Greetings blog friends, I hope you are having a wonderful family filled holiday weekend. Despite my ambitions to be extremely productive this weekend, a headache sidelined me to the sofa but the sunny side of that equation was that I got caught up on a couple of movies. I don’t do that often but I found that there’s nothing like a good laugh to vanquish a nagging headache – I literally laughed out loud through one whole silly, old movie. Thankfully this got me up and working on a card to share using one of the new sets from Our Daily Bread Designs called Count the Waves. Using a vintage panel from some Recollections paper I found recently, I tried to leave as much of the panel exposed as possible. I stamped my sentiment on Spellbinders™ Fancy Tags Two and stenciled through the template while the paper was seated and backed it with Spellbinders™Fancy Tags One. Because my layers were looking so boxy I decided to add a header using Spellbinders™ Lattice Pendants.

Becca, it’s storming here in Buffalo, Mn… It started out to be 93 degrees today and now dropped to about 73. Your cards are the most beautiful I’ve ever seen. I have been following your blog for about a month now – I just discovered it and I am continuously amazed at your gorgeous creativity. I love the way you explain how you make everything. I can’t wait to get some of the wonderful sentiments you use. I just think everything you make is so elegant. Thank you for all the inspiration you are to me.
I agree with all the wonderful comments on this card. It is beautiful…I guess its the colors that grabbed me as they are just about my favorites. The paper is truly a “find” with the gorgeous lilies. I, too, am wondering about the white filmy stuff; I’ve seen it before somewhere but can’t remember if it was angel hair or what.
Angel hair, eh? Who wudda thunk? Only you, of course. It’s gorgeous and adds an ethereal feel to the card. Simply stunning. Like everyone else, I love the card, its warm colours, and composition.
Nothing like a headache to take the wind out of your sails, eh. Happy to hear it’s history.

I was wondering about the flowers. Are they something you purchased or have you made them from the seam binding? They are so soft and pretty.
Lovely panel and your flowers go beautifully with it, great quote too! Hope your feeling much better, a good movie is good every now and then :)
