Hello there today!!! Peeking in to share a card for Day of Giving Friday. This is one of my oldies but there are few that are closer to my heart. This week I’m working on new dies and it’s a little bit like dreaming with your eyes open. I always think about what I don’t already have and what I’d like to have and what I’d like to go with what I already have. In other words, my mind is always churning and full of ideas. If you’d like to leave a general suggestion – pop up to my contact tab (please do not leave as a public comment) and leave me a little note in the form that pops up. Even though I can’t answer every note, I do read them.
For new readers, every Friday it’s my pleasure to give away a card. The card goes to a randomly picked reader (worldwide) who leaves a comment in our conversation. Want to know more about Day of Giving, here’s a link to my FAQ’s just check out #11. I’ll be updating the list of winners this weekend so be sure to stop back by to check the list of winners HERE! When I started out blogging many years ago, I predominantly used scripture stamps. For your comment: I’m curious . . . in your card giving do you have a preference of scripture or everyday sentiments or a balance of both? Do tell…

I’m doing very well! It seems 2017 is off to a slow start for me but I’m taking time to think, process and feel instead of the constant panic and hurry that has been life for a long time. I call this savoring the good things and being present. And, one of the things I truly savor is the sweet people who pop in and out of my life online. Know you are treasured!!
Beautiful love the attention to details stunning thanks for sharing
Without a doubt, I love scripture on my cards. It always means so much to me to hear of His love for us all. I must also say, I absolutely love this cards. I love the sentiment and everything about it. Wow , just gorgeous. God bless…Denice
Simply gorgeous and love the sentiment. I love making both Christian cards and everyday cards. I love using bible verses on my cards.
So so sweet in pretty pink. The saying is so true if we do seek his refuge. Thanks for the opportunity to win this beauty.
This is beautiful, Becca. I love this verse!
This is so beautiful Becca. With regard to sentiments in my cards I use either a verse of scripture or an encouraging quote. I love to make the sentiment the focal point of my card. I have a friend who calls me “the quote queen”! I’ll go with that because it it so true! Hugs Christine xx
I just reread your post and saw the question. I use more scripture sentiments than any others but Birthday ones. I find it really hard to find sentiments that aren’t all about bucking up, just do this or that and you’ll be fine. It’s hard to be encouraging when most sentiments are all the same out there. I spend too much money on a packet of stamps for just one that works.
love, love, love your card! love that scripture also! I have a lot of scripture stamps that I need to use more often!
What a beautiful card, love the feather embellishment! I usually use everyday sentiments, only because that is what I have in stamp form. I would love to have a few nice scripture verses to use in my cards. Those are hard to find where I usually get my stamp sets. Sometimes I just write in a scripture passage that I like. Thanks for sharing and for the chance to win one of your gorgeous cards.
~Gin K~
Oh Becca, this is a most beautiful and loving card. I have all of your dies now and look forward to using them with this sentiment. We lost so many family and friends last year and I only wish that I had had such a beautiful saying to send. Usually, my cards contain a quote appropriate for the occasion, which I place on the left side or top of the inside message sheet. My inside sentiment is personally designed for the individual or occasion and includes a Poem with the mention of the person’s special interest or a connection somehow to the design of the card. I have been sending hand made cards since 1996. I hope I never run out of ideas. Thanks to you and Quietfire (to which my kids gave me a gift card) I think I’m OK for now. I use my computer word program to categorize occasions so I don’t send the same thoughts twice to the same person. Hugs, Sara
I’ve used both scripture and everyday sentiments on my cards. It usually depends on the person and the occasion. Thanks for sharing your cards and talents. Your cards are beautiful.
This is classic Becca and I love it! I use both everyday sentiments and Scripture verses, and my choice depends on the season and the occasion. Ideally, every card would have a Scripture verse somewhere, but this doesn’t always happen. Thank
You for the chance to win.
This is so very beautiful Becca…. I believe undoubtedly in Angels and this combined with such a perfect card would make my weekend.
Hope you enjoy yours. Xx
BEAUTIFUL CARD, BECCA! I LOOOOOVE this Scripture! I’ll HAVE TO look for it! I like a nice mix between Scriptures & just general sentiments. The one Scripture I want, isn’t out there though. So, what is a girl to do, but write it out on her own! LOL It’s my favorite Scripture. There are times that a Scripture is the only thing that works, & other times, a general verse fits! ;)
What a beautiful card Becca – I do love beautifully presented scripture stamps, and I needed that scripture this morning. I use a mix of general and scriptural stamps – it depends on the card I am making and to whom it is going!!
Blessings
Maxine
Another one of your stunning cards! Love it! I really like to have Scripture somewhere on my card, but these have to be computer generated as I don’t have scripture stamps. A little more work, but worth it.
Hello Becca,
What an absolutely beautiful card and sentiment, I especially like the angel wings.
I use a mixture of both styles of stamps, depending on the person and the occasion. It’s absolutely necessary to have a good choice of both.
love Maureen xxx
I generally use sentiments in my cards, but occasionally I have used some faith based sentiments. I really like the sentiment on this card.
I do both depending on the occasion and the recipient.
This card is so lovely and just the reminder I needed at this very moment….things are not good at all. Major Season of Stormy Weather and barely hearing the Lord’s Whisper. Please, keep me in your prayers.

As for the cards I make I usually include a Scripture at the top and then on a separate piece of paper I include a Poem I wrote especially for the person and the situation.
Beautiful card Becca and the sentiment is also meaningful!
what a combination! Beauty and God’s Word!! I’ve used both scripture It usually depends on the person and the occasion. Thanks for sharing your cards and talents. Your cards are beautiful I can’t wait to hear from you, I know you are a busy lady and talented too! hahaaaaaaaaaaaaaha
Love!
**milu**
Beautiful card.
Glad to hear you are taking care of you.
My motto “LIVE,DONT JUST EXIST” It works!
Everyday sentiments are my go to.
I make more cards with scripture. Your posted card is gorgeous! I love the soft look with the comforting verse.
Hi Becca,
This card is over the top! Everything I love is in this card!
My personal favorite sentiments to give or receive is scriptures or quotes. Sometimes I find it necessary to rely on the the traditional. So I use both, but love the scriptures.
Hi, Becca,
Your post is like sunshine today…So. Calif. is getting a deluge of rain, it’s dreary and cold.
Good news indeed to hear you are well and getting some down time. Such a necessity, but many times we treat rest like a luxury, especially if we want to do our best creative work.
Scripture is something I use on my cards, but I’m more inclined to put it inside the card rather than the outside.
Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful card!
Love & blessings,
Sandy
Love the wispiness of the feathers and the little gems sticking out from within the flowers!
Hi Becca, what a beauty of a card , loving it all.
I love to use both , it really does depend who i am sending too.
God Bless.
Elaine H X
Absolutely beautiful, love the verse..especially the colors and wings!!
Beautiful card Becca. Love the sentiment and softness of the card. Most of my cards are encouragement cards so this verse would fit well.
That card is gorgeous!!!! I use both religious and everyday sayings….it really depends on the occasion. Thank you for sharing your talent!!
Beautiful card, and love the scripture, something we should all remember when we are feeling a little down.
both because some every day expressions derive from scripture or or mistaken for coming from the Bible. Love all of the layers.
I stick with everyday sentiments. Another lovely card as usual. Christine S.
I do scriptures on many of my mixed media canvases. Not so much on my cards. Not sure why.
Beautiful Card Becca. Psalm 91 is my favorite psalm.
I use both on my cards. It depends who I am sending to.
I can not put any scriptures in the card I send to missionaries.
So many of them get their mail open & check.
Hi Becca, You have used the best of the best from dies gone by but you always put a fresh twist on them and that added bow is deal maker. Thanks for sharing and using past items–doesn’t feel as though it was wasteful spending when I added those dies to my collection.
I always use scripture when appropriate for the recipient. If I don’t know the person that well I revert to paraphrases of scripture or generic sentiments. It’s the contact that’s important even more than the thought sent. Just remembering them speaks volumes.
I hope and pray all is well with you and your family. You are a treasure and I appreciate your expressions of love displayed through your designs. Barbara
Such a precious card! Are those “bells” I see on top of the bow and around the flowers? Mostly I use everyday sentiments. I also use scripture and Quiet Fire sentiments. This week I made a similar card to your “If kisses were snow flakes”, Day of Giving, 16 Dec 2016. The lady I made it for likes RED, a lot! So I did the background in red and layered the red on white. I cut the Spellbinders Fabulous Fretwork out of white card and pieced them together. I used your SP Arched Swallowtail die and cut it in red. I used a SP tag that has roses on it to hold my greeting which I cut out of white card. Most of the rose tag was red, but I cut one out of white to use the roses as an applique after I sponged red through the die. I added a lovely white satin ribbon and bow and adorned the bow with a handmade deep red rose that I had glittered. Of course, I had to add lots of white pearls. I think it’s very pretty and I can hardly wait to give it to this lady. Thank you for your inspiration for this card. I hope you were able to watch “John Next Door” demonstrate on Hochanda your dies made for Spellbinders. I think he did a great job. If you missed his shows, you can still see the shows on “catch-up or “replay” for a week or so more. Wishing you a blessed weekend.
Lovely card, Ms. Becca – thank you for sharing it. I like a variety of things on my cards, including scripture. I try to balance them, because I want my cards to be inspirational to people of all faiths, not just Christians. And then, too – I love my punny cards…always have.
Have a wonderful weekend….blessings!
Joni
Use secular sentiments cuz that’s what I have. Never want to seem to push religion though all know of my faith.
Your cards are always so amazing. I would love to be able to create like you. I have been making cards for a lady at church who sends them to members that are sick or need uplifting. I love doing it but I need to get quicker to get more done. I do use spiritual quotes on them or encouraging sentiments. Thanks for sharing what you do with the world.
What a gorgeous card! I love the way you used the feathers.
I find I use a combination of both, but love the scripture verses.
This is especially important to me. At this moment my brother, Ray, is close to his last breath on earth. Please pray for my family as we pray Jesus Christ greets him with open arms. Thank you
Hi Theresa, Herewith I am sending you and your family my Heartfelt prayers, your Brother Ray will be welcomed into the Arms of Our Lord. You are in my thoughts and in my prayers.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
Funny how time and age will cause your thought process to change. I always thought my mom was old fashion and now I’m the mom. When I started this card making hobby I loved all the cutesy and animal designs. Now I’m in my 70s and I use a lot of scriptures and everyday sentiments on my cards. aaahhh, the ‘golden age’….it’s good.
Beautiful card. The feather just adds just the right touch to the sentiment. This card just came at the right time as it has been a difficult week. I think I’ll use this scripture on the two cards I need to make tonight. I use quotes, scripture, and generic greetings equally. Just depends on the person and reason for the card. Thank you for all you do for all of us.
Really lovely card. I actually have all these dies. How lucky for me.
4He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
5Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
6Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
7A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
8Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
9Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
10There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
11For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
This is A chaper that has helped me through so many journeys in my life! God Bless Becca!
A beautiful psalm. Your card is just gorgeous you are such an inspiration to everyone and thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Hi Becca, this card is so beautiful. The colours, right mixture of dies & sentiment make it perfect!
I love to use both everyday & scripture verses. I like any words of encouragment too.
Can’t wait to see what beautiful creations you come up with next! I better start saving from now lol ;)
Have a lovely weekend! xox
beautiful card. I did not know there were scripture stamps until I began following you many years ago. so many crafty things have come into my world since following you. I usually use general phrases but I have some scripture ones. there are some cards that just need a scripture to convey the message.
Another lovely card!!! Thank you!
Great card…so beautiful …
Becca,
Beautiful card, the sentiment is usually chosen to suit the person I’m giving the card to, so it would be a mix of sentiments.
Dee
Such a wonderful and elegant card here again Becca, and a beautiful verse, that you´ve used here.
I always try to find a saying or a verse, that´ll fitt exactly for the person, who´s recieving my card. But must admit too, that I try to keep it as neutral as possible, as I don´t want people to think, I´m trying to push something on them in any way.
This is such a lovely card, Becca. I love the layers. And the colors. And just everything! Thank you, as always, for the inspiration. You are my Guru of the paper world!!
To answer your question of the day, I use Scripture in almost everything, but along with a general greeting (Hello, Thinking of You, Thank You, etc.) I usually either write the scripture out by hand, or print it with a pretty font. There just aren’t enough good scripture stamps out there to choose from.
Lovely Card. I like a balance of both.
Beautiful sentiment. At first glance, without my glasses, I thought the wings were a mustache. lol!
Pretty card very soft !
I use both sentiments , it is important to get it right
as it makes the card suit the person . Hugs Pamxxxxx
Good morning Becca, I too thought the wings were a moustache but hey ho!!! Silly me!!!
I use mostly everyday sentiments it depends on the recipient!!!
Your card is stunning as they always are!!!
John Lockwood did you proud!!!
Have a good one!!!
Loopy Lyndaxxx
Hi Becca. Lovely card as always. I prefer everyday sentiments. Happy weekend!
I love scripture only I have not many stamps yet but the Word of God is a wonderful way to express our love, faith and encouragement. Your cards are amazing and expressive!
Blessings!
Chris
Very nice Becca,Beautiful verse & card. I have more word stamps
as I call them of everyday greetings but anytime I can get scriptural stamps I do.
This verse reminds me of one of my favorites Is 40:31
Strength & protection
Hi Becca, A stunning card and the Psalm wording is glorious, they are lovely words for a ‘Sympathy’ card.
Sadly, the people who I make cards for are not Religious like I am, so I tend to use ‘Everyday’ sentiments, but the Scripture words mean a lot to me and I have a lot of them.
I’m excited to know what your new designs are like !!
Lots of love from Patricia xx
As a carmaker I am always looking to direct one’s attention to God’s Word. Then I try to add a saying and image.
this us gorgeous. i do mainly everyday
Such a pretty card, Becca, and a beautiful scripture.
I have determined this year to send more cards with scripture on and to provide more to our ministers to hand out as appropriate. We don’t seem to have many scriptural stamps in the UK, so I have to computer generate or hand write.
Looking forward to seeing your new creations.
Hugs
Anne(UK) x
Hya Becca beautiful card as always i love words and verses on my cards and try and match them to the recipient not just make willy nilly
Enjoy your weekend
Love from Ang GB xx
Hi Becca such a beautiful card and Sentiment. I always find the sentiments on your cards to be beautiful. I think however that sometimes scripture sentiments are not appropriate for some people or occasions, therefore I do like a mixture of both.
Good Luck with designing your new Dies I am certain that they will be – as all your others dies are – brilliant and a great asset to our crafty arsenal.

Hello Becca- Your card today is again simply lovely! You do such beautiful pieces of art with each card you craft. I love the layers and details on this card and especially the scripture. I love using scripture and love receiving cards with scripture.
I am always inspired by your creations. When I look at your work, it makes me want to get into my craft room and create. Unfortunately, health issues continue to plague me but I want you to know your creativity reaches put and it does touch and inspire those you share it with.
Very pretty card Becca. I love the sentiment dearly. In my cards I usually add just everyday sentiments, though on sympathy cards the scripture is one often used.
Love the softness of this card. I don not use scripture quotes as I don’t have any such stamps and haven’t learned to use computer for qoutes. Mostly do ” thank you, happy birthday, thinking of you,” more simple . I’m still a beginner card maker and have limited supplies. I enjoy the inspiration of all your cards. Thanks for sharing
Beautiful card Becca, embellished to perfection x x x
