Well, it had to happen…I made a big goof and because so many people asked me about this card, I thought I would make the correction in its own post. Yes, it draws attention to my silly goof but I want to catch you before you get to a dead end, like Katherine. (By the way, if you left a question in the question parking lot on the post where I share these cards, the answer should be there for you).
Here’s what Katherine said:
Hi Becca,
Love all your cards….You always give great inspiration. I have a question that pertains to the Christmas cards you recently made using the Adorning Labels 25 and Labels 25 however you said you also used Classic Ovals Large. . . I found this to be much too small to fit the sentiments on them . . . could you have possibly used the Grand Ovals LF-110? I hope to hear back from you because I am stuck.
Thanks Becca for your help…
Katherine Hill
Here’s what I said:
gulp….
Well, it seems that when I wasn’t looking my Grand Oval #1 sneaked out and took up residence in the Classic Ovals LG Case and was posing as Classic Ovals LG #6. Had I been on my toes, I would have spotted the imposter immediately because there is no such thing as Classic Ovals LG #6. Even I had to click on the links to prove it to myself! (Dramatic music here) Say it isn’t so . . . Well the nerve of that poser!! I’ve ordered everyone back in their cases where they belong and I feel horrible! I’ve edited my post —–>https://www.amazingpapergrace.com/introducing-amazing-paper-grace-elegant-christmas-swirls/ so that you can see the changes and make a note of them.
Here’s the bottom line:
Instead of Spellbinders Classic Ovals LG, you will need Spellbinders Grand Ovals. Don’t have it? An alternative pairing is the oval from Spellbinders 5 x 7 Heirloom Legacy with Spellbinders Floral Ovals. So sorry for the goof :-)
Happy Friday sweet friends, you bless me so and I hope you have a glorious weekend!
We’ll by guess by golly that is the first one you made in the 4 years I’ve been watching. Not a bad record. We love you Becca – you are entitled!!

Becca, I had to laugh to myself – you just made my day! I know you felt terrible at the goof, but it was so heartening to me, to find that you (an expert) got the wrong die listed on this occasion. It happens to so many of us, and truly – it’s not that big of a deal I guess. Maybe I’m weird, but it’s encouraging to me, when I read that my guru-s have some of the same problems I do. I find it very helpful as well, when there’s a card mishap of some sort, to read about how it got ‘saved’. So when I post cards that I call ‘a wart’ if it didn’t turn out as I envisioned, because of one thing or another, I hope it’s encouraging to somebody just learning, to read what I did wrong, and then hopefully not make the same mistakes! It was intimidating to me (still is) when I see all the beautiful cards, so much talent, and I’m still struggling to do pretty, well made cards. It’s nice to know there’s still hope for ‘goof-ups like me’. TFS – and also thanks for making my day! Hugs & Blessings.
hahaha Becca you’re only human. Happens to me all the time, I must breed imposters. So now I’ve devised a system where I leave the cases out as I use the dies and they don’t get stored until each die goes into their own case. Sometimes it drives me mad that I cant find a die to go back but those cases stay out until they find all their relatives.
KEEP CALM AND IMPOSTING ON
Oh my goodness, Mary H! Like Jimmy Durante would say, “I got a million of ’em – hot-cha-cha-cha”. Lol, this is just the one you saw!
Lol Bridget, I have a system like that too, and these guys had me fooled! I’m on to them now!!
Well, you are fun! And clever! And helpful ! And humorous! And creative! And obviously very sweet . . . thanks for your inspiration and kindness!
Haha Becca , you did make me chuckle ,no real harm done though ,just makes you human likethe rest of us ,
Take Care
God Bless.

Yeah! You are only human after all! Everyone makes mistakes now & then. I will continue to follow you & your wonderful creations!
LOL Becca! We all make them! Like Mary H said, ‘It’s nice to know there’s still hope for ‘goof-ups like me’.
We love you! Hugs,
Sandy
Hahahahahahaha! I laughed so hard at the shenanigans of these oval miscreants :o)
And I know they are culpable because the exact same thing has happened to me! I don’t know how they did it. I only took my eyes off them for a few seconds whilst putting them away and gazing out of the window and – horror of horrors – they ended up with the wrong family.
Can you believe it? Well, of course you can.
That oval is a tricky customer, but it has been rumbled now and the WORLD knows!
Hugs

Becca, just be glad you don’t work in the operating room like I do. I don’t sweat the small stuff like this. The Lord has blessed you with so much talent and you use it well! Bless you, Lisa
Sooooooooooo glad you make mistakes….perfect people are already in Heaven! The rest of us children are still human…so we make mistakes!!!
God bless you, Becca!
You are awesome…and you could never be anything but awesome! Thank you for days and days and days of the most beautiful cards in all the land :-)
hahaha…ok, did this remind anybody else of that commercial where the little red head boy was in the family photo of the neighbors? The mom and dad was like why is “Johnny” in the “Smith’s” family photo.
Well I’ve just spent 2 days looking for my misplaced ebosser manual – it turned up tucked inside a magazine that I’d filed away! sooo annoying. Anyway your oval saga has got me thinking – a couple of years ago when Spellbinders bought out Matting Basics set A&B a demonnstrator from the UK called Julia Watts (a pal of Sue Wilson) recommended we marked the back of each die with an A or B as we’d never know which came from what set if they got muddled up! I did this witha permanent marker and the letters have prooved useful on numerous ocassions when using both sets at the same time. Soo.. was thinking will mark my plain oval dies similarly – e.g. LO – Large Ovals, GO Grand Ovals etc.etc that way I’ll always know which set each and every plain oval die belongs to – simples. Guess what I’ll be doing today!.
HA ha ha ha ha ha I love you Becca, and thanks god, that you also do mistakes like this, as it just makes you a human like the rest of us here, and then it´s suddenly not as bad, that we make mistakes, hen even you do too, and as long as it´s nothing worser than this, nothing has happened right? Cause we can all see it then, when we got to that part, and no harm is done.
So please hun don´t feel bad, we´ve all done this hundreds of times and no matter what, then I´m very sure, we all will again, even we know now ha ha ha.
Have a wonderful week-end and lots of fun, and have a good laugh about such a goof. as that´s what it´s for, I´m sure.
Hi Becca. Sorry that your ovals have been playing you up! It makes me feel better that even you make mistakes though : ) I must admit that I mark my dies with marker pen , it makes it much easier when putting them away. Have a great weekend. Take care.
Oops. sorry you made that mistake. But we are all human and we all make mistakes every day. But I must say I am glad to see that you can make mistakes when making your cards just like me. I have made so many that I can not even start to remember them all. However mine is far worse than yours it looks like, but the cards still turned out awesome. I or we forgive you I should say because any one who follows you knows what an awesome designer you are and I’m sure love all your cards. Have a great day!
This truly made me smile as I make goof’s all the time.
Dear Becca,
Good afternoon, I love you and remember “He who never made a mistake never made anything” xx
Becca, you are just precious! Actually, I’m so thankful you finally made a wee goof. We won’t worry about you until you get up to doing colossal egregious hideous blunders. Love you, Girl!!!
Becca, I am happy that you answered here, but I can’t connect with your parking lot an my question is still unanswered. The parking lot doesn’t open to add comments, wish it was in you heading to click an open.(HOW)
QUESTION” Your JustRite Vintage Filigree layers dies How do you separate the dies to get the four designs shown on the picture when there are only two dies.? A video would help explain how this done if you don’t want to answer here. I really wanted these dies, but this is a problem. I guess I could hand cut but I would rather use the die cut. Please, Please help with an explanation. thank you.
Good chuckle Becca…..we all make them, and I love the way you explained yours!!!! Funny and I need a smile right now, so, thank you!
Hugs,
Jan
Hi Becca. Loved your explanation but love these cards even more. I have just ordered the sentiment stamps so can’t wait to try and make these cards myself. They won’t look as good as yours though. Thanks for the continuing inspiration. xx
Dear Becca,
even your goof can’t take away from us your amazing gift of talent and at some point we all have a die that decides it is not happy in it’s own case it wants to try a new mat and case (a case of the mat is always blacker on the otherside) sorry couldn’t help the pun. A beautiful card whatever the dies chosen to make it.
Love and crafty hugs
Norah (glenochil, Scotland)
Hi Becca, I had to chuckle at your post today, when even ‘you’ can made a ‘goof’ it makes me feel a whole lot better, because I make ‘mistakes’ all the time haha. Great that you ‘enlightened’ us, thank you.
Enjoy the rest of your day.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
Beautiful card. I love how the patterned paper peek-a-boos out from the lattice background. As alway you handle things with grace. As far as the “goof” is concerned— in humor— perhaps you were just “making sure we were paying attention” :) I remember teachers in high school making comments to students…
