Good morning friends. I’m so tickled to be back for Day of Giving Friday with a new card! I’m a little late with my post today, but I have delightful company at my house and I hope you’ll forgive that each morning we are sitting on the porch in our pajamas lingering over our coffee – loving every minute of fall. I brought my Mother back with me and there’s lots of catching up going on – a true blessing at a good time for both of us.
In going through my bin of cards I discovered a card I had not shown before and the sentiment is so positive and so, so appropriate. I hope you won’t mind, but there are not many specifics to give on the supplies used other than the paper is Graphic45 and the sweet flourish over top of the ladies is Spellbinders Corners & Accents One (an embellishing die that never fails me :-)). That stunning sentiment is one from a Tim Holtz collection.
Since today is Day of Giving Friday, you can win this card by leaving a comment. If you are new to my blog – you can find out more about Day of Giving on my FAQ List at #11.
For your comment today, what’s a lovely memory or cherished routine you associate with fall? For me, the sky seems bluer and the air seems so crisp and full of hope. I love those first fleeting signs that the seasons have changed – a walk in the morning chill is a cherished routine and makes me appreciate the beauty in changing seasons. How about you?

Paper: Neenah Classic Crest (Natural White) 80lb Smooth, Graphic45, Coredinations

Sorry to have missed your last few posts, they are all stunning, so beautiful as always. Love this one too and my memory of fall was as a child walking through the leaves on my way to school, I have always loved Autumn, its my favourite season of the year, love all the changing colours, so beautiful.
I hope this finds you well
Love & hugs

For me it is the memories of going to the woods with my father and cutting wood for our fireplace for the winter. Seeing the beautiful changing of the leaves and smelling the wonderful smell of fall and pine leaves. My father is gone however; just the smells alone bring him back.
thanks for sharing.
I have so many Memories but the one that means the most is Family when we all get together each bring a dish for dinner and have love Laughs and memories. this time is hard Because my Dad and Brother have passed so its much harder. thanks have a Great Thanksgiving.
This is a stunning card!
When I was little, I woukd run around our neighborhood collecting the different colored leaves in the fall. As I’d collect them, I’d put them in a bread bag my mom had ready for me. When I had one full, I’d bring it home and rub my fingers through the leaves and look at all tge colors
love the g45 paper. what you have done with it is amazing. for me I love to see kids or animals playing in the pile of leaves. brings back so many wonderful times.
Such beautiful cards. I remember as a kid laying out in the leaf pile and watching the leaves come down and just like we do in winter made with snow we would make a leaf angel in the fall leaves
Fall! Every year, since three years ago, smell the same memories of my sweet lovely mother gathering all that she needed for thanksgiving dinner and christmas gift for the family. I missed her a lot.
On my way home from work each day, I find one beautifully colored leaf that has fallen to the ground. I pause long enough to take in each of the colors on the leaf. I love earth tones and the colors of the leaves in the autumn feel my heart with joy!
Hi Becca, I have not been on your blog for a long time as we have sold our villa here in Spain and have rented an apartment nearby .the disadvantage is that we no longer have Internet and so have been out of touch.
I got a shock this morning when I read about your brother Ben having passed on,my sincere condolences Becca and also for the rest of the family.
My heart goes out to your mother as it must be devastating to loose one of your children. Please Becca give her a big hug from me and I shall have you all in my prayers tonight. Bless you all.
Now about your last few cards ,they are gorgeous and the sentiment on today’s card is very appropriate!
How nice that your mother is staying with you and you are enjoying this important time together.
At the moment we are staying in a hotel in Benidorm as I had to see the cardiologist for a half yearly checkup, all is well and I can catchup with my mails and blogs.
Leaving Sunday ,I will have to find an Internet cafe near where we now live to keep in touch with everyone.
Take care Becca, big hug ,love Jane B. From Spain
Been a long time since I’ve posted due to a Terrible fall I had Oct 11th. Since suffering with horrible pain

Have a wonderful time with your mother and enjoy precious time together.
What a pretty card!
My favourite autumn memories are of the times we took our children back to Jesus College, Cambridge where the grounds have many, many huge Horse Chestnut trees and where we were blessed to be able to park under the beautiful falling leaves. As the students were not too interested in collecting them, the children had the pick of the huge glossy brown conkers, bursting from their prickly cases. The look on their faces as they found scores of ‘treasures’ was priceless.

LOVELY CARD TODAY, Becca!!! You are TRULY BLESSED to have your mother there with you! ;)ENJOY!!!! My cherished memory is our wedding anniversary & celebrating our love for each other. That is the thing about the fall season that makes me happy! I am SO BLESSED to have my man at my side every day!!!! ;) (We just celebrated our 29th Wedding Anniversary.)
Although I did not intend it to become a ritual, it seems to have evolved into that. Each year I gather a batch of those beautiful leaves and attempt to preserve them. Have tried countless methods and recipes and they seem to last just as long as non-treated leaves. But just the process of trying is therapeutic! Tell your mom she should be very proud of herself for producing such a talented and loving daughter (and rest of the family, I’m sure….)
As Keats said the season of mists and mellow fruitfulness. I do love autumn. The light changes and seems to illuminate those late flowers. And the Fruit. Orchards, lovely tasty apples, pear’s and Black berry hunting. And then apple and BlackBerry pie. Mmmmm….
Fab card as always. I can spot graphic 45 from ten paces! It is lovely. Have fun with your mum.
WAUW what a beautiful card here again today Becca. I just love these beautiful colors you´ve used for it, and I have also been missing your gorgeous bows, so I´m so glad to see one here today.
I love the wonderful colors of the fall season, and as a child, I grew up in my countys biggest wood, and every year we make a family trip back to it, to collect great stuff for all our decorations here every year, and I just absolutely LOVE that week-end each year, and I also LOVE, that all my lovely granddaughters seems to apreciate it just as much as I do, and always starts asking for when it´ll be this year, as soon as the leaves begins to change colors.
Taking my mom for a drive down to Brown County to see the leaves changing color. We lived all our lives, until 10 years ago, where the leaves were green all year… no color change at all. I love the fall with the beautiful colors, and even the winter with the snow! If you’ve never had it, it’s nice to be able to experience the changing seasons.
Raking leaves into a pile, then watching my kids and now grandkids jump into the pile!
I live in California. While the calendar says fall, the weather is in the 90’s. Nonetheless, I’m wishing it into fall with comfort foods like chicken and dumplings and pumkin pie. I meant to say pumpkin “pies”. Wouldn’t want to lie?. Happy Fall to all!
Lovely cards, can never go wrong with graphic 45….so sweet of you hanging out in your pjs with momma…make many more memories …my fav is the yr my husband took our daughter n son for something in town, while they were gone I dressed as scrowcrow sitting in a lawn chair and had other items around me, they loved it all and came right away to the display I had done, I let them mess around in leafs and etc, then I got up, holy cow they ran away so fast…thanks for always sharing your cards with us…bless you…..
This card is absolutely gorgeous and what a keepsake it would be to frame. All the layers of goodness is perfection! I’m in such awe of your creations.
Hi Becca
So glad to hear your Mom is spending some time with you. How lucky you are to both have each other. I too would love to sit on your porch in pjs and drink coffee with you. Someday I am going to surprise you and stop in to meet you!!!
Another beautiful creation which I would love to call my own. Have a blessed Thanksgiving!!

Love the vintage look.
The colors are so soft and restful.
thanks for sharing.
Oh Becca!!! This is absolutely beautiful!! The colors are lovely, the print is adorable and the work you put in this!!! Just love it!!!
Hi Becca & hello Becca’s mom!
The card is so lovely. I love all your layers, the visual texture it gives is wonderful. I’ve got to really try to do more of that on my cards.
The fall leaves and all their color is a good memory for me ( grew up mostly in Massachusetts) but even better… I love the crunch beneath my feet, still do! Oh and I can’t forget the clothes! Sweaters, boots, hats…. oh my!!! what a wonderful time of year.
HUGSVEE
Every Fall, my beloved father would call at the beginning of school (I am a teacher) and wish me a special “Have a great first day and a wonderful year”. It made a world of difference and set the perfect tone for a new academic year. Each year now, I take special time to remember and relive those calls. It carries me through and let’s me have some sweet time thinking of a great , loving man.
Hi Bacca. Such a beautiful card and I love the sentiment.
So glad you have your Mum with you, I’m sure there will be lots of happy memories, laughter and tears shared between you at this time. Have a lovely weekend. Hugs xxx
Oops – sorry that should say Hi Becca!! xxx
Hello Becca. Firstly, please accept my sincere condolences on the loss of Ben. My heart goes out to you and your family. I have been away quite a lot over the last two months and so was very saddened to hear the tragic news. It’s so lovely that you have your mom with you to share some precious time together – cherish and enjoy your time in each other’s company. As for today’s card, it is absolutely gorgeous! Take care of yourself Becca. Love Doreen R from Bournemouth UK
Believe it or not, it’s Black Friday… but not like we have now. We never even called it Black Friday, we called it ‘the day after Thanksgiving’! Every year my mom and I would drive about 40 minutes to where she grew up and we would pick up my Godmother. We would head over to a local department store where they had Santa and photos, Christmas music, and hot cocoa. After shopping, you would bring your receipt to the service desk, and pick a tag out of the fish bowl. Each tag had a percentage that you would get back in cash on the spot! Most were from 10% to 20%, but they did have higher ones, evan a 100% one, which my Godmother got once! After that, we went to lunch at a local landmark restaurant, and then visited my Grandma, who was physically unable to go out shopping like that. My Godmother and Grandma are long gone, and boy do I miss them!
Lovely card and sentiment. Where did the image come from?
Another gorgeous card! For me fall is the time to get to cook in the oven again. And fill the house with the aroma of roasts and cookies and pumpkin bread. Love to hear the crunch of the beautiful leaves as we go on walks. Enjoy those porch chats and sips, Becca.
Becca, Hugs to your mother from me. Sympathy to all of you for the rising into Heaven of Bruce.
Thank for the beauty of your cards.
Beautiful card. Love all the dies, pearls and bow.
FOr me, it’s the first colors in the leaves that make me feel it is truly fall! Love traveling to Gatlinburg and seeing all the trees. I love the changing of the seasons, but going from summer to fall isn’t of my favorites!
Love your card today. It’s so quaint and elegant!
Hugs, Pat
Hi Becca…enjoy this precious time with your Mom. I love this beautiful card with that lovely sentiment! I think that my absolute favorite tradition in fall is having my grandchildren over on the day before Thanksgiving to help me prepare some of the food. Among other things they love to tear up all the bread for the stuffing and mix it with all of the other ingredients. I’m blessed with three beautiful grandchildren!
Hi Becca, how true the words are on this beautiful card.
A lovely memory of the season is being brought up in a village in Wiltshire where you learn to appreciate the great outdoors, picking sloe berries for mum to make sloe gin, collecting fallen leaves, conkers and beech nuts for school projects. Happy days. xx
So exquisite and detailed. Very pretty!
I love shuffling through the leaves! I do it every chance I get. My dog is not such a fan:)
Morning Becca and how wonderful that you were able to bring your Mother home with you, Enjoy the morning coffee on the verandah with your pyjamas and your Mum, you never know how long you have her for.
My best memory of fall is when we travelled to America and saw all the lovely fall colours, We do not have a lot of Fall here in Queensland. too tropical for that.
Hugs Trish.
Becca, this card is so beautiful. Enjoy this time with your mom and hope your weekend is filled with special blessings.
Beautiful card Becca, and I love the image you have framed :-).
We do not have Thanksgiving or halloween to associate with Autumn, but I must say I do appreciate the cooler temperatures, rain if we have had a drought, and the colour of the leaves.
Blessings
Maxine
What a beautiful card. I love everything about it. I love to see the season change. Fall is the most colorful and beautiful season. I also love to take fall pictures with our kids.
God bless,
PeggyA
Hiking, hiking, hiking…I remember always hiking during the beautiful season of fall with the leaves changing…we still are hiking, hiking, hiking!
Beautiful Card, Beautiful sentiment!
Lovely card, Becca, and such a timely sentiment. G45 usually shouts out to me; I can see it from miles away. You are so blessed to have your mama with you, especially at this time. Please savor every moment and each sip of coffee.
The piles and piles of leaves to jump in is my favorite memory of fall. Now in NH we sit on the porch and watch the leaves turn color. The leaf peepers (people who drive very slowly along our highways watching the leaves turn)are now a tradition as well.
Enjoy your mother’s visit and enjoy memory lane. Again, such talent.
Happy Thanksgiving.
beautiful card! I love the cooler temps, but not cold, lol and the color of the leaves.
I love watching the trees change colors.
I love everything about this card and the saying is so sweet and true. My fond memories of fall is the time I spend with my children and dog running and rolling in the leaves after we raked them into a big pile. What fun days they were.
Fall for me brings the celebration of our garden harvest and seeing all the jars of canning on my shelves. It is also knowing we will be able to enjoy all the carefully preserved food during the winter.
Fall is the change in color of the leaves. I love walking in the woods this time of the leaves and can’t resist picking up the beautiful fallen leaves. Christine
For me, it’s always that first homemade apple pie. Yum, yum!
Carol b
this is such a beautiful card, Becca. and the sentiment is divine.
a cherished memory is taking pictures of my kids in a pile of leaves and later enclosing it in a Christmas card.
When my son was a little guy, we went on walks as Fall began to show its face. We collected acorns and changing leaves for pretty displays. As he grew older, he chose two acorns, one for each of us. He put one in his pocket to think of me and gave me the other to think of him (as if I ever stopped!). He is in college now, and we text a lot, but I miss those sweet little tokens!
Gorgeous card! For me fall means the upcoming holidays, rides in the woods with my family drinking hot cocoa and eating snickers that we left on top of cocoa that is melting all over my hands.
How wonderful that you brought you mother home with you. This is such a difficult time for both of you, but it can be a joyful time as you share wonderful memories of your dear brother. Enjoy your time together. Your card is beautiful. I love the sentiment, and it is so appropriate.
One of my favorite fall memories is my grandma making persimmon pudding. These are persimmons you get in the woods and you have to wait until after the first frost. If you pick them off the tree, they’ll pucker your mouth, but if you pick them up right after they’ve fallen off the tree they are yummy and make the most wonderful pudding. It isn’t really pudding consistency, it’s more like pumpkin pie, but a little more dense. With a dollop of whipped cream – mmmmm!
What a lovely card! And the sentiment is so appropriate. You’ve showcased it beautifully here.
My cherished routine in fall is to take a vacation at Elkins Resort on Priest Lake in northern Idaho. We go every October. The dogs run around like nuts down at the water and romp through the leaves on the trails. The air is crisp, the sky so blue it hurts your eyes! I’d better stop, or I’ll keep writing about the wonderful times we’ve had year after year.
Hello Becca and Mum ,
So happy that you are having P.J. Time together just what the doctor ordered !
I love the card and the words are so right for this week I have missed your bows they are so special .
We have Autumn here in Tassie we have the native gum trees that do not shed
all their leaves but have lots of trees from the Northern hemisphere that we love that makes our Autumn special. The hawthorn is one of them our hawthorn has just woke up from winter has had its new leaves ,flowers and now turning to berries reminds me of the village in U.K. were I was born . Love Pam XXXXX
How lucky are we to have our mothers with us. I love my mother to the ends of the earth, I wish I could be with her to share each morning cup of coffee, but she is very happy at her home and I cherish the time we do get to spend together.
I would love to send this card to her it says so much
Wow! Such a stunning card Becca! Love the image and sentiment!!
I always think of my sister and I jumping in the big piles of leaves. Now I watch my kids do the same thing! And I love it!!
A cherished memory in fall for me is one from my adulthood. I was invited to attend a Brunswick Stew cooking at my brother-in-law’s parent’s home. They made one day, a year, of cooking their Brunswick Stew. It was a very “cool” day in the fall under century old red oak trees in the yard where an enormous black iron pot was set up for cooking the stew. This black pot at one time had been used for “cooking” laundry! No regular spoon would do for stirring the stew due to the depth and width of the pot. We used a wooden “boat” paddle. Hot hickory wood coals were ready to heat the pot from underneath. Precooked beef, chicken, pork, tomatoes, butter beans, potatoes, onions, creamed corn, meat stock and a few spices when into the pot. Stir, stir, stir. We all got to stir. Reminded me of witches hovering around a black pot on Halloween! The warmth of the fire was comforting on this fall day. At last, the stew was done. It was time to taste Ms Margaret’s recipe. Each of us was given one dinner spoon for one dip of this mix-mash of bubbling goodness. The instruction was to “take care of your spoon”. Well, I was not turning in my spoon to be washed for I wanted more of this red stew! So, later when the spoons were being retrieved, I pulled my spoon out from my pant’s pocket. You see, I was taking care of my spoon! Everyone got a hardy laugh from my act of caring for my spoon. I guess no one had ever done that before. A sweet memory. Becca, your card is lovely. The sentiment is so priceless. Amen. Thanks for sharing.
I love the fall. Great sleeping weather!!! But, the thing I look forward to are the Holidays. This is one of my favorite things, when the whole family gets together. We host Thanksgiving and Christmas every year, and I love it. I love to cook and love having the entire family together under one roof!! This year, we will only be having 15-17 family members at Thanksgiving. Usually we have more. Not sure how many will be joining this year at Christmas. Flying is getting a little scarry these days.
I love your card Becca. This is one of my favorite G45 collections. So beautiful.
Marcie
Becca, as always the card is just lovely. My favorite time of year is fall. I think I get this from my dear mother. We lived in So Ca while I grew up. She grew up in Wisconsin. They have 4 seasons there! She always said fall was the best! Here in AR fall is great, no longer hot and no cold yet. We have lots of colors to see when the leaves change. We always go driving to have a better look, but have so much just in our back yard. The Lord has blessed us all! Blessings, Lisa
How wonderful to be able to share this special time with your Mom.Enjoy!
What a lovely card! For me it the changing colors of the trees, the cold crisp air that remind me that winter is right around the corner. I love winter and snow!! Loves to you Becca
My memory is of my dad taking my cousins ice skating on Thanksgiving after dinner. I wasn’t very good at skating so he used to push me around therink. He died when I was 9 but not a year goes by no matter where I am, I remember him. I still don’t skate very well.
I’m so sorry I didn’t realize Ben had passed. I am praying for you and your family. I’m truly sorry for your loss. I know God is your strength and comfort.
Your card is just stunning. I love everything about it. Today, I received my newest dies in the mail! My much longed for “Cinch and Go Flowers” and “Flourished Frames”. I’m anxious to begin playing with them.
Bless you, Becca, and enjoy your precious time with your Mom.
My memory is putting up a tent in our back yard with my kids. The three of them and myself would sleep outside and eat all the things would should not. We had so much fun and I should do miss the good times we had.

Hi Mom! (waving and in awe you are some place warm enough to sit on the porch in jammies sipping coffee!!) So glad you are together and spending time with cherished memories and hanging out. What a blessing for you both.
Favorite fall memory? Going waaay back – oh I still want new notebooks and pens in September! And making cabbage pockets for Oktoberfest…and applesauce and apple butter….big Thanksgiving feasts with extended family and friends…my favorite holiday of them all :)
Blessings, Becca and Mom – overflowing blessings!
Enjoy your special time with your Mama.
During Autumn I enjoy roasting green chile and stocking the freezer. There is nothing like the chile in the Mesilla Valley. Delicious!
HI Becca,
Thank you for sharing your beautiful creation again! It never ceases to amaze me, you seem to “outdo” yourself more and more.
Fall is my favorite season! I love the beautiful colors that are the last bloom of summer, the harvest of fall squashes and sweet potatoes, the wonderful crisp mornings walking through the garden and seeing dew on the cob webs, the wonderful bright pumpkins up beside the corn stalks, all herald that fall is here! Time to GIVE THANKS!
Happy Thanksgiving Becca
For me it is snuggling under a handmade afghan (Made by me) with a warm cup of homemade Hot Chocolate with lots of mini marshmallows while gazing at the changing leaves through my window.

This card is so beautiful and the sentiment so true. I love the bow and the pearl pin. Do you make your own pins? Or do you buy them premade? I would love to make my own someday.

Still praying for you ya’ll {{{hugz}}}
What a beautiful card, lucky for us you had this in your stash! Fall…apple picking with my children, we would go to the orchard and pick bags of apples, the kids would eat as they picked. Home we would go to make everything apple!
Great Card.
Enjoy time with your Mom
Hi Becca, gorgeous card today. Love when all the leaves are turning colours. Living in Canada, we have our Thanksgiving in October. So every Thanksgiving weekend we always go to a special place and take a walk around a mill pond and through the forest. We have been doing this ever since our children were small. Now we have grandchildren and the tradition is continuing with them.
So sorry for your loss. It must be terribly hard what you and your family went through. My prayers are with you all.
A fun thing we do in the fall is to gather acorns with our grandchildren. Recently it was 2 seven year old, a four year old and a 20month old. It is such fun watching them. Of course they have to look under all the bushes for “treasures”. The latest was a small gin bottle that they put berries in and topped with an acorn cap. They were so proud of that. Their imagination is worth it’s weight in gold.
Have a peaceful season.
Beautiful card. Sorry for your loss. Prying for you and your family. God bless.
Beautiful and perfect! I love Fall and all it offers! The colors & the weather. It’s my special time of year! I get to enjoy camping and walking and campfires!
Hi Becca, a gorgeous card so glad you and your mum are having a peaceful time reflecting on all your memories.
Nancyd xx
Another work of art. So beautiful. I live in California so we
don’t get a lot of the color changing in the trees, but there are a few and I so enjoy seeing them each day in a different color scheme. The smell of the pumpkin pies cooking is wonderful. Enjoy your coffee with your Mom what a wonderful memory you will have forever. So miss my Mom.
Hi Becca, Another oh, so pretty. You have such an innate sense of placement and additions that make your work different and new yet has your style. Love the scallop fold over the picture of the ladies and the sentiment off set to the side with just enough gold flourish above the images. Who’d of thought of that? Yes, you. Thanks and enjoy having your mom sitting with you drinking the coffee. Tell her for me that she raised you well. Barbara
Wow! I wish we had something we could call ‘fall’, but here where I live in Africa the seasons kind of move straight from winter into summer. This time of year is busy as we have our summer hols in December & everything is closing down for that. But do look forward to the rest time. Lovely card xx
A very beautiful card Becca
I love the colors changing on the trees, but alas i am not at all keen on the Dark nights and Mornings .
Take Care Becca
God Bless.

You card is beautiful & I love that sentiment. I have used it a few times myself.
I am so sorry about your loss & pray that God will comfort you. Enjoy your Mom’s visit. I wish I could sit & enjoy a cup of coffee with mine again.
I enjoy the smells of fall. I live on a farm in NE Iowa & there is always something interesting (& sometimes not so nice) to smell. My favorite is the fragrance of the evergreen trees as I walk to the mailbox.
Dixie
Your card is gorgeous, and I love the sentiment! Glad you are having a nice visit with your Mom! I associate fall with the celebration of family birthdays – always a special time when we are together! Thank you for the chance to win!
Gorgeous card! I look forward to fall is because the migrating birds are stopping by our yard on their way south. Today the Varied Thrushes are scratching around in the oak leaves looking for food.
Hi Becca, This card is absolutely stunning !! I love the G45 image, I love all the die-cuts and the inking, and I adore the TH sentiment. You always create beautiful cards, and this one is absolutely stunning !!
I have just finished doing my front garden, think it will be the last time this year, it is very cold here today our forecast was for an Arctic blast and they were definitely right, although next week it should turn warmer again. I’m not good with this time of year when we have a lot of darkness, I am a definite summer person, so I am counting the days until we have spring again haha. I keep telling my hubby I should spend half of the year in our country (UK) and half the year in Australia, and have the summer twice hahaha.
Lots of love and huge hugs to you and your Family, from Patricia xx
Such an elegant and romantic card, Becca, and a wonderful sentiment!
I don’t have special routines being associated with fall, but a good memory from a couple of years back in time;
We went to the US to visit our daughter who was studying there,
and drove by car from the West to the East coast.
A fantastic journey; all the wonderful people we met, the beautiful landscape and the colors of the trees and landscape – becoming more and more brilliant the further east we went!
I have never seen colors like that.
Becca, you really live in a beautiful country with the landscape changing from state to state, just amazing :))
Hi Becca,
What a lovely card, I like G45 paper too.Nice to have your Mom with you at this time, enjoy all your memories. Can’t say I have any special thing about fall only you know winter is not far behind. We have been lucky this year no snow yet its been trying to snow only flurries so far, this time last year lots of snow, I hate winter.
Hello Becca,
Another beautiful card from you.
My favourite autumn memory is, as a child walking through the fallen leaves in the orchard and kicking them up into the air.
Maureen xx
I love the gorgeous show of color, cooler days and meteor showers of fall!
Yay for your mom being there with you!! I’m sure you will treasure this time with her!
Fall always brings back cherished memories of my mom, in heaven now for 3 years-3 months now. The Monarch butterflies migrate though our part of Texas every year in October around the time of her birthday. We would always call each other when we first saw one, and now that she’s been gone, I always think of them as butterflies from heaven. This October I saw the first one on the afternoon of the day before what would’ve been her 81st birthday!
We had many cherished times when my sister and I would take her to Canton (if you’re from Texas you know what a fun time it is) for her birthday and have a grand time shopping and laughing!! So thankful for these fun times we had with her!
I meant to include a routine of fall. My sister and I still go to Canton the same time, for her birthday. We have lots of fun times and love buying things. If we hesitate to get something we repeat what Mama always said, “just get it!” :)
Becca,
So glad that you and your mom are together now, and getting to spend some much needed quality time together. You’ve been through an ordeal and both need time to heal. What better way than to do it while getting in some mother/daughter bonding. Good stuff! Since my birthday is in October. I have a lot of fond memories from falls past. As for a ritual, family time prepping for a big Thanksgiving meal is a favored treat for me. Hope you have loving, wonderful Turkey day yourself! Blessings!
I cherish every day of fall to share the beauty of God’s surroundings with my two whippets blush and Gina
Hi Becca super card so bright and fresh just like your fall, for me it time to start getting jumpers out and snuggeling up ready for winter which l hate .Hope you have a good time with your mum and enjoy the being together hugs linda
Hello Becca,
God bless you for your grace and your stand in Him through the fire. You are such a wonderful inspiration and example to us all. I pray for you and your family.
Thank you for the opportunity to have a chance at this lovely card. It would be such an honor to have one of your cards to encourage and inspire me. I look forward to all of your posts and welcome your new creations.
I am happy to see your new videos once in a while again too. I missed your lovely (annointed) voice and excellent teaching skills! I am currently overseas and unable to view them, but once back in the States I will catch up once again.

Amazing Grace!,, Becca your card is gorgeous (they all are). My sincere sympathy in the home going of your brother. ,May the Lord comfort your heart as you pass through a difficult trial. Lovingly, Gloria
Thank you, I am excited to get your card. I reread the sentiment. They are lovely words. I love your cards. I love your bow, my friends will be exited to see your work up close too. I hope you and your mom’s time together are cherished times this Thanksgiving.
I love this card and I absolutely love the dies you used for the frames. They look like some kind of doily die but they may be from a punch. What are the frames made from – love them!!!
Dear Becca,
Firstly, please accept condolences for the passing of your brother. I am so happy that your mum is with you. You need each other at this time.
I am a new blogger on your site. I absolutely adore your cards.
They have so much depth and substance. Of course they all are so special. You are truly an artist.
Fall is such a special time of year as the light is so different.
