Hi there blog friends!! I’m back with a card and and a video. I am head over heels in love with new paper from The Girls Paperie – you’re probably going to see bits and pieces of this for a while. Aren’t you glad I’m not hoarding it? My card today uses a sweet stamp set that I’ve had my eyes on for a long time from Flourishes called From the Desk Of. It has a vintage feel and it it’s oh, so elegant. I decided to pair it with the shabby chic look of the Girls Paperie paper and water color using some sultry colors from my Distressed Inks. The video is a variation of a technique I’ve already shown but I think it’s easier – I’ve settled on another way to do the rolled Scor-Tape flowers and it’s quicker. I’ve experimented with this a bit and I have a whole basket full of those flowers now, lol!!
I cut my image from Spellbinders Classic Ovals LG and smudged with Vintage Photo Distress Ink while the paper was still in the die. I then backed my image with Spellbinders Lacey Ovals. I spread three ribbons across the card and cinched them with a double Peg Bow on the right side of the car. To secure the ribbon, I cut out a notch on the left side of the card and the ribbon fits perfectly, then I accented the notch with an element from Spellbinders Parisian Motifs.
SUPPLIES I USED |
Stamps: Flourishes – From the Desk Of
Paper: Girls Paperie, The Paper Company, Ink: Stazon Black, Versafine Onyx Black, Vintage Photo Distress Ink Accessories: Spellbinders Lacey Ovals, Spellbinders Classic Ovals LG, Spellbinders Parisian Motifs, Ribbon, Pearls, Circle Punch |
Okay, on to the video that covers a slight variation on the Scor-Tape Flower:

Hi, Becca, I missed the first video but I get the idea and I never would have thought it would be so simple. Thanks for figuring out the mechanics for us followers. You are the best! Hugs and blessings, Jeannie
I know, I’ve said this before, but you make the most beautiful cards and projects. I just so love viewing your blog and bow videos, thank you for taking the time to share.
Beautiful, Becca. I will try both your techniques. They are both very useful depending on the size of the card and whether I am mailing the card or not. Would you provide the length and width of your tool for wrapping the ribbon? It look to be either 1/2″ or 1″.
Hi Becca!!!!
Thanks for the update on the scor-tape flower! LOOKS GREAT!!!!!
I chose the rubber with cling mount on your poll! Just something about that RED RUBBER!!!!!!!!!!!! lol

Thanks for another wonderful tutorial. I am not sure whether you have explained how you do those gorgeous pearl flourishes, but I would love to hear you secret for getting the placed so perfectly. TIA
Beautiful roses. You make it look so easy. I can’t wait to try it. I am new to your blog and I love your work. Thanks for sharing.
Your card is beautiful, as usual and thanks for the tutorial on the bow making. It looks pretty easy and want to try it soon. Edna
Becca…yet another fantastic video. I’m going to try this one….the bow is very, very pretty. You make it look easy….I’m hoping for someone with 10 thumbs it will be manageable….agiain, thanks for all you do.
I actually also like the little detail at the end of the ribbon ends.
I guess that’s what you call those…anyway, it looks like a small
fleur di le (? spelling) with a pearl in the center. How ingenious!
Such a small detail makes such a big difference:)
Beautiful Becca, I have a question what type of ribbon work best for this project? I look forward to what God have inspired you to do each day and I am always amazed at what you come up with. Beautiful work!!
Wow this ribbon flower is so-o-o-o easy. I just made one. Thanks for both videos! . If anyone doesn’t have the Cutterpede track you used to wind the ribbon an Omnigrid 1″ x 12″ quilting ruler works perfectly
PS the card is great too :)
amazingly beautiful!
Gorgeous card! Like the new scor-tape flower. Like the little center bud and the looser configuration.

Becca, your ribbon bows are Awesome. Even done a couple myself. So, so easy.
Tried to make one using lace but that didn’t work as my tape wouldn’t stick to the lace so I may have to try and do something different. Back to the drawing board.
Thank U 4 such a fantastic tutorial on these.
Colleen
I know, I’m a bit behind in posting comment, but been busy outside with my irises.
Oh, Becca one more thing.
I do wish your Amazing Quotes where at the top of the page or on the right hand side instead of way at the bottom so that it would be one of the first things seen when coming to your blog. I do miss not seeing the quotes at the top.
