Don’t forget the "Tell Me ‘Bout the Good Ole Days" Blog Candy that goes until Friday evening – you can read about it HERE and be sure to leave your comment on my post on April 25th.
Hi there! I have fun little project to share with you today. It’s a project I created over on the Our Daily Bread Designs Blog, but I can show it here as well. When Kelley with Our Daily Bread Designs published the Scripture Collections this year I knew I wanted to do something with the entire collection. The collection all together is so inspiring so I thought to make a booket out of them. While shopping in the office supply store I came across some name badges and thought they would make perfect pages for a book. The more I thought about it, I envisioned a little booklet you could easily slide in your purse or carry in your car to pull out when you had a snippet of time. I dressed them up a little bit by putting a fun tag on them to make them seem like a kit that you would pull out if you had a certain need.
You can see here that 10 pages is a full load for this box. For more pages I’d have to make my box deeper or jump to a different container.
I kept these fairly simple with just bows on the boxes but on my next ones I see pearls and flowers and perhaps a belly band.
As I really got into putting these together I thought of all the uses – flash cards for a kid, pocket recipes for a girlfriend, a quote journal. I love it because it’s so small.
If you think that someone is tired of getting your cards I thought this would be an excellent change up and one they are likely to keep! The best thing is that the kit uses all the stamps in the Scripture Collection 3 and Scripture Collection 4 sets by Our Daily Bread Designs. Here are the steps I took and the supplies I used to make them (click on pictures to make them larger):
Hint: For this project I used Scripture Collection 3 and Scripture Collection 4 because they are the right size to fit within the pages of the booklet. Some of the extra verses come from Scripture Collection 1 and Scripture Collection 2. I also found out it was a wonderful use for scrap paper. For me, I have several sets of paper that I’ve purchased that are not considered current any more and this was a perfect use because as a set – all the papers match.
Here are the supplies I used:
Project Recipe: Stamps: Our Daily Bread Designs – Scripture Collections 3, 4 and select stamps from Scripture Collections 1, 2 Paper: Assorted Paper from my Scrap Bin, Memory Box – Provence on shown booklet Ink: Versafine Onyx Black and clear embossing powder Accessories: Assorted Martha Stewart Border and Corner Punches, ID Tag Holders, Ribbon, Jump Rings or Paper Clips, Spellbinders™ Labels Eleven (for lid of box), Spellbinders™ Tags Five |
Take care friends, I’ll be back soon!!
Ohh, awesome! Love the little box to hold them, too! :)
Becca, I LOVE this idea. I used to carry inspirational cards in my purse. When someone asked for my email, phone number, or address I would pull one out and use the back to write on. That way they got an inspirational message and my information. I’ve been thinking about what I wanted to make my mom and mother inlaw for Mother’s day…This is it! Thank you so much for a wonderful inspiration!
Becca,
These are too special for words. Might make a lovely mother’s day present. Eli

Thank you so much for sharing this idea. I love it!!! This is a great gift for alot of people; men, women and ages of a wide range. I can think of so many possibilities with this and I have never thought of using those tags for anything like this before.
God Bless
Remember bobby pins? Mom would wet her hair a little, sometimes with alcohol if she was in a hurry, and put bobby pins in it. Mine looks like it needs that now that I’m older too. Mirror, mirror on the wall, who’s the Mom now after all?
Awesome idea!I have a lot of scripture verses and can think of a lot of people I could give this too!!Can’t wait until you show us how to make the box!Thank you
Once again you have outdone yourself.
I think these could easily be adapted to scrapbooking as well. Some companies put out clear sleves that stack and have adhesive on the top so you can put multiple or a progression of pics in the space for one picture. I use them often, but I think your name tag ones could be used that way as well and look a little different. I especially like that there are two different directions that can be used.
meant “sleeves”.
Great idea Becca. Love that they have Scriptures on them. God bless!
Really nice idea. Would make such a sweet gift. Where do you come up with all these great ideas! Love your blog.
These are wonderful little treasures! thanks for the how-to’s and sharing your beautiful work.
Susan

What a great project!!!
Hi Becca,
I hope you are enjoying reading about the past, I know it has opened the flood gates of wonderful memories for me! How about being able to buy penney candy for a penny, heck even some of the candy was 3 for a penny. Plus there were lots of choices! The soda was only 15 cents and it was in a bottle! How about the smell of hotdogs cooking over charcol, yum! Some of you will remember wearing kleenex on your head to church…….
Becca I love your emergency mini. What a wonderful gift for someone you love. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for sharing this wonderful gift idea! I’ve already thought of several people that would love to receive one. I can’t wait for my stamp sets to arrive so that I can get started!
Hi Becca,
This is wonderful and has given me a great idea for my DH. Last year he had chemo for colon cancer and now we have found it has spread to his liver. He is waiting for an operation. He is such a positive person and I thought maybe I could make him a little gift with healing scripture in so he can keep it on him.
Thank you for the inspiration.
you have done such a super job on it. I love how it is presented in a little box.
Hugs marion
Becca:

The good old days were putting on swim suit with your friends after a good rain, splashing in the water on the way to find the END of the Rainbow :)

First off today’s project was wonderful–I love it and learned the use for somethhing new–THANKS.
When I was a kid I roller skated 3 times a week: on Thurs. nights, Saturday afternoon, then Saturday nights (until I started dating).
I was skinny as a rail, and no wonder, running and playing and skating all the time.
I started skating when I was 5—you learn quickly with skinned up knees. Ha
Hope you enjoy all our memories.
Would love to win—–Thanks, Tomi Jo
Becca ~ these are absolutely wonderful. I’m definitely going to make a few. thanks so much for the great idea, details and motivation!
I love the inspirational booklets! What a wonderful gift idea and a wonderful booklet to carry in your own purse! Thank you so much for sharing this idea. I can’t wait to try some on my own. Luckily, I have all of the ODBD Scripture stamps. This will be a great project!
More childhood memories: I remember having time to “play”. My grandchildren are so busy with scheduled activities they don’t seem to have time to play on their own. As children, we played for hours in our yard, pretending we were elves, or movie stars, or lost children, or something else. We fashioned houses among the trees. We had lots of fun playing in the hay in my friend’s barn and loved to look for wildflowers and wildlife in the woods. Life was more simple then and so much more enjoyable.
Becca, how beautiful your emergency boxes are I love the scriptures, the Be still and know that I am God is my favorite verse. Love all of them. this really touched me thanks for sharing.
Favorite old memories, my brother and me (he is 5 yrs younger) going to drive in movies with my parents dressed in our pj’s and being so excited to watch the movie but always falling asleep way before it was over, and being carried into the house by my father or some times they would let us sleep in the back of the station wagon that of course was parked in the garage..it was always special.
TYFS Becca, What a wonderful project. With the inspiring scriptures, theses would surely brighten the day for any one who needs a lift. Girl, you never cease to amaze. Blessings!
What an awesome project! TFS! :-)
Absolutely brilliant idea! I love it and am going to make some just like them to give as gifts, maybe even for my 25th anniversary “thank you’s”. Thank you for sharing your creativity and brilliance.
Fantastic idea, I’ll need to remember this when we have our ladies retreat. This would make a wonderful thank you gift for the women involved in the ministry!
Oh my gosh, Becc!! These are awesome little booklets! I LOVE your idea! Wonderful instructions. I am sure that many of your readers have run out to Office Depot already!
Awesome Becca! What a beautiful gift these would make for someone :0)
*hugs* Heather x

Becca, another beautiful project. Thanks for your ongoing inspiration.
I do have a question. How do you attach your bows to the cards if you are not actually tying them on? I’ve tried a couple different adhesives, but the bows just seem to pop back off.
if you’ve addressed this question before would you point me to the answers?
thanks, jean
Outstanding idea girl! Love it! May have to try it soon.
Beautiful project Becca! You always come up with great ideas:)
Wonderful project. The person who receives this would be so lucky to have you as a friend.

Hi Becca,
Thank you for leaving me such a generous comment…and right back at you! I have been a follower of your blog for a long time and absolutely love everything you do. Thanks for sharing your amazing work!
Yvonne.
Those are just so stinkin’ cute!
What a great idea for our hospital visitors to take to patients or home bound members. I will be working on this one and TFS. Do you remember home made ice cream…..once or twice when I was visiting on the farm we made home cranked ice cream…..peach was the very best…I can still taste it.
Absolutely beautiful!!!!!
Absolutely stunning Becca, these are perfect to give as gifts to family and special friends. Love the cardstock you’ve chosen for the boxes!
First of all I would LOVE to buy one of these from you. I hope you contact me and let me know how much it would be if that is possible. on to the memory. Playing hide and seek until way after dark while our parents sat on the porch and watched us. All of the neighbor kids would be in on it.
Becca,
What a wonderful gift. I just love the idea.
This is so cute! I love the box. It just finished off the perfect gift!
Great idea. You amaze me girl, so many ideas, so much talent, WOW!
OOPS, forgot a memory. We grew up in what was a “young” neighborhood at the time so there were a lot of kids. We played games outside almost every single night in the summer – – – kick the can, hide and seek, starlight moonlight hope to see the ghost to night, etc. We also played softball for hours and hours at a time. This was a time when kids were not overweight. We rode our bikes and played hard each and every day outside. We had so much fun and seemed to get along most of the time. It is fun to think about the simpler times.
I loved this idea so much that I went to the link for the stamps and bookmarked it until I can order them, but I forgot to leave a message on your blog!!! LOL So I am back today to thank you so much for sharing this wonderful idea and also how you go about making it!
Becca, you are brillant! I LOVE coming to your site in anticipation of what beautiful creation you will come up with next! I absoultely love these and am going to have to give it a try! I was just put as coordinator over our Care Ministry at church and these would make wonderful thank you gifts to the team members! Thank you again for sharing your God-given talent with us! May He bless you richly and return to you the blessings that you have given to others!
Oh, Becca, this is absolutely beautiful! This is such a great idea – perfect for gifts. I am going to have to try this. Becca, you are a truly gifted artist, a gift you have allowed God to blossom in your life. Thanks so much for sharing, not only for letting us scraplift your project, but mostly for encouraging us.
I feel so blessed after visiting your blog.
God Bless,
Mary

some office supplies are low quality that is why you should always check your store if they offer high quality products ~”~
