Good morning friends! Long story short, this year I look forward to savoring every minute of Christmas and the traditions I love. Even though Christmas card making goes year round and starts in earnest in July, it still whizzes by. I tickled myself this weekend because the Christmas tree seems like it just came down a couple of months ago and I went out into storage and brought it back in so that I can go ahead and set it up. That’ll be a first for me. I’m lucky if I can ever have it up by mid December. So again today a Christmas Card using a sweet sentiment from Quietfire Design – Tiny Christmas Wishes and set off by lovely new Spellbinders Lattice Ornaments. I added a header to the card using Spellbinders A2 Curved Borders Two, the small sentiment fit perfectly
Don’t overlook opportunities to add subtle texture by using a tone on tone diecut background where a color slipped underneath gives a little pop of color. Instead of using a different color underneath, Spellbinders Basic Lattice gave me to opportunity to add a new look by weaving gold threads for a textured background. I love that the lattice in the background works well with the ornaments – and I love that adding a little bit of color changes the look, every time, for a classic die from my stash.
Rubber Stamps: Quietfire Design – Tiny Christmas Wishes
Craft Paper: Neenah Classic Crest 80lb Smooth – Natural White. Gold Foil Paper (The Fine Touch Metallic Posterboard – Hobby Lobby)
Ink: Versamark and Gold Embossing Powder
Accessories: Spellbinders Lattice Ornaments, Spellbinders A2 Curved Borders Two, Spellbinders Basic Lattice, The Paper Studio Pearls and Gems, Button
Seriously, I want a no pressure count down to Christmas this year. Yep, I think I’m in the mood to leisurely create and I hope I’ll be able to create some handmade gifts this year. One can always hope, right? Happy Monday friends :-)
Hello Becca
Lovely card today, such a tiny sentiment..in UK with say Christmas not Holiday, thats the only difference, along with other different spellings !
Can’t believe the year has gone so quickly either ,I have noticed its getting dark earlier at night though!
Still a lovely card to copy ..thanks for showing such a beautiful card Becca!

Hi Becca,
Thank you for such a beautiful creation once again. Yes this year has flow by so fast. I can’t wait to try my hand at making Christmas cards this year. I love traditional cards with the Nativity. Itreminds
WOW, Becca! The tree? Really? I guess I should do the same as I want to make ornaments this year and haven’t started. Perhaps having a bare tree staring at me will provide some much needed inspiration!
Beautiful card! I love gold and cream (here natural white) – so elegant. May I ask the source of the gold thread/ribbon?
*it reminds me how greatful I am for all the blessings my family has x
Loving you Christmas card Becca, the Gold through the trellis is just awesome /
God Bless

Hi Becca. Love the threaded lattice look. Not in the C card making mood yet myself. Currently working on a mixed media project for my local village show in September. Hope it turns out OK! TFS
Absolutely Gorgeous, love the threading of the gold trim, great shape to the ornaments!
WAUW Becca this is soo so beautiful. I absolutely love your golden productions every time. Will you share what kind of golden cardstock or paper you´re using? I´ve been looking around over here but can´t find anything that looks soo elegant and blank as yours. Most we can get here is looks like it nededs a good polish LOL, but yours always looks sooo fabulous and amazing, so would really like to know, what brand and kind you´re using for your stunning cards. Then I can maybe also get to make such gorgeous christmascards too.
Good morning dear Becca,
This is one beautiful Christmas card. I believe I have all the dies for this one!!Yeah! Doesn’t especially mean it would look exactly like yours but can give it a Girl Scout try! Love it.
Going to be a very busy week and election next Tuesday. Wish me luck, will be over soon. Working very hard and know with God’s luck it will pay off.
Hugs my friend,
Mstgane

A gorgeous Christmas card Becca. The lattice baubles are beautiful. My tree goes up about 10 days before Christmas and is down on Twelfth Night. It’s a tradition from childhood which I have followed. I love how everybody has such different ideas. Christine xx
Hi Becca, another stunning card, I think anyone would love to receive this, I know I would.

What a gorgeous card! I love the white and gold, different textures and the spot of color on the holly. As for getting my Christmas tree out…I can’t even think about it. It takes me forever to get it out, but I take it down, right after January 1st. Thank you, for inspiring us, every day! Joy and blessings!

This is really beautiful Becca- love the elegant look of gold and white
Beautiful! Congrats on getting the Christmas Tree out and ready to decorate at your hearts pace. No stress and time to enjoy the process. It may be hot here, but a cup of hot chocolate (with marshmallows) looking at the lights is such magic. Cheers to your first cuppa :)) Sending hugs.
Beautiful card. I love the gold woven thru the lattice. I have some small think gold braid…if I can finish my jam for the fair…I might try some Card making for Christmas
Love the gold threads woven into the lattice.
Beautiful card.
thanks for sharing.
Marry Christmas
It is beautiful!! thank you for sharing.
Hi Becca,
What a lovely Xmas card, like how you put the ribbon through the lattice it give it more texture.
Beautiful card, Becca. I now know what to do with these dies that I bought. Thank you very much.
Am loving the gold with natural white – and the threading through the lattice die. So elegant!
As a child our tree always went up the weekend after my brother’s birthday (12th) so that he had his special time first – and despite being several decades later, that tradition has kind of stuck in my mind. As we have a fir tree, any earlier and we chance having a slightly bald tree by Twelfth Night!
But I look forward to hearing your decoration progress!
Hugs

Good morning Becca, Your Christmas card is stunning today. You get such beauty and depth in your cards. Certainly you have a God given talent for design. I enjoy your creations so much. Each of your cards inspire me. Wishing you a blessed and wonderful week!
I’m speechless. Your mind must never stop! Another gorgeous card by the very talented and very generous Becca. Thank you.
Very beautiful and elegant. I counted yesterday and I have 50 Christmas cards. Ta da!
Love your card today. Very elegant. Thank you for you inspirations.
Gorgeous card design, Becca! Love the gold & white colors with that luscious texture from the die cuts. You sure have this die-cut layering down pat. I love this look but struggle trying to make my own.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful work. I am still inspired, just trying to use my own stash to recreate some of these ideas. With difficulty. Lol
Hi Becca, Again lovely application of new and old dies. Somehow when you do it, it all fits. Thanks for a look a bit different.
The beauty continues with your cards. Barbara
Gorgeous card. I have not started Christmas cards yet but have so much inspiration from the cards you do. I recently bought some Quietfire stamps all because I see what you do with them. Thank you for sharing.
Gorgeous holiday card; love the weaving effect. Too funny – on getting your Christmas tree out. I’ve often thought of leaving it decorated (fake tree) and cover it in storage so it’ll be ready when I bring it upstairs. Hubby says, “No, we don’t need to do that; I’ll help you.” Maybe next year……
Another beautiful card. I love the weaving and would like to do some of that. Yes, it’s time already to plan making Christmas cards although I usually start the end of September.
Beautiful card love the layering and the gold is perfect. thanks
Gorgeous. This is absolutely gorgeous! I love everything about it. Thank you for sharing it, Becca!
Gorgeous, Becca! Not anywhere near starting Christmas cards yet – but you are inspiring me! Love the lattice look and the new ornaments – just a lovely card all around! Thanks!
Hi Becca. I love todays Christmas card, and the weaving on the background is a great idea :-) Hugs xxx

I’m definitely not ready to start thinking about decorating for Christmas but if I were to try to make cards of this caliber, I’d have to start today. This is so beautiful. I like how you wove the ribbon through the lattice. I have that die but just realized that I have no idea where it’s at. Way too many toys, I guess.

A beautiful card, Becca.

I can’t believe it. As soon as I was able to get an email through to you, every thing worked. Isn’t that always the way it is.
I love your card. It is beautiful as is all of your work.
Beautiful once again! I don’t know how you can come up with such inspiring cards time after time! I love the woven ribbon.
Hello Becca. I attended a crop this weekend and started making my first batch of Christmas cards. It felt so good to finally get started on them so I really appreciated your inspiring card for today! It is over the top gorgeous. Thanks for sharing such a beautiful design with us.

I’ll bet having a Christmas tree up will really inspire more beautiful Christmas cards. This one is really gorgeous.
What a wonderful strategy! I always run out of time at the holidays to do the things I’d like once the Christmas spirit starts to inspire me. Whatever your motivation, I hope you have the experience you’re dreaming of.

Dear Becca, what a pretty card. I am with you on starting early. I have 30 cards already in my Christmas pile. And have already ordered and received a new tree this year replacing our old one of 15 years. Last year was very hectic trying to get all my cards done so I vowed to start early in July and it has paid off so I won’t be as rushed starting the Holiday Season. HUGS

Yes time does fly doesn’t it ,when I put my tree away this year I told my husband, before you know it’s out again,he laughed and said come on that’s a whole year!! We’re not far off.
