Hello sweet friends! Truly, grace be with you . . . this is a stamp that has been sitting on the counter for some time. I’ve always thought this was a lovely wish and a sweet thing to say to someone, so I’m saying it to you all. I’m sharing a card with that sentiment today for Day of Giving Friday. I’ve just finished a deadline that I’ve been working on for some time so today finds me optimistically looking forward to the days to come. The days have been so full of ‘have to do’s’ that maybe, just maybe in the next week or two, I’ll be able to squeeze in a ‘want to do’. I hope you do that too! ‘Me’ time always makes you tick better.
So on to my card for today. This is a 5.5″ x 7.5″ layered card – I used Spellbinders Graceful Brackets for the petite scallops in the cream for a pop of color at the top of the card. Next I layered on Spellbinders Arched Swallowtail Pennants in cream – the largest one, cut in half. Next I layered on the second largest Arched Swallowtail Pennant (kraft colored) and then glued down Spellbinders Oval Ironwork (in pink) on top. Then lastly three layers of the third largest Arched Swallowtail Pennant. I split one of the cream Pennants in half vertically and spread so that I would get a mat layer and then I did the same thing horizontally for a mat layer. The last pennant (kraft colored) sits on top and is the place I put that lovely sentiment.
For new readers, every Friday it’s my pleasure to give away a card. The card goes to a randomly picked reader (worldwide) who leaves a comment in our conversation. Want to know more about Day of Giving, here’s a link to my FAQ’s just check out #11. You can check the list of winners HERE! For your comment: Tell me about a time you witnessed an inspiring act of kindness.

Lovely card Becca. Clever way to use layered tags. I love the sentiment. I am blessed by His grace each day. This card should be framed and displayed.mhugs.
Hello Becca,
This is a most glorious card today, thank you.
Now then, I’ve to tell you about the time I’ll never forget, I remember mam coming home from the shops before I went to school and she had brought me some chocolate sweets. It was when rationing was on after World War 2 and I still remember the taste.

Beautiful! I would love to win one of your Cards!
On Ash Wednesday I decided to follow a posting I read on Facebook and began puting an item a day in a box to take to Angel View. I got so into doing this that I had my closet cleaned and a box filled in three days! I then began filling a box with craft items that I haven’t used in a year. This is more difficult to do than giving away my clothes! The papers are so pretty and the tools are ones that I bought or I wouldn’t have them. It’s hard to be honest and admit that if I haven’t used it in the last year, I won’t be using it.
Just beautiful- love your classic bow– and the soft pretty colors here! I also love all of the texture you added. Blessings to you
Beautiful Card.

I have a Painting that just says, “Grace”. I have had to learn to give Grace to myself which is very hard for me to do, but it is so easy to give to others. I have come to find out that God can still use me no matter what my conditions are or finances, or even circumstances I am in.

For my time, it is all about the Crafts. If I am not able to craft I am in a foul mood and my depression returns in full effect. I am finding more Joy in Giving than Receiving because in the giving you end up receiving anyway :). These are the riches I store up.
Another beautiful card love to make this card, one of the dies I won in the UK give away but never received. Christine S.
Watching some of our young students take care of and calm a handicapped classmate when he became overwhelmed by his day. It was beautiful, heartwarming, and such a ray of joy and hope – and ended with all of the kids smiling. Love in the best way – thank God for our many blessings!!
I love the colors on this card. Thank you for using this stamp so we all can see it. My son has a heart for helping people in need and will give money or groceries to a family in need even when he does not have enough for his bills. He is always rewards with a thank you or smile. He and his wife work as a team in these decisions. And he then is rewarded in other areas of his life.
Beautiful card, love the bow, very elegant!!
Hi, Becca,
What a beautiful card! This is one that takes some time to savor because there is so much going on.
I know I witness acts of kindness many times a day, but the one that came immediately to mind is this: My office is next door to a vet and my window overlooks the parking lot. An older couple came with a dog but I noticed they were leaving without it. The woman was sitting in the car and I saw her husband approaching with the vet. The vet squatted next to the car to be at eye level and touched her in consolation. This is a busy, busy doctor and so taking this time with her really touched me.
No matter how busy you are, dear friend, you take the time to reach out to all of us. I feel touched by your grace and it is so appreciated.
Love and blessings, Sandy
Yet another stunning card to go to a very, very lucky winner. Act of kindness – helping a blind person cross the road – it happens a lot but I think it’s instinct rather than someone thinking they are being kind.
Good morning Becca, such a pretty card and the sentiment!!! Wow I remember when I was in Disney MGM Studios in the middle of a storm singing I’m singing in the rain!!! Only mad dogs and English women go out in the mid day Sun!! What fun I had that day!!!Oh happy times!!!
Becca you really make my day Bless you!!!
Have a good one!!!

What a lovely card, Becca. I love the new Oval Ironwork die! That’s certainly going on my “wish” list! You always inspire me :-D
I have seen so many wonderful acts of kindness, but especially touching to me was the wonderful acts of kindness many people showered upon me last December. People really reached out to me in my time of need and helped me through. I am so thankful to God for helping me in this real and wonderful way.
Sorry Becca I only got tell me about a time you. Acts of kindness so many!!!

Beautiful Card Becca!! Love the soft colors. I do see people doing random acts of kindness here and there, but the only one I can think of right now is when we went to get a coffee drink one morning, when it came time to pay they told us ours had been paid for by the car before us. Sweet!! So we paid it forward and paid for the car behind us. FUN!! Blessings to you. Ruthie
I love this one, Becca! It is beautiful, and easily distinguishable as a “Becca” card…LOL. You are so talented, and I am so glad I stumbled across your blog several years ago. I have never attempted to copy one of your beautiful creations, but always love to browse your site for inspiration.
This is a gorgeous card and I love the sentiment
Beautiful card Becca with a lovely sentiment!!!! I have had many acts of kindness shown to me since my husband slipped away to Heaven 4 months ago…difficult to name just one! The most impactful is by the people buying my house…they advanced me $100,000. in order for me to pay my buy-in to a non-profit continuing card residence.
A beautiful card. You seem to come up with so many wonderful cardmaking ideas. I have two acts of kindness that has always stuck with me. When I taught pre-k one of the little girls was very upset and could not stop crying. Her twin came over and offered her thumb for her sister to suck on. The second act of kindness was also in my pre-k class. We had a special needs child in our class and we said nothing to the other 21 children about him. The children have a good sense about situations. No matter if we were changing rooms, going out or a fire drill all 21 children from day one always made sure there was someone to help and care for him. It was so sweet.
LOVE TAG CARDS. GRAND JOB YOU HAVE DONE TOO. HAVE A BLESSED DAY
Just gorgeous! Can’t stop staring at this beautil card.
Grace be with you, too, dear Becca. Lovely card and lovely sentiment. This past Christmas I was a witness to an inspiring act of kindness while in the check-out line at a big box store. I was behind a mother pushing a cart. She had a toddler in the child seat and a young child that was hanging onto the front of the cart. Both children were past their nap time. There were groceries in the main cart. After the checker rang-up the contents of the cart, the mother started searching for her money to pay. The checker told the mother that her groceries had been paid for by the man who had checked out before her wishing her and her family a Merry Christmas. This mother could hardly speak and tears quickly ran down her cheeks. What a beautiful gesture this man made to help this family. I must remember to do the same.
So Beautiful Becca! Grace be unto you! God Bless and I see his grace and Love each day…. I have a home a job wonderful children and grandchildren I am truly Blessed!
I look forwards to your posts each week. love seeing how you have created something gorgeous. today is no different. i’m having a hard time remembering kindness that I have seen. I recognize when I see it I just don’t remember off hand. have a wonderful weekend.
Lovely card!
I went to a big sale recently at a stamp store that is about 90 minutes from my house. The store is closing and things were marked down to 50% off. I made my selections and paid, after putting a few back on the shelf that I knew I didn’t really need! A couple of days later, I was regretting putting a die back that I really liked. I emailed a friend who lives close to the store and asked her if she had a chance to swing by the store and see if the die was still available. She not only went and picked up the die for me, she stood in a long line to pay for it… for over an hour! And the die she got for me was the only item she was getting that day!
BECCA,
This is just so lovely, love how you used the swallowtail penants, the kraft and pink combination. Thanks for answering my note on Instagram. Haven’t had a chance to use your new dies yet but maybe this coming week. Having retired from public service job, I have seen so many inspiring acts of kindness I can’t even begin to name just one!! Have a great weekend and week ahead, My Friend!

Another beauty Becca! What a stunning card and I love the sentiment and stick pin. Of course the bow is another masterpiece!
When I fell and fractured several bones, my wonderful neighbor mowed my lawn every week, and as fall became winter and I was still not able to get around without a walker, he cleaned the snow off my driveway, walkway and porch all through the snowy season.
You’ve heard the saying, “I’d give you the coat off my back”? Well, 35 years ago, my now husband, actually did. One of the things that made me fall for him. He gave his really nice parka to a man who was down on his luck – right off his back!
Beautiful card, Becca!
I have a friend who makes ATC size cards, folded, with a $5 Starbucks inside. She decorates them with patriotic images and gives them to servicemen and women she sees at the airport. She travels by plane a couple times a month. She thanks them for their service and invites them to have coffee on her.
Absolutely perfect card! Your talent is amazing…
Stunning card and the sentiment is wonderful!
Hi Becca. Great card as always. I heard last year in the news off a RAK or random act of kindness where by someone left an Easter egg at the door of all in a village overnight. Not where I live but I thought that was a nice thing to do. The news is so full of not nice stuff that’s it’s great to hear a good news story. Happy weekend.
Hi Becca
Beautiful card as usual, I love the way you dress your cards so lovely x x x
A true Becca card its lovely !!!

to fix it.
I removed it the hair that is ! with tweezers the first time so last week when I arrived she had cream there for me , says a lot for my tweezer job I

Becca:
This one is truly another beauty! Love the colors, balance and all over feeling this card has. Thanks again for the inspiration, really appreciate your talent and sharing
Another lovely creation. TFS!
Love the delicate touches of pink and I’m still trying to make my ribbons as perfectly as you do!
My son has the largest heart. One time he had been visiting us, can’t remember if he was still in college or not. As he left I gave him $10. Just a little something for him for the coming week. He later told me he gave it to a homeless man on a corner as he went back to his apartment. This kid will give you the shirt off his back and has helped many over the years.
What a wonderful project. I love the cream and kraft. And then the pink just made it perfect! Thank you for sharing your talent in such beautiful examples!
What a beautiful sentiment for your lovely card today.
I’ve visited the US from the UK a few times in the last ten years or so. On my first visit I was attending a Red Hat Society convention in Wichita Falls, Texas when I became so ill with the ‘Texas Crud’ that I was taken into hospital there. The convention came to me in hospital, nearly everyone came to visit. After my stay in hospital a very special lady came to collect me from over 100 miles away and I stayed with her until I was passed as fit to fly. I had only known her a few days before this and her kindness to me in opening up her home and caring for me will stay with me forever. This card would be for her.

Hi Becca, May grace be with you too !! This card is so elegant, the colours are beautiful together, and your bow is to die for, I love it !!
I got my frame maker this week, so will need the border dies next, can’t wait !!
Lots of love from Patricia xx
I witness it every day when I see someone be kind to another person
You are such a treasure! May grace be with you too!
Not something I witnessed, but a story about my aunt when she was a little girl that confirmed my view of what a special person she was. My aunt was 6, it was her first sports day and she was a very good runner. As she neared the finishing tape well ahead of the other children, she turned, stopped dead in her tracks and then ran back to hold hands with the little girl who was bringing up the rear. They crossed the finishing line together :o) I lost her 2 years ago and I think of that story every time I think of her!

What a wonderful card here again Becca, it’s really beautiful.
An episode of random kindness, I can mention one, that really hit my heart, was a fellow crafter friend fron Norway, who made christnascards for all the elzers on a home in hef hometown, because she knew, that none of them had any relatives, who came by there, anf for easter she made eastercards and eggs for them too, and the joy we could see in all their eyes on the pictures were awesome. That was really a wonderful thibg to do, and she is doing it again this year.
Hi Becca,
saying hello a little late this week. This card is cute!
I received your new dies in the (happy) mail last week. They look so gorgeous, I can’t wait to make “me time” to get to play with them! Wow I do not know how I missed it, but I never saw your Vintage Elegance collection. They look stunning as well. Looks like I have to go shopping again ;)
My inspiring act of kindness has to be from my 9 yr old daughter this week.
We were out last Saturday & she happened to find a $20 note on the ground. As there was nobody about who may be able to claim it I told her she may keep it. She asked me if she was able to do whatever she wanted with it or spend it on whatever she wished. I told her that was ok. (I always tried to teach my kids with birthday money etc to spend a little & save the rest).
In Australia during Lent season we get little money boxes from church (project compassion) to donate money from sacrifices we have made during easter Lent season eg:place money in box for that cup of coffee we gave up.
My inspiring act of kindness was when I saw her place the whole amount when we got home into the money box. Her words were, “I do not need to buy anything & I have enough things I want. Somebody else needs this more than me!”
I have to say it melted my heart! Being a parent in this day & age can test you, but at least I now know I have done something right!
Have a lovely week x
Love your card Becca! I’ve always loved the verses you choose on your cards. The layering is inspirational. I had a young couple in front of me at Starbucks pay for whatever I wanted to order. I walked into the coffee shop to get a coffee and splurge on that as I was feeling a little down that morning. What a sweet unexpected gesture and something that I’ll always remember.
I can’t help to say …and also with you. The Catholic upbringing I guess!
Hi Becca. Beautiful card in gold and white and stunning bow.
Sorry for your recent loss xx
I love this card. Simple but elegant. Thank you for sharing this gorgeous card Becca.
Bobbie
you are a gifted genius Becca <3
I was wondering if you have a video on how you make your beautiful bows. Thank you so much , Trish xxx
