Hi there blog friends! You know when you have one of those days where every Murphys Law thing that can happen, does happen? Well, that would be my day, today. I had a tutorial almost completed, but it just wasn’t ready for prime time, lol! I’ll have to come back at it again or need to change something or perhaps just set it aside. No worries though, instead I thought I would show you a little project that I sent off for display at the Spellbinders booth. I love, love, love the new cut and tuck die templates – they will get a lot of use from me. Earlier this month I whipped up a little box and used three of the cut and tuck die layers to create a flower medallion. It makes a box, lickety split, it’s different and quite dramatic – I think.
The die template I used was Spellbinders™ S5-111 Angle Approach and the box is 4″ square by 1″ tall. Since I love dimension I think this is one that I’ll repeat often for little gifty situations.
That’s all for me today! I’m going to take a break, get a breath of fresh air and hit the reset button. ….because sometimes that’s what ‘cha gotta do :-)
I definitely need to see a tutorial on this. It is gorgeous!
Absolutely gorgeous. I love the new Spellbinders dies! Can’t wait until they’re available for purchase…
This is lovely Becca,
I am certain anyone receiving this with a little gift inside would spend more time admiring the box and its embellishment.
Hope you’re having a good day today and are coping with the pain.
Regards Linda
Oh Becca! It’s so beautiful! This is a gift in itself!
Do I detect a shade of purple? Perhaps more of a magenta. Lovely. I don’t understand the cut and tuck.
Your talent never ceases to amaze me, Becca! thanks for sharing it with us :)
Another great masterpiece, I love it.
this box sort of looks purple-or is it a pink-hope it’s another purple creation
When I saw the release video of this die I thought ‘They are getting their ideas from Becca’ you have been cutting and tucking Spellbinders for years. This is lovely and something us mere mortals can do.
Blessings Bernie
Enjoy your break Becca. You have success with your projects because you have talent for sure but success for the quality of your work ask a lot of work. You work very hard Becca and we see the proof each day.
It is a very nice project .
Bravo et merci beaucoup.
Francine.
Too cute! I love the dimension of the flower. Another winner!!
Beautiful box and flower on top. Pretty colors chosen. As always Becca, TFS!!! :-D
Oh Becca! These new dies are really changing the way we look at die cuts! This is really beautiful!
Hugs,
Beth P
GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!! Nobody does Spellbinders like you do Becca. I would venture to say that your blog postings contribute to more sales of Spellbinder dies then the CHA trade show does!!!! I bet you were a design engineer in some past life. What ever the case maybe, Spellbinders and Martha Stewart owe you big time!!!! Love all your art. Thanks for sharing your talent with us.
Oh and by the way, Guess who’s card was starring me in the face yesterday when I picked up my mail. Your’s truely. Bolder then bold on the back cover of February 2012 CARDS Magazine!!!! It was used in Spellbinders add for their new M-Bossabilities and your name is actually right under the card. It brought a huge smile to my face and I hope it did the same to your’s. Hugs,
Marcie
This gift topper is amazing! How do you make this look so different than the one on the Spellbinders website. I can’t tell what you did in addition to the standard tuck other than curling the edges back. I’d love to see you do a tutorial of this one!!!!!!!
Any chance you’ll do a tutorial for us on this tuck Spellbinders? Please, pretty please? You always make impossible things look easy for people like me. :)
Oh what an intriguing die template by Spellbinders! Love their innovation! You’ve done a spectacular job of making something marvelous with those dies!
Hope you become an outlaw today and break Murphy’s law! LOL!
Sweet! Love it!
How adorable!!!! And I bet it gets look at the most….you can help from wondering…”how she do that”!!!!
And probably publish again!!!
Take care and rest!!
Becca my jaw drops every time I see one of your creations. I would really like to see a tutorial on this one. Please!!!

I think these cut and tuck dies are genius! Can’t wait til I can own some of them!
I love what you have done with the new cut and tuck by Spellbinders.
Spellbinders is very fortunate to have you on their design team.
It is beautiful!
I love it and am excited to get my hands on one of the cut and fold dies. I have the ones that you cut by hand and tuck but this would be much easier. Well, I hope Murphy goes home and take his law with him. Tomorrow will be a better day!
Oh Becca you have done it again!! I really love this Cut and Tuck box. I really need a tutorial though. Hope you make one. God Bless you always Becca.
Wow! This is beautiful. I don’t know how you do it, but you just keep out-doing yourself one after another. Can’t wait to see how this is done!
Thanks for sharing all your beautiful designs.
I thought when I first saw the new cut and tuck die offerings from Spellbinders a couple of days ago…. oh boy, Becca is gonna have fun with those.. and you proved me right. Great box and beautiful topper!

Wonderful….. God bless….. Denice
Mojo’s gone! Yesterday I made a card that turned out “just ok”. I lied. Reviewed the card today, then junked it! Saw today’s blog with this beautiful cut and fold medallion. Watched the introduction of this die on Spellbinders site—I think I can do this! Is Mojo coming back???? I can see this medallion elegant in black and white, so I will be purchasing it. Thanx for the inspiration.
Beautiful box. . . what lovely work you do. . . . I just love your blog. Thank you for all your inspiration!
I have plastic templetes that I use to cut and tuck. I have to cut things out with a craft knife. The new templates will speed up the process quite a bit. Thank you Spellbinders! Becca = beautiful as always.
Bcca, your tuck & cut bow is beautiful. The purple card you show before that is wonderful too. I love all your creations. You need a rest so do it.
Vicky
Ate these news dies available for purchase. Absolutely fabulous. Your work is so special and inspirational.
VERY NICE Becca!!!! This will draw ALOT of eyes at CHA, I think!!!!!!!!! :) Don’t worry about the tute! We know you’re good!!!!! :)
I love these new dies!! I, too love to make 3-D things. Just beautiful, Becca!!!
WOW WOW WOW, So beautiful as always
Thanks For Shareing
Gorgeous – can’t wait to get hold of those cut/fold/tuck dies. I have done this sort of thing in the past – do you know of ‘Lace’ (accent on the ‘e’) work? It uses templates and a sharp knife and lots of patience ;)
Becca, your attention to every little detail is inspiring. Just as I am completing a card and before everything is set in place I always have another critical look and ask myself, “What would Becca do?” No kidding! Thanks again.
Hi Becca, as always your work is beautiful and love your box with the cut, fold and tuck, die template, it remindes me of brass Ornaire stencles where you used an exactor knife to cut the paper, then you folded it then tucked it in, it looked nice with double sided paper, you could not use too heavy a paper, the only thing different is the die does the cutting for you so much easier.
Keep up with the lovely cards.
Yvonne
Becca this is just gorgous. and would love to see a tutorial on it please.
Glad that you can hit the redial button and have a rest.
Hugs Trish.
Awesome Becca! Can’t wait to see the tutorial!
Soooo pretty! Please do a video.
Ter ;)
Gorgeous Bec What can I say all your work is beautiful.
Bless You..
Roula.
nice use of the die
DID IT AGAIN!!!!
I NEED to see a Tutorial…real soon.
God bless you,
Sorry to hear of your bummer day. That is a good idea though, take a rest. That is usually the best thing to do. I do hope the turorial was on this box top.
Great colors, and I love the depth of the medallion
Tomorrow will be a better day :)
This is fabulous.
I used to do cut and tuck the old way–with a metal stencil and a craft knife. This will be so much easier with the new Spellbinder dies. I love the way you shaped the medallion into a flower. It’s beautiful!!!
WOW! It’s so beautiful!
Becca, that is really stunning! it really grabs your attention and yet is easy to do. Some times less is more!
Wow Becca! That is fabulous! I’d love to see it in person to get the full effect. TFS
Love the box and topper.I was wondering in the future could
you please show a tutorial on how to set the back ground up
for display photo.Thanks Carolyn
Wow love it, love it, did I say I love it? Can’t wait for the tutorial.
Oh wow that is so neat, neat layering!
Funny…the stencils that make similar designs have been around so long…I’m surprised that these didn’t come along sooner. The dies make it so much easier than getting out the cutting blade. Can’t wait to get my hands on some. Your stunning projects get me doubly excited!!!
As others have said, this appears to be Lace taken to a higher level ….less time consuming than using a knife. I have always liked Lace and love these new Spellbinders. You have done a beautiful job of this box and topper Becca. I can see this in black and gold for someone special…or black and red for a Valentines gift would be nice too. I love the colours you have chosen for yours….almost purple LOL!
TFS
LOL Eileen
