Sweet friends, happy Friday. I wanted to pop in with my giveaway for Day of Giving Friday – this is the card up for grabs today. The sentiment, although retired, is a sweet one about true friends. It simply made me smile and know that there are such good people all around. I’ve been so blessed by my blog and the friends that come to share. Also, since I put down roots in Florida after being a military brat all my life, it’s good to have those friend anchors to run to for a shoulder or an ear.
The 5-1/2″ x 7-1/2″ card is simple (don’t I always say that, lol) and is built upon Spellbinders Elegant Labels Four. On top of that I framed the card with a retired die that I designed called Heirloom Flourish One. The bottom is finished with Spellbinders Curved Borders Two. It looks intricate because I layered gold behind the border cut out for a little bit of gleam!

Oh my gosh, this is such a gorgeous card, and I absolutely LOVE that sentimen. Which brand is it, if I may ask? I know, you say it´s retired, but sometimes we can be lucky to find a used one somewhere, and I would really love to see, if I could be lucky to fin this one somewhere.
I have been very blessed to have some really great friends through my life, and I have even more, that I´ve had almost my entire life, and they really are gold to me, as we´re always here for each other, no matter how long it´s been since last time, and that is priceless, that´s for sure.
What a beautiful card. The sentiment is wonderful and really expresses what true friendship is all about. I am blessed by having such a friend. We can go for weeks at a time without seeing each other or talking, but we are always there for each other without question.

I am very lucky to have a number of true friends both from the area where I was born and lived for most of my life and also in the area in which I now live. I know if I needed to call on any of them for anything, they would be there in a flash and the same goes if ever they needed me.

I have a few friends, just when I don’t think anyone is there poof a call or an e-mail will brighten my day.
Your card is beautiful (as always) and I absolutely love the sentiment, which perfectly describes my true friend! She is more like a sister than a friend and she blesses me with her presence in my life!
While I have many friends, my bestest friends are my 3 sisters! We had 9 of us kids and only the four of us are left. Thankfully, three of them live in the same town and I am only 15 miles away. We’ve been through so much together and have leaned on each other for support. I don’t know what I’d do without my sisters – love and appreciate them all so much. Your card today is beautiful. You certainly have a way of putting dies and sentiments and assories together so neatly. Thanks for sharing with us.

Indeed I have been blessed with a very dear friend, in fact two and we were a threesome. Alas, one died and the other moved away and it has taken me a bit of time to grow close to another friend. I have several other friends from church and we do things together. Loved your card. You always know how to add something to really change a card from beautiful to way way outstanding.

Beautiful card as always. I have yet to see a card you have created that I didn’t love! My best friend brought dinner over (enough for 2 meals) when I got home after my cancer surgery. She was so thoughtful she fixed no spice, no gas, no onion/garlic meal. When she had surgery I fixed the same type of meal for her and she remembered!
Lovely lovely lovely card…I’ve got a couple true friends , also being an Air Force brat, four of us have remained friends for 46 yrs, we just got together for 5 days again, I’m so blessed with many friends…most r like family
Just today I got together with 2 of my 3 best friends, one had moved away several years ago and the other had withdrawn due to family issues. No matter how much time we are apart we are always together in spirit.
I have followed a few friends through their cancer surgeries. Also I was there with a good friend when her Dad was put into hospice care. She thanked me for those weeks of everyday communication and the sharing of our favorite hymns.
My truly best friend is a kind and caring Christian. She came into my life in 1994 and has been a wonderful addition to my friends. She is always there when I need help, when I need advice, gives me scriptures when I feel lost and is a true, true friend. She has daily migraines, lupus and fibromyalgia. She also lost her loving husband in June 2015. She is such a sweet and caring person and I just hate the obstacles put in front of her. Although she has all these obstacles she never complains. She is truly one of a kind and a gem.

Lovely card Becca! And yes, true friends are priceless. I don’t have a BFF, but I am fortunate to have many dear friends around me. They all supported my hubby and I through a rough time. I was comforted knowing they were there to help and be with us in spirit and friendship.
This week was especially difficult. I was on the phone talking to my sweeet friend when I heard the doorbell ring. Hubby answered, my friend and I were talking, so I didn’t notice. Then I turned, and there she was, on the phone with me, looking at me with roses in her hands. I just hugged her and cried. What a comforting friend.

Having a true friend has always helped me to be a better person. I was told by my Grandmother that, if at the end of your live you can count your true friends on one hand, you are blessed. These are they ones who do not judge you but give great advise, Even if you do not see them for years, it feels like seconds once you get back together again.
I only have 4 so will continue to find my fifth!

Oh, I am so blessed. I’ve been house hunting for 2 years and my dear friend has not just viewed over 60 properties with me but has had me staying with her for 2 weeks at a time. It’s not my fussiness, 2 properties have fallen through so I keep having to go back to square one. I am so, so blessed.

I was truly blessed to have my best friend for 50 years! I was 5 when we met….we knew everything about each other and our families….she died 4 years ago and I miss her everyday…I feel blessed everyday that she was my friend.

The card, dies and sentiment are all wonderful.
I have a friend who I worked with 57 years ago!!! Oh my, we’ve shared so much together. Marriage (I was her bridesmaid) but she was pregnant when it was my turn, pregnancy and our children leaving home to get married. I meet her every fortnight for lunch.
Now I have also made some wonderful friends through crafting and we meet up twice a year for a few days away as we live in different parts of the U.K. There are all sorts of friendship, and every one is special.

I love your sweet and beautiful card! Such a perfect sentiment for a true friend! I have been so very blessed by true friendship! My sister, that is about 5 years younger, is someone that I also call my very best friend! We just “get” each other and have so much fun when we are together! I’m so thankful for another very best friend that I’ve known for about 12 years (our daughters played on the same high school volleyball team). We have laughed, cried, supported each other through it all. She’s also been my workout buddy and I’m so sad that she moved last week just over an hour away. I’m going to miss seeing her almost every day at the gym, but I know that our friendship won’t change one bit!
I have a couple of really good friends and know that if I ever need anything, either of them will help and they have. It’s great to see all the stories here about having friends. It’s been said ‘friends are the family you give yourself’ and I think that’s so true. Friends give us a feeling of acceptance and that we aren’t alone in the world. Life would be pretty sad without friends..

Lovely card Becca! Love the verse. I’ve been blessed to have two BFFS since second grade. We are now 65 years old. We just had a mini reunion in Des moines Iowa. We all live in different states.
My blog friend Cobweb has been a life saver since my husband passed away last month. I may never get to meet her in person . In fact I don’t even know her real name but I do love her friendship. Thanks Becca for your beautiful talent.

There I met about 14 stamping friends. When I am in FL, we meet for lunch every Wednesday, and we share cards for every occasion. I have been very blessed to have a true friend. The quality that I valued so highly in this friendship was honesty. She told me the truth, even if it was painful to hear. A person has to love you unconditionally in order to do that and remain your friend. She’s in the heavenly realm now but when the going gets tough, I still talk to my “Special Buddy”.

Having friends is always good to have. My best friend is my husband and my close friend happens to live in another country. You know how folks say friends are the family you make? Well, my made family is very small.

I’m fortunate to have a special friend since childhood and although we don’t see each other much, I know she is always there. Another, younger friend is always smart and funny and a very caring gal. Outstanding card.

The verse fits my friend to a T! We have been friends now for 20 plus years We use to live in the same city but then we shifted but every Thursday during her lunch hour, she rushes home to have her lunch while we talk on Skype! We have been there for each other through thick and thin and can tell each other anything. We are blessed that our friendship has lasted all this time.
This card is amazing. There is one person who I’ve been able to call friend year after year. This person is always there for me when I’m good and when I’m bad. Never judging me or trying to make me into someone else. That friend is my husband.

Aloha, Becca, I’m an Army brat. It’s hard not growing up with the same kids, being a “new kid” so often, not being able to answer “Where are you from?” questions, and much more. But we do learn how to be adaptable a bit easier from all the constant new everything, and trying to absorb/fit in as soon as possible. Each one of your creations is frame-able precious art. I would love to have a true friend, I joined the Army when I was 17, and a number of years later married a Serviceman and we were always moving around. My only constant friend was my Mum and now I have lots of acquaintances but not a true friend.

My lifelong bestie is/was my mom! It’ll be 3 years Monday 19 that she died. I’ve been having a rough time. She was Aldo my craft buddy. Recently I’ve become a member of a group of crafter’s who share their knowledge and love of card making as well as comfort, love, and compassion. So noe I have nearly 300 besties!!!
