Sneak Peek 3D Vignettes by Amazing Paper Grace available 1-15-18 to retailers through Spellbinders
How about a little sneak peek today?  Ok, how about a tiny sneak peek video :-) You have to see this in real life for 3D Vignettes to make sense.  A little preview HERE to tuck away for later :-)

I’m so tickled to finally, finally be sharing sneak peak of Amazing Paper Grace – 3D Vignettes, available through Spellbinders.  It was designed about a year ago and like a proud mama, I’ve watched all the steps as the packaging and samples were made and have bitten my lip with nervousness waiting for it to be born to the public.  3D Vignettes will be displayed at CHA and the lovely samples you see here today were made by Joanna Krogulec, one of the sweet ladies on my Creative Team.  This is a sneak peek, but in the next month, we’ll be showing you how the collection works.  This is definitely on of my favorite collection because it is soooooo different and a departure from what I normally do.  I hope you like it!!

As you know, I’m a die designer, but I buy dies too!  The 3D Vignette collection was made to all work together; you can collect the dies all at once or in stages.  Of course there is mix and match-ability across the entire collection.   The cornerstone of the collection are two dies that are meant to layer one over the other – they come in three themes – Love, Kids and Birthday.  The layering dies can be used alone (very budget friendly) or can be inlaid for inclusion in three “Grand” 3 Dimensional Card Shells (top of the line).  The Grand Cards can be used with other dies from the collection as well as many of the Spellbinders Die D-Lites.   Today I’m showing you some of the designs from the Love Theme.

The Details on 3D Vignettes

What:  3D Vignettes Collection
Where:  Shipping to Retailers on 1/15/18
When:  On the Spellbinders Website on 2/15/18
Why:   Because you don’t have dies like this yet, silly :-)
Who:  Amazing Paper Grace (Becca Feeken)

Please encourage your favorite and your local retail to stock this sweet collection.  That way you can plan your collection without having to hunt too far ;-)

HINT:  See the rest of the collection HERE.  You can put these in your Spellbinders Shopping Cart now or prompt them to notify you when they are in stock on the website.  As always, if I’ve inspired you, please click my affiliate links like this one ——-> Amazing Paper Grace Dies, before you buy.

Hi Becca, I don’t know if you every respond to these posts, but I was wondering if you would share where you get your fonts. The fonts in this post are absolutely gorgeous and great for a wedding card. When I look online, they have lots of fonts you can download for free. I don’t trust those sites not to give me a virus. I would rather pay for the fonts from somewhere legitimate. So, where did you get this font and what is the name of the font ?? Love this post so much – it’s gorgeous !

Happy New Year sweet friends, I’m popping in for a little enabling because there is a sale!!  You know me, I love to put together little gifts.  The easier the wrapping and decorating is, the better!  To ring in the New Year, I put some little gifts together and used one of my dies, Loopy Roll Flowers, to make Gift Topper Pom Poms for embellishment that can be put together quickly – they were much fun.  Add in some boxes with Mini Card/Booklet Gift Box or Giving Makes You Happy – Gift Box and some borders for embellishments with Swirls Strip Die, Classic Twirling Vines, and Botanical Box Inserts and I’m ready with three different gift arrangements!  Enjoy the tutorial!!  By the way I believe that every one of these dies is dramatically on sale today.

For gluing down the flat accents around the boxes my favorite thing is to use Ranger Glossy Accents sparingly.  Since it dries clear and quickly, that lets me add the trims with no fuss.  The pom poms were attached with hot glue.  The smallest is 1-1/2″ in diameter; the medium is 2-1/2″ in diameter and the large is 5″ in diameter.

Just so you know, I found these gift topper pom poms mildly addicting to make.  The large one almost felt like a chia pet, lol!!  Once I finished it was easy to distribute the loops on this one.  I simply twirled the straw between two palms and everything fell in place!

How to Make and Assemble Gift Topper Pom Poms

  1.  You will need the Loopy Roll Flowers, Die along with double sided tape and a paper straw.  Choose a wrapping paper – the flimsier, the better.

2.  Here are the steps you go through with each die cut.

(a) Firstly, cut with colored side face down.
(b) On wrong side (uncolored side) add double sided tape along one edge.
(c) Fold in half to glue wrong sides together.
(d) Add double sided tape along the bottom edge of folded die cut.

3.  Lay paper straw on exposed adhesive and roll until end is reached.  Add additional pieces until pom pom has desired fullness.

Pom Pom Sizing:

The small pom poms, use smaller loopy die.
For medium pom poms, use large loopy die.
For largest pom poms, use large loopy die however fold wrapping paper and seat fold within vertical cut lines.

Gift Box and Card Ensemble Tutorial by Becca Feeken using Bella Rose Lattice Layering Frame - see full supply list and step by step tutorial at www.amazingpapergrace.com/?p=33172
Hi there sweet peeps!  I had a lovely Christmas with my daughter and have another day or two with her before she returns.  I thought this would be a great time to show a project I made earlier that I haven’t shared here as well as some lovely inspiration from the Creative Team.  The project is a Gift Box and Card Ensemble using a folded Bella Rose Lattice Layering Frame.  I love using large templates and figuring out the ratio to turn them into boxes.  For this project I also used the Lunette Arched Borders set and specifically the lattice design from that set.  The cards are 3-1/2″ x 5″ each.

Putting Together the Gift Box Notecards:

1.  Cut small card 7″ tall by 5″ wide; score in half to make a 3-1/2″ x 5″ landscape card, round corners on bottom two corners.

2.  Cut/emboss Bella Rose Lattice Layering Die including the large oval die.

3.  Hand fold the Bella Rose die cut in half and glue to card base.

4.  Make a 1″ slit along the middle of the fold card base at the fold line.  Then punch a hole in the large loop on the bottom of the card and thread ribbon up through hole and down through slit.  Secure ribbon with tape.  Add a pre-tied bow to ribbon at bottom, center of card.

Assembling the Gift Box Bottom:

2.  With the 6-1/2″ edge at the top of a scoreboard, score at 4″ and 6″ then with the 7-1/2″ edge at the top of a scoreboard, score at 5″ and 7″

3.  Cut as shown, round corners and add ScorTape to right side flaps.
4.  Remove tape liners and lift right piece onto left flap to make one piece.  Fold right flap under then fold entire piece in center (wrong sides together) to engage the remaining flap.  Pop up box from flat to dimensional and close bottom tabs.

Constructing the Gift Box Top:

1.  Cut/emboss Bella Rose Lattice Layering Die, excluding the large oval die but including the arched inserts from Lunette Borders.

Tip:  Placing the arched pieces is easy if you use the large oval as a guide but then remove so as to not cut out the oval.

2.  Score 1-1/2″ from each edge turning 90 degrees for each score and as a result, that will give you a total of four score lines.

3.  Cut as shown above.

4.  Trim loops from each end as shown above.

5.  Flex all score lines, bend flaps around end of top and glue sparingly.

The project is not hard at all but I do recommend practicing the top with scrap card stock before making the final top.  I do this with all the models I work with and it makes it stress free :-)

Hey, don’t forget to share what you make on Instagram or Facebook if you live there.  I’m so tickled when you all tag me to show you’ve created something or remade one of my cards to send to a loved one.  I love instagram because it’s on my phone and I take it everywhere.  If you’re a hold out and want to learn how to get started, let me know if your comments.  I’m considering doing a series of posts :-)

Hi Becca. Lovely item as usual. You do the most amazing things with shapes, cuts and folds. That’s what caught my eye first time I saw something you created (the punched geometric folds for flowers or medallions). Anyway, yes, I would love instructions on using Instagram. I am not really a hold out, just old (lol) and learning isn’t as easy as it once was, so learning from you in your calm voice and manner would be so helpful. Thanks for asking. :-)ReplyCancel
