Happy Easter sweet friends. Blessing go out to you and yours as we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. He is risen!
I pulled together a small quick card that celebrates with a simple Hallelujah. I hope you are celebrating surrounded by friends and family!
For many of you who have followed me for years, today is John’s birthday. It carries a different significance for me than the days when it was tangled with the pain of grief. Yes, there is still grief but I smile and feel warm inside as I think of him today. He’s been on my mind much lately as I can now open his notes, his wallet, his calendar and other things that have been set aside for years – they were like Kryptonite to me. This week I read special notes he made on my birthday and our anniversary, thoughts flood in. I’m not gifted in florals at all, but I created a beautiful arrangement for him earlier this week. As Easter arrives I’m reminded, joyfully, that life is more powerful than death.

Beautifully stated, Becca. And I agree. The initial grief changes, thankfully, into poignant remembrances that we learn to treasure. What a perfect day to point that out to us. Thank you so much!

The pain of losing someone is great, but the release and joy of getting past the initial grief is a wonderful thing! Hugs to you!
This card is beautiful! Yes, Becca! Life is more powerful than death! My grandmother passed away during this month and it has taken me many years to turn my mourning into a deep joy…a deep joy of having the chance to have her in my life for so many wonderful years. We miss our loved-ones, but we are blessed to have experienced their love. Many blessings and a thankful Resurrection Day!
Another beautiful card made by a beautiful, awesomely wonderful lady. I loved your last comment – I needed to hear that as I was mourning the loss of my loved ones. What a wonderful reminder, thank you.

Happy easter to you – indeed another lovely card and I adore that filigree frame. What do they say – something like ‘better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all’. Sending you best wishes.

Lovely card Becca! Love how you cut the base card and love the flower treatment! Hope you are well.
Becca, thanks for sharing the always lovely card with us today. It was so good to read this particular post on today of all days. I’m so thankful for you, that time has eased your pain a mite, as it is so true that Everlasting Life has such power over Death. You had a wonderful gift in having John with you on earth for the years that you had, but I’m sure you know by now, that he is still with you…just in another way. It’s good you can relive the precious times with the notes & cards, and know that you’ll be together again in God’s own time. Hugs & Blessings. Happy Easter
Absolutely gorgeous!

Happy Easter, Becca, from Ireland. Another wonderful card. God Bless you and your beautiful work. Aiveen.
Hello Becca
Such a beautiful card and wonderful memories coming back to you!
Tomorrow is my birthday, also the Queen!
Not everyone looks on Easter as a time for reflection….. my friends think of Easter eggs, and time off work….. how times change, not necessarily for the better !
Still each to their own !
Thinking of you Becca and hoping you find comfort reading your Husbands letters!
Take care
Love Marg
Happy Easter Becca,

Praise God, He is alive forever more. Be blessed.
God Bless You! His is Risen indeed.
Happy Easter, Becca, and grace and peace to you. Thank you for sharing this card – and more – sharing yourself.
God gives us time to heal, and each heals at their own pace. He blessed you with someone whom you obviously loved – and sometimes it’s hard to know why He takes them away when we aren’t ready. Yet, we know through the Risen Savior that this life is only a moment, and that your John is now out of pain, free of grief and sorrow, and serving the Master.
May this Easter bring you joy as you celebrate our life eternal, and peace as you can enjoy the memories without the intense pain.
He is Risen in deed. One day he will come and we will be with our love ones…Gods blessing to you and your fam.
Beautiful, love the blue color! Hugs go out to you :)
Happy Easter Becca! Have loved your exquisite cards for many years now and it is even more delightful to know that this is an expression of who God made you to be! Hallelujah! He is risen indeed! Maranatha, Lord Jesus! Barbara McE / Auckland New Zealand
Hi Becca. Happy Easter from New Zealand. Your card is beautiful. I so relate to you and the pain and sorrow that you went through with John. I lost my husband 16years ago and the helplessness that you feel watching him suffer was awful. But they are both pain free now and that is a blessing. Our children were 16, 14 and 11 and they suffered a lot with the loss. But 16 years on we have lots of wonderful memories and bouts of sadness when a milestone happens and he is not there to share like graduation and grandchildren. Becca enjoy the wonderful memories, have a great Easter and happy birthday to John.
Beautiful cards, beautiful memories. Hugs!
Christ is risen, that is the hope we as Christians have, and because of it we too will rise! You will see your John at some point, but best of all we will see Christ. Idon’t care how quick that card was, it is beautiful! Blessings, Lisa
Bless you, Becca. You are such an inspiration to me. happy Birthday to John and I know that he watches over you and is so proud of all that you do!
God Bless, and may you enjoy a very peaceful life
As always a beautiful card.
I am so glad that you are not relieving the sadness
of John departing for heaven.
It is always comforting to read the things our love
ones leave behind for us. May God bless you
special today & every day.
With love.
It has been one blessed Easter week for me and my family. We enjoyed some quality time together and it was wonderful! I understand completely how you feel about the loss of your loved one, it took me 2 years after my father’s passing to be where you are now. It’s a blessing to embrace those memories that now represent the joy of the time you shared together and the eternal hope of reuniting again. Jesus is risen and we’ll rise too on that glorious day! What a beautiful card Becca! A word that represents all His glory on Heaven and Earth, so much to be thankful for… Hallelujah!
Hi Becca,
Your card is just lovely. Happy Easter to you and your family and friends at work.
What a beautiful card and tribute to your John!
Beautiful sentiments for your husband John. :-) I’m so glad that today you are able to you feel the happiness in the memories of what you both shared, and less of the grief. Time helps to change those tears of sadness to tears of happiness in the blessings we were given by their life. God only loans us the special people in our life with the promised Joy of meeting them again someday!! Praise God for the gift of His son so we can live eternally together!
Happy Easter to you and your family Becca!
Blessings to you on this Easter. It is hard losing a loved one. The pain never goes away but it gets easier as time goes on.
Another lovely card from you today Becca. Happy Easter to you and your family and how meaningful that Easter falls on John’s birthday this year as a reminder that he isn’t really gone, but an angel in heaven with our Father and creator/
Becca,I have tried to faithfully follow your posts and photos. However I was taken up with home duties and the loss of my hubby #2 that went to the arms of our Savior in June of this year. Also it was my second dear husband to go to be with the Lord. I so understand your grief. But we both know when He closes one He not only is carrying us but so soon the sun shines again again one day. May God bless you as YOU bless us with your talents. With love in His Name.

Amen Sweet Becca, Amen! Your post brought a smile and a tear as I too remembered your love of John and your grief at his loss. As so often happens, when we lose a loved one, there comes a time when we are finally able to smile and even laugh when we remember them. It’s 44 years since I lost my dad and there are still times when I cry from missing him. But there are times when I smile or even laugh at some memories of him, and the times we had together. Now, so many years later, I’ve even had a big, belly laugh as I remembered some of the stories that we told about him. One of my favorite is when I was but two or three and my mom and dad were not married yet, (he was my step dad), when we were in KY at my moms sister’s house and he experienced his first out house! City boy don’t you know! lol Well, he got up in the night and made the trip to ‘the little house’ (as he called it). When he opened the door there were a dozen pair of red eyes staring back at him. He just knew he’d been confronted with demons! He woke the whole house when he came running back in! You can imagine his reaction when they told him some of the chickens roosted there if they could get in… So, Fred, remember to latch the door when you come out! LOLOLOL It still makes me laugh out loud!
Dad went home on Palm Sunday morning. With the sun streaming in on him as he lay there. Yes I still cry, but more often now, I remember his chuckle and the gleam in his eyes, and smile happily at the memory of it.
I hope that now you are able to smile, first, when you remember John. And if not now… soon.
Happy Easter and yes, HE IS RISEN!!!
Hugs, Jess

We lost our first child at just a few months old; we had no Lord at that time to ease and comfort and give hope and new sight. It was another ten years before we knew the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. He alone put healing salve on those terrific memories. Yes, grief is always there but as you said so beautifully expressd here, that the loss is no longer crippling or paralyzing. Only the love of God can do such a thing as exchange hope for sorrow. The amazing thing about it all now is that I know soon when that last trumpet has sounded in a split second I will see my precious daughter. Oh He has risen indeed! Just a beautiful card to share on this day. Thank you.
Blessings to you and yours as we celebrate Christ and his wonderful gift.
God bless you Becca, you are such an amazing and generous person. I am so very glad that you can now think of your John with a quiet joy of having shared your life with him.
Your card is absolutely divine – but then all yours are beautiful.
ONE OF THESE DAYS I shall have a go at the filigree hinge…
A truly happy Easter to you.
Hugs, Rose
Happy Easter!
What a beautiful card Becca. Thanks for sharing with us all your gifts of creativity and your moments of real life. We are truly blessed to know you through your work. Blessing to you.
My thoughts are with you as you are now able to remember the happy and not so happy times of your life.I pray you feel comfort in knowing your loved one is in the care of our Risen Savior.
May you always feel God at your side.
The card is breath taking.
God bless you.
Beautiful card.
Yahoo was hacked again and I have been unable to get on my computer.
Morning Becca, He is Risen indeed, Alleluia !! I have spent more time at Church this week than at home, but our Services have been beautiful, albeit very emotional too.
Your card is really lovely, and thank you for sharing your beautiful creations and also an incite into your life. Grief is something that never goes away, but as the years go by it does get easier to cope with, I lost both my Sons, one in 1987 and the other in 1994 and it is still really upsetting even now. My heart goes out to you, Becca.
Lots of love and hugs from Patricia xx
Good evening Becca,
isn’t it funny how there are certain things that you just remember automatically, the Lord’s Prayer being one of them. This is a staple from my childhood and even yet that i come back to so many times. I love the card you have made for us today because of the good memories that you have brought back to me. All i can say about your beloved John is that if you keep him in your heart and mind, no one can ever take away the memories that you had together, that you shared, the happiness and laughter that surrounded you both. I am glad that you have reached a point that you can now look through his things and bring a small smile to your heart.
Love and crafty hugs
Norah (Glenochil, Scotland)
May God continue to guide you in your life journey. Thank you for sharing.
Hi Becca
Your cards are all stunning! I think I will run out of ways to describe how beautiful they are. Your attention to detail is amazing. Belated Birthday wishes to John, glad you can read some of his notes now and I hope your Easter went ok. Big virtual hugs to you, best wishes Jennifer:-)
HE’s alive and HE reigns forever and ever. Thank you for sharing this beautiful card with us. Blessings to you.
Dear Becca
Love your card and was just wondering how you managed to do the double filigree die on both side – have I missed this. you have probably shown this before.
My first mother–in-law died on Mother’s Day here in England and although her son and I broke up approximately 25 years ago we decided to remain friends and family. I had known her for 35 years and she has always been supportive of me. I saw her on the day she died and am missing her. I take comfort from a saying that would be great if you could put this on your next sentiment stamp design (hint hint) ‘ Do not be sad because he/she is gone but be happy that they lived’. As you think about John and all the happy memories that you had be happy that you and the rest of his family and friends were there to share them with him. Blessings are given to us all in abundance we just need to open our eyes and see.
Blessing to you
Regards
Careen
What a beauty!
Hi Becca,
Just like to say I have only followed your blog this pass year. But when I read about your lovely hubby, tears filled my eyes. My hubby was diagnosed with throat cancer Jan 2011 given a 50, 50 chance of survival, he is still here, bless him, the surgeon has said it is unlikely to return. We never know what is around the corner, but your beautiful cards are an inspiration to me. My crafting has kept me going over the last few years. Friends and family has been so supported. Thank you so much for your creations. God bless you.
Love Jan xx
