Rounded Bottom Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken using Spellbinders Lunette Arched Borders and Spelbinders Tallulah Frill Layering Frame - for full supply list see ww.amazingpapergrace/?p=33306
Hi there friends, I’ve been creating like a mad woman!  This week I’ll start sharing pictures of 3D Vignettes with 12 Days of Inspiration here on the blog – I hope you’ll join me.  In the mean time, today I’m taking a teensy little break to share a card that has been waiting in the wings for a while.   Never having done a round bottom on a card, I think it’s really quite unique – looking forward to trying more.  I actually had to shave the bottom a tiny bit so that it would sit level instead of rolling over.   Lunette Arched Borders gives me the round bottom and I reached another Amazing Paper Grace dies – Tallulah Frill for the border at the top and for the embellishment of the sentiment panel :-)

The easiest way to get your card base is to cut an 8.5″x 11″ sheet in half so that you know have 5.5″x 8.5″.  Then diecut Lunette Borders onto the bottom of both panels.  Score one panel for a fold that is 1″ in and fold.  Lastly, trim the panels to be even at the top and adhere along the top.

I get the double borders on the rounded bottom  simply because I added a curved panel on top of my card base. Its a simple card, really and I like the look the repetition gives.

Always the best..!! The crafting world is so huge and yet so small. I met a lady today demoing at a stamp show. As she did her demo and we chatted, we found that the person who really inspired us to do paper crafting many years ago and who continued to greatly inspire us… well, no need to guess… it’s YOU! There was an immediate kinship with that one connection and it went on from there. Thanks for it all, Becca.ReplyCancel

2018 Sneak Peek by Becca Feeken using Spellbinders Sweetheart Swirl, Spellbinders Ringlet Round and Spellbinders Hemstitch Circles - for release details see www.amazingpapergrace.com/?p=33284
How about another sneak peek?  A tiny peek :-) ……………so there is a reason I’m working on ‘Romantic’, I love Romantic!  I love romantic enough that I centered an entire collection around a romantic feel.  In April of 2018 I’ll be introducing a collection called “Romancing the Swirl” to you.  It’s a collection of romantic calligraphic swirls and swashes with clean lines in dies.  This is my go to style.

It felt wonderful the get elbow deep in designing curls and swirls and connecting them to elements worthy of using in decoration and card making.  It will be a welcome addition to and matches very well with Amazing Paper Grace dies by Spellbinders Paper Arts.  The main die is called Sweetheart Swirl. It is embellished with Hemstitch Circles and the border is made from an element in Ringlet Round.  Shipping to retailers in April 2018, they will embellish what’s already in your stash :-)

2018 Sneak Peek by Becca Feeken using Spellbinders Sweetheart Swirl, Spellbinders Ringlet Round and Spellbinders Hemstitch Circles - for release details see www.amazingpapergrace.com/?p=33284
The collection of 12 romantic dies will be shown at AFCI in January 2018.  They are available through Spellbinders for pre-order by retailers.  I hope you’ll encourage a local retailer in your corner of the world to carry them.  In the interim, this spring you’ll get to see 11 more dies with a similar look and feel collection up close!!

The Details on Romancing the Swirl

What:  Romancing the Swirl Collection
Where:  Shipping to Retailers on 4/15/18
When:  On the Spellbinders Website on 5/15/18
Why:   Because you need it!!

So tickled to be able to share some of the sweet things I’ve been working on, moreover, I so I enjoy designing. But better than that, once I can cut it all out and finally show you what was on my mind, then I’m a happy girl.  My design foot print is classic.  I try to produce items that will stay in style for long, long time.  I hope you like!!

What an exciting time for you, dear Becca!
Based on the name alone, I knew I would love this collection. In calligraphy, flourishes are fun and fancy. No wonder all these swirls appeal to me so much. We won’t have these in time for Valentine’s Day but they’ll be great for summertime weddings…or just about anything else!
I think you were so clever to use part of the hemstitch rectangle to anchor that lovely top border and the vellum underneath. The bottom border of the vellum is so sweet, too.
Thank you so much for the sneak peek. I’m really excited about all your new dies!!!

Absolutely so perfect for ‘Our’ Special Valentine’s Day coming up! For you see, I met my sweet husband of almost fourteen years ago on February 14, in 2004 and we were married June 26th, 2004 :).

I still remember him standing there with a huge Sony floppy disk camera around his neck (Which was never used that day :)), the dozen chocolate roses. (He had told me he had hunted everywhere in the airport for Real roses and could only find the chocolate ones) and the first words I said to him *blushing* “Shut up and kiss me!”

My Hero did not arrive at SEA-TAC with a white Stallion or shiny armor like a knight, but rather in a borrowed vehicle with a silent air of being struck with awe like he could not believe that I was real (Let me tell you, I am no prize, except for the fact I have survived many traumas meant to destroy me and yet I say it is all God and not me. That and I have the heart the size of Texas even with being abused so many times.).

Even after all these years I still see him like the Angel of God that he was and can be. He has given me memories of such happiness and bliss that cannot compare to what I was forced to leave behind for my safety. He is a very humble bashful man and that endearing quality can sometimes be angelic or it can play the devil’s advocate pushing me beyond my own boundaries of comfort and stretching me, growing me to new things and in a good way.

    Thank you Darlin’ {{{hugz}}}

Here is to a Blessed New Year of Adventure to us all!ReplyCancel

Still waiting for our house to sell and mad at myself for packing all of my card making supplies. However, this card is worthy of digging through the boxes and finding those supplies in order to pass the time while it snows.

This card reminds me of Homecoming! The die-cut on top resembles a crown and the way you placed the ribbon cluster on the edge reminds me of a corsage. Very romantic! Love all of your new die cuts and card designs. Boy are you busy!

Valentines Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken using Lunette Arched Borders and Graceful Damask - see full supply list at www.amazingpapergrace.com/?p=33271
Today’s post is short and sweet with a simple card. I was simply hankering to make a romantic Valentines card, and so I played. This sweet tag has surfed in my scrap bin for quite a while and I always knew I would find a home for it. The tag and the background paper I run to often – they are made by my sweet friend Iralamija and the are so delicate and sweet. I reached for Graceful Damask and Lunette Arched Borders two of my favorite Amazing Paper Grace dies.
