So I’m starting a series of the tools in my stash that are heroes – in other words, in my eyes they save the day :-) I’ve wanted to share this kind of information for a while because we all take it for granted that everyone has been around the craft block for a while and they know everything we know. I get emails of all kinds from beginners through advanced crafters who want to talk about technique and tools. I’m a bit of a tool junkie and I normally try several flavors of a tool before I know which one is good for me. All that to say, for some of you this video will be old hat, for some of you it will take the mystery out of something you’ve never tried. In my videos I’m trying to cover everyone and ask you to forgive me if it seems like I’m talking about something that is obvious. I’m trying to head off questions before they happen and I want to be sure to talk on the level of every crafter :-)
Here is the video:
When video taping, sometimes I can’t see what I’m doing or I’d have to put my big head in the way. After all the prep, lining up, telling how this always works – a dud. If you enjoy outtakes and wonder if things always go my way… this is only 11 seconds and struck me as ironically funny . . . I had to share.

Lastly, many of you wanted to see exactly how I put a card together. We’ll I filmed this one since the camera was out. It’s sped up many times over so that the yawning doesn’t overcome you. I’ve had many requests for this so hopefully you’ll see something in my workflow that works for you. Where I thought there might be questions, I try to volunteer the info and let you know what I’ve used.
Whoa, it’s been a video-tastic day! I’m working on more things for my lovely readers – you! Stay tuned!
Becca. I have one of those stamp alignment tools but always forget to use it. Thanks for reminding me how much easier it is to line things up with it. I’ll have to dig it out and use it. I enjoyed watching you make the card too.
Phyllis
Becca my dear,
I have finally made to be first on your blog. I really enjoyed seeing how your perfect stamping is created. A lot of time what I do is stamp first and then use my die to cut it out. I was. Happy to see just how you do it. Every tip you give is much appreciated.
Hugs

Great to see you assemble an awesome card. I was wondering where you get your 3M dbl sided tape in bulk and the pearl embellishments? Thanks
And I wasn’t first either. Oh we’ll GOD BLESS!!
Thanks. We always come away with something we didn’t think about. Thanks for sharing.
love, LOVE these Tutorials….Honest, very inspiring and I’m interested
in the order you have down…from bottom to top layer of the card.
In addition the extra embellishments are wonderful!

Thanks for the videos! I would LOVE one on how you mail bulky cards. I mean how to you make an envelope or box to send them. Thanks!
I appreciate all of these videos. I have always thought I didn’t really need the stamp alignment tool but I now see how much I need one and will be buying one next time I shop. I do not know how I managed without it.
I really appreciate your video showing how you assemble your cards. I never thought of putting adhesive only in the corners until I get everything lined up. I have bern crafting for years and sometimes layers go on perfectly and other times I have to pull them off and hope I don’t ruin my layer. This is a simple thing but something I just never thought about doing it. This video just made crafting easier for me.
Your outake video gives a glimpse of the effort you put into your videos.
I am looking forward to learning more from you. I would love to see you make various bows using your bow maker.
Thank you Becca!
Thank you so much for showing me how to use my Stamp-a-ma-jig. I’ve messed up so many projects, I stopped trying to use it, but watching your video makes me want to try it again. I can really relate to your outtake :). You are extremely talented and I appreciate you for sharing.
What a perfect way to end a lovely Sunday, by watching some Becca videos. Thanks for taking time to do these. I loved both of them, interesting to see how you placed your clear stamp to the side before alignment. Good idea. And I especially loved watching you assemble the card. Fascinating, and I’ll be watching each video you’re able to share with us. I don’t always have time to leave a comment, but I get an email notice when you post, so I ALWAYS check in to see what gorgeous-ness you have created that day. Hugs & hope your day was pleasant. God Bless
Becca – thanks for the tutorials- they are a great reminder on tools that can be used and we sometimes forget about owning- loved the blooper and your groan and the way you put your cards together is always an inspiration- thanks for sharing
Love these videos!!! Thank you so much for taking the time to make them. I love every single pearl of wisdom you can pass along. Your cards are the best there is out there and I can’t thank you enough for your generosity in sharing your art with us. You do make it look easy!! Thank you again for taking the time to do this!
Very nice! Always cool to see how-to videos.
Beautiful card, so nice to watch you make it.
Becca the tutorials are lovely.

Beautiful cards and love that your left handed as it looked so normal to me, being left handed too. I like that tool also. The fast card video was amazing.
Thanks so much for sharing how to align, and for mentioning what materials you used to build up your card. You do such beautiful work!
Your videos were outstanding. Next time slow down the card being put together a little as love to watch each detail closer. Can’t believe all the times you took some of it apart and then put it back together. Don’t think mine would have survived. Great job. Love your cards. Edna
I enjoyed both videos and I learned some good tips. What did you use the clear earring backs for when assembling the card. I replayed the video a few times but didn’t catch it. Your cards are beautiful!
I learned and enjoyed the video tutorials so much. Thanks a bunch, Becca.
Becca, thanks so much for your videos. I can not stamp without my stampa-ma-jig. I would mess up every time without that handy tool. Your cards are always so beautiful. Can’t wait for your next installment!! Hugs – Holly
Thank you so much Becca. I’m chomping at the bit for the tutu tutorial. I hope I haven’t missed it.
Hi Heather B (Comment #3)
I get my Scotch 3M tape from Office Depot, but only when they have a coupon. The roll is 38 yards and is normally about $36.00. The last time I had a 30% off coupon I picked up a roll. Can also be purchased from Uline. Either way, full price is much more economical than buying one small roll at a time.
I get my pearls from Hobby Lobby in the scrapbooking department when they are 50% off and sometimes you can get them at Michaels on the bling aisle.
Hi Amelia E (Comment #19)
I used the clear earring back on the sharp pin that I put in the flower. I’m always afraid that someone will poke themselves. It’s tiny and so it’s very hard to see on the video. I buy them by the pack at Michael’s in the jewelry department. One pack will last forever :-)
Sweet Calli (Comment #22)
No dear, you have not missed the tutu, it’s coming :-)
This was very informative and helpful! You are so talented. Thank you for sharing.
Awesome videos, Becca! Thanks!!!
WOW, thanks Becca for these informative videos and I read back on your answers, will be looking for the 3m tape at Home Depot. Thanks so much for all your beautiful work and for helping all us who love you and your work so much!
Absolutely gorgeous, thank you for sharing your work process. I am in awe of the process you use and the vision you have, Becca. All of the extras touches you add are fabulous, how in the world are you able to see so many possibilities with the dies and components? Wow! Also, you gave some great ideas for using the stampamajig ~ using wax paper is something I have never tried with mine and I definitely will give it a try. Looking forward to more installments, thank you!
I loved both of these video!
Two great tutorials Becca.. I loved both of them. It’s great seeing how you work and follow through..
thank you so much for sharing your process.

Becca, this is exactly what I needed right now. We are awaiting June 27 when my hubby will have very serious surgery to remove a tumor deep in the roof of his mouth. I have not been able to concentrate for long since we learned of this ahead of us, and yoru videos, of tools I have but may not use as well as I could fit the bill tonight to keep my attention for a short while. Thanks so much, for the lovely stamped messages I see on your cards every time I get a notice from you. You uplift me daily.
Velda
Thank you for sharing. I love your style, and will take a moment longer to get it right from now on. I have never used a stamp aligner but can see how useful it will be to invest in one. Great to see how easy it can be to utilise pieces of different die cuts so effectively. Looking forward to the next video.
Fabulous videos – thank you sooo much. Love the piano music during the one in which you assemble a card. A stamp alignment tool looks a good idea. I have trouble constructing things straight (such as matts) and perfect so I’ll try your sticking technique as it looks fool proof to me. I always look at a finished card I make thinking ‘that’s not straight’ – or ‘its not quite central’ etc.. – I know others dont see my errors as I do but if I could only get some of these basics spot on I think it would make all the difference to the end result. Either that or I have wonky eyes! Practice makes perfect I suppose but I want it perfect every time – your tips will be very helpful I think. Thank you.
After messing up a lot of card stock with “wishful” alignment, I, too, use an acrylic block and corner aligner. It is the only way to go to get perfect alignment instead of the crooked ones we sigh over and send anyway (because we have used nice paper). I like the video as it showed an alternative way of glueing down the card layers. I never thought of doing one end at a time. I also don’t know where to find the foam tape in bulk. The little sheets they sell with a few in a pack are expensive. Thank you so much for doing the videos for us, they were great! And the card is so beautiful to boot!
Thank you so much for sharing your video’s! They’re wonderfully helpful. Your creations are always amazing!!!!
Thank you, again, for sharing your wisdom. I will get out my thingamagigy and use it! Wax paper is perfect, I hated having to clean the small acrylic that comes with it. Yeah, wax paper. My eye balling is wonky 40% of the time and like Clare I send it anyway.
Thanks for that wonderful video Becca, I found lots of hints and tips I can use to aid my card making.
One question though – what were the earring backs used for please?
I should have read all the other comments first! I see you’ve already mentioned what you use the earring backs for ;)
I just watched your alignment video too – I use my ‘stamp positioner’ all the time and in fact just demonstrated it last month at my stamp club, I’m amazed at the people who didn’t know about it!
The wax paper idea is good but unfortunately the cost is rather prohibitive over here in the UK – you *can* buy it but it’s imported from the US and therefore becomes expensively precious. Luckily, I have a son living in Ca who brought me a couple of boxes last Christmas when he visited :)
From the top of my head to the bottom of my toes, I am so thankful for such a caring and sharing ciber friend. Oh my goodness, this is just wonderful. I can’t tell you how many times I have wished I knew all these little tips that make cardmaking so much easier. I don’t really have the money in our budget to go to crafting classes so I end up doing most everything the hard way. Thank you Becca, this is one gal who truly appreciates all you do for others and I know I am not the only one. God bless you sweetie, Denice
Many thanks for those videos. I will watch it again and again …
I never saw a positioning stamper.
I want to try your technique who’s how you adjust you paper and work the
Tape on without moving it.
Merci beaucoup!
Francine
So interesting and educational to see you put a card together Becca! Thank-you for fab tutorial. Nicola x
amazing Becca, ty so much for taking the time to make a video for us, I don’t own a stamp a ma jig yet, I have looked at it often and even had it in my cart a few times but then always seem to come across something I want or need more that is on sale for a fantastic price and I can’t afford both….the sale item always wins, obviously lol I have never seen it on sale and most of the time when I go to M’s it is sold out, The only craft store in my city carries it but they don’t offer coupons. Sooo I will get it one of these days…I’ve never seen one by any other company, maybe I should google that, thanks for the info.
I loved your blooper…lol that was too funny!! Your awesome!! big inky hugs
Thank you Becca. Very informative. , Can you fill us in at some time what you use for your green mat and whether you do and how you use those white lines effectively. I often wondered
What a stellar idea… craft tool heroes! Loved your video on the Stamp-a-ma-jig. I have a love affair going on with mine; I simply could not craft without it. Can wait to see what else you have up your sleeve. I thank my lucky stars that I bumped into you online some years ago. You’ve been a constant inspiration. Thanks for all you do.
Wow, wow and wow. What great ideas. I never get my paper placement on my cards even and I know that a dab of dotted adhesive will help me out a great deal. I love both video’s. Thank you so much for sharing. You are awesome!
Thanks for the very helpful videos. They’re very well done. I enjoyed the video of you putting the card together. Thanks for your wonderful inspiration.
WOW Becca, Thank You for the stamp video, I always wondered how you do that. Diane
Beautifully done, Becca! :) I will definitely pull out my stamp-a-ma-jig more often now. Thanks for the video. Not sure why I hadn’t thought of using it for sentiment stamps too! *V8 slap to the forehead*
Thanks for another awesome couple of videos Becca, you are such an inspiration, keep sharing :)
Hugs
Sue
OK, TRY FOUR HERE! :/
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVED watching you make this card Becca!!! You seem like you’ve got this ALL WORKED OUT in your head!!!! It takes me FOREVER to work out a card! I TRY to have a plan going in!
I agree with you on the Stamp-a-ma-jig!!! It’s a tool that is actually MUCH EASIER than one thinks to use! :) NEED to use mine more! I actually pulled mine out a few days back & have LEFT IT OUT to use it more! :)
Thank you for preparing the video that showed me how to use this tool. I have had once forever but could not figure out the benefit of having one. Now I do – thanks to you !
I cannot open your last 3 videos and don’t know why!
Wow!! Amazing!! Very interesting to watch how you put a card together! Was that 3M foam that you put under the flowers and bow? I’m still sitting here amazed at how you take die cuts and make them something else. Thank you sooooooo much.
Thanks for the videos. I also use my stampamajig often and learned the hard way after stamping sentiments or images off kilter. After all the years I have been making cards I love how you align the different layers then flip them upside down and secure one end at a time-BRILLANT. I get my layers aligned then pick up the top layer to apply the adhesive and never get it aligned properly again. Your method will save me alot of aggravation.
What a treat you had in store for us today! Not one, but two amazing videos and a great bonus ‘out-take’! Loved them, especially the last one where we get to see you creating a masterpiece.
As I’m in the UK and couldn’t source one, I made a stamp alignment tool out of Lego and another from Duplo several years ago – necessity being the mother of invention and all that! I haven’t tried making the master image on wax paper though. Thanks for the heads up on that. I shall be butchering my rather long roll and stamping several favourite images which I’ll then organise (i.e. throw in a box!) for future use.
Looking forward to more craft heroes and heroines.
Hugs
Anne (UK) x
Great videos as usual Becca!
Thanks for your videos, Becca. I continue to use the supplied acrylic piece with my stamp-a-ma-jig ’cause I apparently have GREAT difficulty cutting anything square plus I feel more secure with an inflexible piece for placement in the corner of the jig. I do sometimes wonder if the thickness of the acrylic may decrease accuracy of placement, a deflection or shadow of sorts…? Fabulous idea of fastening your layers first with light tape in the corners. That’s an eye-opener that’s going to be put into practice immediately, it will give me an opportunity to also square a wonky cut! I don’t often comment but wouldn’t miss your fantastic work…you have a brilliant and beautiful mind and a sharing heart – all so very much appreciated.
Thanks soooo very much for sharing these videos Becca. I truely enjoyed to watch them, and especially how you put the card together. I have a question for that one. You said you used the earring stoppers for your pins, which I´ve also thought of, but I´ve never been able to find them anywhere here, except from at the juweler, and there they´re soo expensive, that it´s completely out of the question, but I could see in the video, that you had a whole box of them, where have you found them?? I would really apreciate to know, where you get these from, as I have been looking everywhere here, with no luck, and I would really love to be able to use pins a lot more, but you´re always a bit afraid, that people will prick themself on the needle if you don´t cover the tip somehow, so please????
Have a wonderful day and thanks sooo much for sharing all your great tips here with us and your stunning work always.
Hi Becca,
Thank you so much for your wonderful videos! I was so glad that you reminded me of how to use the stamp positioner. I just got my out to use on my brother’s birthday card!
Your card making video really shows all of the special touches, layers, and beautiful embellishments you use on your gorgeous cards. You obviously care about the finished product and it shows on every single thing you make.
Thanks for sharing your considerable, phenomenal talents with us.
Hi Becca, You think of everything, it doesn’t matter if we know anything that you show us, it will just reinforce what we may already know, and the beginner will be so thankful, any help is greatly appreciated, and we all love you for all you do for us. Thank you, from the bottom of all our hearts.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
Hi Becca, Thanks for the videos.Always love to see how you create.Your music in the background was beautiful. It makes me think of a nice quiet spot by a lake.If only.lol Thanks again God bless
Two great videos…thanks, Becca! Loved watching you work ,by the way!
Becca,
For some reason I could not see the videos. I am sure they are great.
Vicky
WOW thank you for the tutorial. I so am going to get myself a Stamp-a-ma-jig! You make it look so easy.
Becca, thank you so much for sharing these tips. I tried the double cut, using the two dyes, and know see why that did.t work. This tecnique is sooo appreciated!
As one who loves lace and ruffles, I always look forward to what you have to share. And you truly touched my heart with your statement of loving Scripture, I too am a lover of The Word!
Again, thank you, God bless you, and keep it coming!
Love the videos, dear girl!! I’ll have to check at my Michael’s for the earring backs again. Every store seems to be a little different… I should know; I stop at every one I see as I’m driving along. Does he word “obsessed” ring a bell? Anyway, I also do miniatures (doll houses, room boxes, etc. in 1″ scale) and there are many pricey tools for squaring things up. I saw a YouTube where the lady used legos and I happened to have a few left from the grandkids visits. So that is what I use for my minis. I am going to try them out on my cards and see if they do the trick. Again, thanks for the videos, I need all the help I can get!! And your card is delightful and fresh!
I am always amazed at your talent! I have followed you for a long time even though I don’t leave comments. I think, how does she have time to read them all! To me it is a “high” moment when I see the “Feedblitz” in my email and am always anxious to see what you are up to. I LOVE tutorials! I have a stamp a ma jig and have never used it! Now I can’t wait for the oppertunity! I also loved seeing you put a card together. Wish we could really work that fast and had someone else to do all the cutting out!
Anyway, I recognized all of the things you used for the card except for the extra piece you added at the top of the oval and the feathery piece you put on both sides of the roses. I looked at the bottom of the tutorial to see if you listed as you ususally do the things you used but didn’t see any of that information. Please keep up the out of this world creativity coming you inspire us all! Sue
To Vicky Schmidt comment number 64 and Carol P comment 53 I too was not able to see Becca’s videos there was just a black rectangle where the video was suppose to be so I googled “Youtube” and typed in “Craft tool Heroes” and they came up, so I was able to watch them that way. I am disappointed they didn’t come up in my email because I have a file I keep all of Becca’s posts in and I don’t on Google but at least I was able to watch them! She is amazing!
Stunning Grace – what a pleasure to watch you construct one of your masterpieces – even at break neck speed! Now, you just need to show us how you make your stunning bows – they are the best ones out there, in my humble opinion. Thanks again… Hugs xx
Becca I am so glad that you are doing videos on how you make your cards. They are all so lovely!! I always wonder how you get some of the pieces that you frame with. Now I know that sometimes you are cutting them into smaller pieces, to get what you need. Thanks!!
Did not use my Stamp a ma jig because I did not know what it was for. I just acquired it with a grouping of stamping equipment. Now that I watched your video, I want to experiment with it. It looks fun. Thanks.
Yes, I have seen a variety of stamp positioners demoed over the years, but NEVER have I been able to understand how I might use one until now. Thank you so much. As much as we might think we know, there’s always that bit of uncertainty. Now I am getting perfectly placed images where before it was just dumb luck.
Becca you are amazing! Thank you so much for these videos. They are so helpful and they are fascinating to watch. I often look at your cards and think “How did she do that?”. Love to see the process and the tool heroes. Using wax paper with your Stamp-a-ma-jig. What a great idea! Thank you again.
I love your videos and have a question…what do you do to keep your paper from sticking to your spell binders? Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you.
Have a told you lately that I just love you? You are so generous with your talents and sending your lovely things out for all to enjoy. The videos are such a delight. Blessings to you always.
Thanks for the videos. I think I have 2 stamp positioners but have not used them because I forget how to use them! I was wondering what paper you used in the second example. It has a beautiful floral oval that you stamped the sentiment in a brown ink.
Loved the perfect border idea, I am going to try that one today. Thanks again for sharing your gifts.
Great videos! I really appreciated being shown how to use the stamp positioner. I loved how you let us see in Video 2 that like the rest of us, you too can have problems with placing ribbon on a card the first time. Not every thing goes perfect the first time around! Thank You.
Great instructions!! Thank you!
I just love your cards. They are all so stunning and beautiful. How do you make the fluffly bows?
