Hi there blog friends!! I have to admit that after I got done with this card I was pleased — it’s different! It almost looks like filigree to me. I’m using some of this months new releases with JustRite Stamps and several Spellbinders templates to get the effect; I used JustRite Stampers Faith and Forever Friends sets.
Isn’t this layer-a-licious? I used Spellbinders Grand Squares to cut out all the levels up to Spellbinders Fleur de Lis Squares. I’m soooo in love with the perfect square and the embossed (beveled) edges – they finish a card so nicely. After setting the Fleur de Lis Squares in place I cut four of the large symmetrical posts from Spellbinders Elegant Posts then cut arrow end off and trimmed the big end. On top of that I stacked Spellbinders Classic Squares LG and Spellbinders Classic Squares SM and finished by cutting my sentiment out with Spellbinders Classic Circles LG.
Oh, I found Recollections Pearls in chocolate!! I know you can color them but I love them when they are already the color I need. I just didn’t have the heart to put ribbon on this card – it’s soooo busy and I didn’t want to disturb the symmetry.

Good Morning Becca
what a beautiful card the color combo and sentiment just wonderful.
I visit your site daily it helps to make my day. Thank you for sharing
Happy Easter Becca to you and yours!
Oh My this is pretty! I love the spellbinders die that makes it so lacy. That just right stamp is nice and those pretty little pearls. Sigh!
Wauw this is just amazing as always hun. I just love these colors here, and I have never seen any pears or anything at all in this chocolate color here, but it sure looks awesome. Your whole card is a real stunner.
Have a wonderful Easter hun.
Hi Becca,
Just love your colour combo and the use of the Nesties, you sure know how to put them together.
I visit your blog every day .
Have a Happy Easter and weekend.
Beautiful Becca.
So elegant and pretty…….as always…enjoy your coffee!!
This is one of my favorites!! I love the chocolate and cream along with all the “filigree”, just perfect!!
Happy Easter…..
What a beautiful card and early Easter Blessings to you and your family.
Gorgeous.
Hi Becca,
Praise the Lord for your beautiful work in His name. I love your cards, they are so beautiful and such a blessing. You are truly an inspiration to me!!! Could you please tell me how do you get the cardstock out of the Spellbinders Dies that are very thin. I usually end up tearing them or poking holes in them trying to dig them out. Thanks and God Bless always.
I so look forward to your new cards…everyday the first thing I look for in my inbox is your blog. Today’s card has made my day…it has my favorite colors and the filigree makes it perfect…Happy Easter.
It’s beautiful! Love it just the way it is!
Gosh, I love this card! You leave me wanting more Spellbinders dies everyday. (Yes, you can pass that little snippet on to them, so they know you’re doing your job showcasing their products, & doing it REALLY well.)
How beautiful. I love all the different layers. This would be perfect for a masculine b-day card too! I have a question. I use a craft knife to apply my self-adhesive gems and pearls. Any suggestions on an easier method? I’ve tried the tweezers, but if I don’t cut the string of adhesive with a craft knife first, it often pulls the adhesive off the back. Any other tips or ideas?
Thank you so much for inspiring me daily.
God Bless and Happy Easter
Beautiful card – the pearls are perfect!
This is gorgeous. Love how you layer all these nestibilities.
Lovely card, Becca. I don;t use brown very often nut this is very striking.
Beautiful card Becca
Tip: I use a needle or pin to apply my self-adhesive gems and pearls
Love this card and the first thing I noticed was it has no ribbon! The brown tones are striking.
Earth Day today (22nd), Take your travel mug to Starbuck’s and get a free coffee or tea in it. If you don’t have a travel mug, they’ll sell you one for 20% off. Today only, The brown on this card made me think of coffee and tea, and the e-mail that I got from Starbuck’s advertizing it. I’m all about free…then we’ll have more money to spend on our arts & crafts!
LOVE the chocolate color and your amazing layering. You’ll put us in the poor house, as I seem to feel I MUST HAVE the fancy dies you use so well!
I love your card and am SOOOOO surprised to see NO ribbon!!! But the card is perfect just as it is… great job!!!
Hi Becca, your card is Gorgeous!!
I really enjoy reading about the ways you adapt a “Spellbinder’s” die to fit your project. Great ideas.
this is a beautiful card as always! The saying is perfect for today ! God Bless and Happy Easter !
Wow, that layering effect is gorgeous!
WOW you truly do amazing things with Spellbinders. Love the effect that you created with this one!!
Beautiful. I love the colors and the delicate look! Fabulous Becca!
So intricate and delicate! If it was music, it would be Pachelbel’s Canon. If it was literature, Shakespeare comes to mind. In other words, your creation is
a real classic.
Although I’m a huge fan of your ribbon treatments, I’m glad you decided to forgo ribbon on this card. As you said, it would take away from this handsome card.
Beautiful card Becca. I too visit your site everyday to see what beautiful card you have created. You are an inspiration to me too. I love the script paper, I have been looking for some, can you tell me where you got it from? I could not find it on DCWV site.
Happy Easter!
HOW BEAUTIFUL Becca!!!! It DOES look like Filigree!!! I LOVE ANYTHING WITH FILIGREE!!! :) It just looks lacey!!!! NICE Chocolate colored pearls too!!!! :)

Hi Becca, I have been following your talent and tutorials for years and wish to express my continued appreciation and thanks! You are an artist as you sculpture cards, and a painter as use beautiful combinations! Thank you so much for your inspiration!
Beautiful. Elegant. Classy. Gorgeous. Enough said. TFS. Happy Easter.
I always love your ribbon treatments but this card is absolutely stunning without it. I love the colors. My morning routine is to get my coffee then look to see what you have to share with us for the day. I enjoy reading all the comments as well. Your fans often give a tip or ask a question that gets me thinking.
Happy Earth Day! Someone mentioned free coffee at Starbucks today but did you know they give away their grounds free every day. Wonderful stuff for the garden, conditions the soil, acid loving plants thrive on it AND the caffeine deters slugs.
Blessings Bernie
Hello Becca – thanks again for the gorgeous card! You use colors so beautifully. Easter Blessings, Jean.
I really like this. I always seems to me that I am not happy with a sense of being finished until I add a bow. Sometimes that makes me want to do something without, just to prove I don’t NEED it. I love the way you did this one. No bow needed!
This card is so gorgeous!! I think any ribbon or bow would spoil the beauty of this one! It’s perfect just the way it is!! I wish I had all these Spellbinders dies to layer this way. Oh well… at least I was able to get the Floral Doily Motifs the other day. Happy Friday, Becca!
It never ceases to amaze me how how you cont to come up with so many different ways to layer the Spellbinders shapes. Whenever I need a WOW way to show off my stamped image or my sentiment, I always think first, “What would Becca do?”
So beautiful Becca! You are amazing! I pray you have a blessed Easter!
oh Becca I just love love love these colors! Now last time you used taupe I said I was gonna go get me some taupe paer ok now I really have to run out for it!
lol–The layering is super too! thanks for sharing!
Beautiful card, you always put out your best, Becca. I believe this is the first without your signature bow, but beautiful nontheless. Have a blessed Easter. Love ya.
Becca, we have never met, but you are in my heart always. I brag about you and so look forward to your blogs/email alerts……
I only wish I were as creative as you are. I come from a very, very creative father who was a legendary animator and could never live up to him and now I am knowing you and HE would be very proud of you.
Happy Spring-
Lauren
Fabulous layering of the Spellbinders!
Tami, I could not agree more! Becca, I think I look for Spellbinders everyday, so I can add my favorites to my ever growing wish list. I love that very perfect square too. And thanks for reminding me I can color my pearls! Beautiful card, as usual!
this is Good Friday and it gives me much to be thankful for.
your card is just so elegant – love the filigree work in that yummy mocha color. praying that your Easter is blessed.
Another FABULOUS card Becca. I look forward every day to seeing what you share with us and thrive on the inspiration I receive from your work.
Thank you again, love the color combination, and yes while you didn’t have one of your famous bows on this one, I’m happy with it as most of my cards get sent in the mail and with the cost of mail on the up and up…bows end up costing more…so enjoy this inspiration and the thought for me that it would be cheaper to put in the mail. Thanks Becca!~
This card is a card for a milk chocolate candy lover, it looks like milk chocolate and is so pretty and as you said it dosen’t need a ribbon.
Jan
Great card even without the ribbon….glad you made that choice!
Hi Becca,
Wow, this is so beautiful!
I wish you a Happy Easter.

I really love your work. It is just awesome and you have truly been blessed. On June 22,2010 you posted a wedding card with a bridal shoe and a groom’s shoe. My son is getting married in June and I would love to make this card. Do you have a shoe tutorial? Have a blessed Easter.

Sandra
Beautiful Becca, I love it! You’re right, it doesn’t need a bow, you seem to always know just what to add and how. Your layering is always perfect!
This is so beautiful and feel it could be used for a man. The ribbon touches are wonderful but not really manly :) I love your work and am so glad I found your blog and more happy to find you also love the Lord. Keep up the beautiful work and your witness for our Lord. I have a pretty good supply of equipment/tools to work with but see many on your cards that I still don’t have. The 50% off coupons from Michael’s and Joann’s sure do help :)
Really think this card is beautiful. I enjoy so much all you do and am so thankful God has allowed you to be able to share your talants with all of us “creative junkies”. God bless to all……denice
