So Saffron, followed by a tiny bit of Purely Pomegranate then Creamy Caramel.  I nipped all of the panels with a cool corner punch I have – and it worked out nicely even with the beveled embossed edge that Nestabilities make.  I then cut two scalloped rectanges and used the SU Round Scallop Punch .  All the elements were mounted on top of my design paper and finished off with a wide piece of satin ribbon.

Thanks so much for looking!

Paper:  Bazzill, Sandy Lion
