Bring Back Beautiful #3 – Beauty of a Gift

Greetings and welcome back to the Flourishes Bring Back Beautiful Challenge – this is challenge #3!  As we get closer to the season of giving, let’s take the wraps off your creativity to come up with beautiful ways to gift give. Do you have a fun template for a beautiful box?  Or, do you have a beautiful presentation for gift cards?  Show us what you’ve got!  Link up your Bringing Back Beautiful Challenge card here to enter. If you upload to SCS, please use the keyword BBB03. You have until October 30th to enter!  As we unveil our challenge for next month, we’ll share our True Beauties – those card makers who wowed us with this challenge! Winners will be featured on the Flourishes Blog and will receive a True Beauty blog button to display proudly on their blog!

For this challenge I wanted to make a container using the Spellbinders Grand Labels Four.  I thought that the bracket on the end would be an wonderful corner piece.  I had trouble deciding between a basket or a box, so I made a basket and included a lid for the best of both worlds.  I simply connected four of the Grand Labels Four, then added a liner inside and constructed a lid to fit on top.  I used Flourishes Christmas Music Background as the design paper for the project.  For each side of the basket, there is an accordian folded flower medallion that is seated on Spellbinders Big Scalloped Circles SM panel.   I finished off with a tag from Spellbinders Tags Five and the sentiment – Celebrate the Season.

The basket measures 8.5" tall including the handle, 4.5" tall for the base of the basket where goodies go and 6" wide from tip to tip of the Labels Four.

This gets filled with chocolate and off to one of my friends when we get closer to Christmas :-)

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Flourishes – Christmas Music Background
Paper:  Bazzill
Ink:  Vintage Photo Distress Ink, Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink
Accessories: Spellbinders™ Grand Labels Four, Spellbinders™ Big Scalloped Circles SM, Spellbinders Tags Five, Ribbon, Paper Studio Spare Parts Brads, Martha Stewart Scalloped Border Punch

I hope you’ll join in and create a card that Brings Back Beautiful.  Don’t forget to hop around and see the cards created by all the other Beauty Girls.
