Christmas Vintage Labels Seven

Christmas Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken Using JustRite Christmas Vintage Labels Seven and Spellbinders
Good morning sweet friends, we’re on a Christmas roll!  Thanks so much for your encouraging words yesterday about conquering the Christmas rush to get cards done.  I’m a hopeless “fly by the seat of your pants” planner at Christmas time, so what in the world will my family think when I’m ahead of the game this year?  Will wonders ever cease?  So today I’m popping in with a short post and a Christmas Card using JustRite Christmas Vintage Labels Seven.
Christmas Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken (Close Up)
I started out the a kraft card base and added a design paper panel matted with gold foil (Die Cuts With A View) and added May Arts Silk Ribbon across the bottom with a sash of velvet ribbon on top and the same velvet ribbon in the corner.  Then I added Spellbinders Majestic Squares (stenciled with Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink), then on top added Spellbinders Elegant Ovals in gold then on top added JustRite Vintage Labels Seven where I stamped the lovely holly motif and added a sentiment in the center.  To finish I popped a bow on top and decorated the bow with Spellbinders Holly Twigs and Leaves, a Bazzill Button and three gold pearls.  To finish up I painted my triple pearl pin with a red Spectrum Noir Marker for a pop of color.

Sorry, but I just don’t get it…. you have a beautiful deep rich looking card and then you plop that holly motif on that I just don’t think goes with your card at all !! But, that’s my opinion and usually rather then leave a negitive comment I would not say anything but this time I just couldn’t help myself !!
I love your cards Becca but this one…. not so much !!ReplyCancel

Love the layers – the velvet ribbon edging and really love that bow – wow! It’s reather humid and wet here today – not really in the C Card making mood yet – but I like to get the designs I will do and the buy the kit required so when the weather turns cooler and the festive mood hits me everything is ready to get on with it – so probably Sept/Oct before the doing mode kicks in – thanks for sharingReplyCancel

    Good evening Becca.
This is gorgeous and sumptuous but I think it would look even more beautiful if the holly was stamped in gold! It may of course be too much, and then I’ll think “Becca was right after all”!
Take care, thanks for the inspiration, I LOVE making Christmas cards.

    Good morning Becca,
Your family will enjoy the surprise Becca. Today’s card looks olde worlde until you get the bright hit you in the eyes pop of white and green main attraction.I prefer your olde world bits i must admit as they just say opulence to me from the colours to the bow, it is all very much in keeping with each other. THank you Becca for your inspiration once more,
    Love and crafty hugs

    Hi Becca,
I’m on a roll as they say but it’s a backward roll as I’ve gone from today’s card backwards!
Maybe it’s to do with being left handed or something!
Love today’s card too, except for the holly but that’s only a personal opinion!
I would love to be able to make such a masterpiece !
    God Bless,
