Hi there. Quick, frugal, mini – that was my goal today. Lol, I wanted to make a little gift that someone would not necessarily make for themself yet I could make it quickly and not break the bank. Well, you know how much I love the $1.00 gifts at Michaels, they are an embellishment bonanza! The little flexible lid wooden boxes are back!! They had them about 6 months ago and I picked up one but wished that I had picked up more. I took the box and covered it with design paper left over after I made four little enclosure cards to go inside.
I used a stamp set from Our Daily Bread Designs called Faith that has four sentiments. The cards are 2.75″ x 2.75″ each and the sentiments were small enough to fit just right.
The cards fit neatly inside the box and ready to give as a gift.

OMGosh….we do an altering class in the Stamping club I belong to and this is one thing we have to alter this year! What a great idea to make mini cards to include! I may just have to go and get more of these for gifts! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your creativity and inspiration!

Oh my goodness, this is sooo cute, and what a great idea for those, we never seem to be able to find a gift for. But everyone uses cards from time to time, so this is just perfect and as you say, it don´t break the bank either. You´re amazing to get all these awesome ideas always ha ha ha. I wish I had a Michael’s near me,I will have to check out the Dollar stores near me, for I know they carry boxes .Did you make envelopes to go with them ?
Becca I see you found them too. I made one with pointsettia paper and a big paper pointsettia on top for my MIL for Christmas but put a check inside instead of cards. She loved it (more the check than my creativeness) but oh well! I got lots of oohs and aahs from everyone else though. Loving your work. Look forward to it every day!

i have the same question as bonnie – what type of adhesive did you use with your paper? i have tried a number of glues but the paper bubbles sometimes. i guess i will have to try a spray adhesive.
