Well hello there! I have to say that there is nothing like getting new crafting supplies in the mail. I have new dies that have been sitting in the corner and it just makes me itch to create. Well, it just so happens that I have a couple of Thank You cards that I need to get into the mail this week so I sat down for a quick create. Even though I have a pretty hefty stash of cards to draw from, sometimes I like it that the recipient is the inspiration. I’m also using a new sentiment from Quietfire Design – I Don’t Tell You Often Enough. By the way, If you’re a picture glancer and don’t read all the text, that’s okay – me too. Just be sure you pop down to the bottom of my post – I have request :-)
Walk Through on How to Make Card
Base
This is a basic 6″ x 6″ card with a matted layer that is 5-1/2″ x 5-1/2″. To give the matted layer some texture, I cut the top of the matted layer using Spellbinders Divine Deco (please note I cut it four times to create the panel).
Focal Panel
The focal panel is cut from Spellbinders Savoy Decorative Accent with the two largest pieces in order to make it a frame. I topped the frame with the oval from Spellbinders Elegant Ovals.
Embellishment
Hands down my favorite flowers are Spellbinders Cinch and Go Flowers. Here I ‘smushed’ them around larger pearls and when totally dry, I peeled back the layers to create a simple but sweet cupped flower that anyone can make. To see more about this simple technique check out the video HERE.
Rubber Stamps: Quietfire Design – I Don’t Tell You Often Enough
Craft Paper: Neenah Classic Crest – Natural White – 80lb Smooth, The Fine Touch Metallic Poster Board
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black, Ranger Super Fine Detail Embossing Powder
Accessories: Spellbinders Divine Deco, Spellbinders Savoy Decorative Accent, Spellbinders Cinch and Go Flowers, Recollection Pearls, Satin Ribbon – The Paper SourceHave I told you have very grateful I am for the sweet folks that stop by? Well I am! I’m so loving my crafty life and getting ready to jump a little bit more out of my comfort zone – yikes!
By the way, I’m hanging out on Instagram quite often and since I can take it with me on my phone am often chatting back and forth with so many sweet readers. Won’t you join me there? You’re welcome to set up a private account and don’t have to set it up through any other app. You can find me at this link https://www.instagram.com/amazingpapergrace/. Lovely card. I do not use instagram. Have a wonderful day.
No worries Barbara, I completely understand!
Becca, I’d LOVE to talk to you on Instagram, and will set up an account for that very purpose, thank you!!!
Your blog was one of the very first I read years ago, and I fell in love with all things Becca, and I have many of your products–from your bow-maker to your kits (LOVED those!!!), and now your stamps and dies. Your taste–sublime!!! :)
A quick question, where could I buy pearls with a hole in the center so that I can get some thin metal cording to try this technique, I have this die set… :) Thanks for your help!!!
Also, what do you tend to use for your metal die-cuts? I’m not sure how thick I can go in the foiled paper I see at Hobby Lobby when I take a trip across the border. Thanks so much for your help.
I LOVE the elegance of these dies, love Art Deco style, and that Savoy die, wow!!! I always love how you take an item and stand it up on its head, so to speak, and you find a different purpose. It makes me too want to play outside the box!!!
Thank you for all of your inspiration, and for introducing me to QuietFire, that fantastic Canadian stamp company.
Joanne XX
Hi Joanne, I buy string pearls like this from Michaels and Joanns Fabrics – they normally run $1.00 – $2.00 a string. :-)
Hi Becca
I love this card so beautiful, I love the way you embellish your cards they are absolute works of art x x x
Hi Becca a very beautiful card, i have tried to use instagram several times but just cant get it secure to let me in , sigh .

So glad I stopped by! I always find something I love on your blog. Correction – I love everything I find on your blog.
Will have to investigate Instagram!

GORGEOUS AGAIN, Becca! Do you EVER do ANYTHING that isn’t “drop dead gorgeous?” LOL You are SUCH AN INSPIRATION!!! Sorry, I won’t join you on Instagram. I don’t even have one of those mobile phones. I’m SO OLD FASHIONED! LOL I let my hubby take over that area. ;) Have FUN THOUGH!!! ;)
No worries Becky. I love it that you are here :-)
My dear sweet Becka . . . Oh would I love to have you as a neighbor, but the next best thing is I follow your blog as well as instagram! There is no one who does elegant like you. So grateful that you share your talent.
Hi, Becca,
I set up an account on Instagram – JUST FOR YOU! I do not have smart phone but I am tethered to the Internet all day. It’s sunshine and smiles in my day when I hear from you so it’s my pleasure to make this connection.
This is a lovely card. When viewing your beautiful cards, I feel an urgency to get a die-cut machine, soon! I love the Quietfire stamps and will check out the new sentiments.
Thank you for this bright spot in my day.
Love and blessings, Sandy
Another adorable card and I love the sentiment on this one too!
I was excited to see you had posted yet another card this morning and what a beautiful one it is. Always love to send out a card thanking someone for any sweet gesture of thoughtfulness. Besides Birthday cards, I seem to always need a Thank You card handy and ready to go and this one truly is beautiful.
Love the saying and the card…sorry I’m old school and do all stuff, email works great..please don’t stop thar or videos I can see on here too! Pretty please! I would be heart broke if you quit the reg way…question, why do u cut some things 3 times or more, I know it’s just paper …but it wouldn’t want to waste that much, couldn’t u use heavy cardboard, can’t think what it’s called…and then put the pretty paper on top of it? Have to watch the budget anyway I can….thanks fir sharing …
Oh my gosh Becca this is soooo beautiful. I absolutely LOVE the white and gold and just a little splash of colors on the gorgeous bow. You just know, how to make things look sooo elegant.
So sorry I haven´t been much around and commented lately, but have had to run a lot in and out of hospital again here, so haven´t had much time for being online, I´m afraid.
Unfortunately I´m a total jerk, when it comes to electronic devices, so I´m not on Instagram, and I don´t have much time left for these things either, I haven´t even got my own blog updated for many months, so don´t think, I can handle anymore than I already try to do, but glad you get to chat with many of your lovely followers there. Would love to chat with you, but can´t overlook more, sorry.
Hi Becca, Such a lovely card–up to your usual standards of understated elegance, style, and class. I don’t have all the dies but enough to duplicate the look. Many thanks. This gal only emails. That’s as high tech as I can go–don’t facebook or any other of the social media and until today it didn’t bother me but I do wish I could join your chat group. I’ll be with you and your followers in spirit. Barbara
Hi Becca,
Beautiful card, your cards are so elegant. Don’t know anything about instagram so I will just bumble along in my own ‘don’t know much about social media’ way with your blog.
Thank you
Rene from OZ xx
Another beauty from you, Becca and what joy the the recipient of this card will have.
Hi Becca, another great card. I would love to talk to you on Instagram but I have a cell phone just does not do anything but calls.
Beautiful design! Your cards are always so elegant & inspiring. Glad to find you on Instagram — personally, I think I use that more often than Facebook.
Me too Carol, I’m rarely on FB. I find the community on Instagram kind and uplifting – so glad you are there!
Hi Becca. Love your stunning card, and the little flowers are gorgeous. Following you on Instagram and love to see your beautiful creations there too :-) Hugs xxx
Beautiful as ever! I have been following you for so many years. You are truly blessed and an amazing teacher. Have so much of your product….always looking for “Becca” designed products cause it will always make a beautiful project. I especially love your boxes!!!!!
Becca, what a beautiful card, just love quiet fire stamps and script.
I don’t do instagram it worries me but I do love seeing what our do and its always fantastic to get new dies and our do so well with them.
Hugs Trish
Wowza! That is a gorgeous card!!! It is so elegant. The white and gold are just luscious together. THank you for the inspiration.
Off I go to Instagram to see what you’ve been up to over there!
Welcome to Instagram! See you over there!
I a grateful every day for the glory of the lord to let me be here on this earth for another day
GORGEOUS card and saying Love love love it
Hi Becca. As always, a truly stunning card. I don’t do any social media – too intrusive for me. All the rest of the family are on Facebook but my husband and I have resisted and are simply not interested in knowing every detail of daily life of “friends” Old fashioned maybe but……..
Doreen R from Bournemouth UK
Nothing wrong with being old-fashioned Doreen. I am too :-)
Beautiful card, Becca.
I don’t have Instagram or any other social media but it was nice that I could go to the link and look. You have the loveliest cards.
Becca, I have never done Instagram. I’m just now figuring out u-tube. But I would love very much to win one of your cards, and so very honored. I love your work, your dies and Spellbinders. Especially the Art Deco dies. They are so classy. Thanks for your site. God bless.
Myra, keep jumping in on Day of Giving Friday – keeping my fingers crossed for you sweet pea!
Hello there! It’s been a while since I commented but I always look at and read your wonderful blog posts! I love your card today! I really need to check out Quietfire Designs as I really love the sentiments I’ve seen you use! I already follow you on Instagram as c.ann.h. I can’t wait to see what’s taking you outside your comfort zone! One of my favorite quotes is “life begins at the end of your comfort zone”! Enjoy the journey!!
Aha! I knew it! So glad you are over there Carol! It’s easy to track comments and respond over there!
Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous!! I recently joined IG. Happy to know you’re there too so I can get a double dose of your work!! Yeah!
Your cards are always so elegant Becca. This is a beauty. Thanks for sharing.
This is so beautiful!! Do love how you do the gold and white together. Hopefully one day I can get a printer so I can copy my dies and foil them. Would actually be perfect for my parents 50th anniversary next year…but if I can’t get one by then, I’m sure I’ll figure out something to do that has gold on it. :-))
An elegant card today. I like these “Art Deo” dies. Your Clinch and Go flowers are wonderful. I finally have this set of dies now, but have not used them yet. I re-watched your “How to” video on making these Clink & Go flowers. You do these with such ease. And you were brilliant to think of designing this set with so many sizes of petal layers, adding the calyx, and the vine looking flourish. You truly put a lot of thought into what you want when designing your sets. Thank you Becca for sharing with us your clever ideas!
Oh thanks so much SuzzieQ. This is music to my ears as I have just designed another collection – these last three weeks. It keeps me quiet for a while and I’m a slow designer but I spend a lot of time making sure things will work with dies you’ve already bought, building in value and making sure the dies are sized appropriately :-)
I love the fact that you do take your time as so many creators and makers these days have forgotten the lost art of becoming a Master Craftsman these days and that is what you remind me of :) Do not change a thing.

I just wish I had some of your dies and a machine so I can make some cards. I want to make one for my father who has Dementia and is a nursing home thousands of miles away from me while I sit here suffering from very painful illnesses and unable to visit him. I did finally speak with him on the phone last week and it was beautiful, forgiving, laughter filled and tear filled but such a huge release of a burden I never realized I had been carrying since I was age 5 and I just turned 44. All I can say is that God is so good all the time, Amen.
Love your elegant thank you. It is so beautiful
Kathleen
I love this card so much!!!! It is so regal and elegant and just perfect.

I am already following you on instagram :) my handle is ffpaws.
Hi Becca, another gorgeous card wish I could do Instagram don’t know might check it out.
Nancyd xx
Love this gorgeous card, Becca! The cream and gold color scheme is always a favorite of mine. I’m sorry I’m not on Instagram. Perhaps one day!
My hubby is in ICU at Mayo in Minnesota. We traveled here from our home in Arizona for his open heart surgery yesterday. It’s difficult to be away from home during this type of thing but I’m thankful to have my daughter with me and Gene is a bit better tonight after a rough time. The surgery was a success but recovery a bit slow. All prayers are appreciated.
Hi Becca,
WOW! This is a stunner and I adore those Art Deco dies, they are exquisite, definitely top of my list.
I am so happy things are going right for you at the moment.
Have a lovely weekend
Love & hUgs

I love this blog have not got to Instagram or facebook not that keen I
am a bit cautious and a tad old fashioned . Hugs PAM XXX
Hi Becca! I have that same itch, too!
After perusing your Day of Giving Friday’s, I’m at a loss for words. So many beauties and so little time! You are so adored and appreciated for what you bring to our tables of plenty.
God Bless you and keep you,
Sara
PS Unfortunately, I have to draw the line somewhere so I’m not part of Instagram. Why? Well, I’d never get anything done.
Great card Becca! Love that you’ve ventured out and joined IG. You being there may just be the impetus to make me take the plunge. I thought it was for pictures only. As you can see I’m not up on all the tech that’s available. There’s too much of it. I don’t do selfies or expose my daily life, but would love chatting with you. Must do some diligent research about security first though! Time is such a valuable commodity. It’s use must yield great returns, and I’ve gotten that from your blog. I really enjoy the beauty, comradery, education, and information I’ve found there; so I chose to stop here as time permits.
Wow Becca,
Is this beautiful or what? Although I am not into the Deco themes that have recently returned, I really do like what you do with it. Am not planning on buying those dies, just yours! Not used to seeing you use gold ribbon but like the way it looks!!!
I am not into the Instagram thingy and only check Pinterest as I want. It takes too much time away from “creating.” I did go there and enjoyed seeing all your “beauties!”

Exquisitely elegant!
Beautiful card! I love the background die used on the bottom matted section. And…as always…I LOVE LOVE LOVE your ribbon and Cinch and Go Flowers! I have the CandG dies finally and just started playing with them yesterday. So easy to use! Someday I will get as good as you on the ribbon making front! lol.
Good morning Becca, oh Becca I wouldn’t know where to start with instagram!!! It takes me all my time to do this : ) fab card as usual!!!
Have a good one!!!

Hello Becca,
Your card, as usual, is stunning. Thank you.
Now, I don’t know what Instagram is. Do you actually talk like on the telephone, or do you write talk, if you know what I mean. Here’s hoping this old dog can learn some new tricks lol.

Hi Becca. Fab card as always. Sorry but I don’t do social media of any type. It’s my policy. I don’t want to spend my life attached to a screen for most of it. It’s a conscious decision on my part. Please don’t stop blogging! Talking of which I haven’t had an email saying you blogged this post or the last post last week for some odd reason? I had them before and I haven’t changed anything as far as I know. Perhaps others haven’t either I am thinking?…….. happy weekend
Hi Becca, A very stunning and very elegant card, your cards are always stunning.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
Hi Becca,
This card is stunning as always. I have a heap of your dies now & am itching to find time & make some beautiful cards.
They are easy to use & versatile.
I just noticed on your comments that you have just finished designing another collection, ooh I can’t wait! Lol you are gonna send me broke! But totally worth it haha. Hope they are out before Christmas so that I can hint to my hubby & kids.
I don’t have Instagram as I am not one who shares pics on social media. I am a bit weary when it comes to sharing photos for security reasons. Even on Facebook it’s always minimal. Maybe I will get it one day, at this stage not sure.
Is what you post on Instagram the same as what is on your blog? Or do you post other things as well?
Have a lovely week :)
Hi Becca
I am now on Instagram and now following you, lovely selection of cards wish I had yr talent X X X
