Two cards in one day? Yes, I’ve been creating! I hope you’re off to a good weekend – I wanted to hop in and share something that popped into my mind for a simple Thank You card. Earlier in the week I made a card using the new Spellbinders™ Les Papillion and since I had not used the dies before, I cut all four butterflies at once. It left me with a sheet with four negative holes and I thought hmmmm, I wonder if that will make a good card front. Well I did go back and tidy things up to give it a try. Yep, this is simple. To keep things straight and tidy, I cut my square layers using Spellbinders™ Grand Squares then cut the butterflies next. I then tied a center crossing bow and I finished off by hanging a tiny tag from the bow using Spellbinders™ S4-367 Back to Basics Tags.

Beautiful! Love the colors you chose, the papers you used- and of course I love the butterflies! So neat to be able to make something beautiful out of the negative space.
I love the idea of making a gorgeous card simply. I noticed that you outlined the butterflies while the die was still in the paper. GREAT idea. The paper combination makes the butterflies POP and the bow ties it all up together for a beautiful Thank You card.

This is great and masculine also. Thanks!!!
I love your card…I love butterflies too!!
I’ve got some similar dies so I will try this…hope you don’t mind if I use your idea for inspiration.
Love it :)
God made some great creatures that inspire us to create more beauty for the world, didn’t He? The grace and fragility of a butterfly has me loving them as a favorite creature!
Omigosh! The butterfly card is fabulous! How did you do the outline of the butterflies around the negative space? Or did that just happen with the dies?
What a fabulous idea – executed to perfection as always!
