Hello It’s Me

Hi there blog friends – yes, I’m still here.  It’s been a challenging month and I have not felt well; being under the weather kept me away for a bit!  I have two new cards today and new dies to show and you know that makes my heart sing!  I hope you can peek in for a minute – I’ve been missing you all.  The first card I’m sharing has a little bit of a vintage flavor.  I used a faux batik technique to highlight the beautiful Embroidered Background Stamp by JustRite Papercrafts.  So many people have shared this technique online so do a google to get the basics.  I took the clean way out and instead of spritzing or using anything wet, I simple used daubers to put color where I wanted before covering and ironing off the embossing powder – I think it gives a subtle, random, aged coloring.  Then of course a layered up a group of dies!  On the bottom I started with JustRite Nested Medallion Label Dies, then stacked Spellbinders™ Vintage Lace Motifs followed by Spellbinders™ Classic Circles SM, followed by JustRite Antique Label One and finally JustRite Antique Tags One.  I separated each layer with thin foam tape and really, the build up is not too much.

I added some pearls and eyelet lace that I distressed a little bit with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

SUPPLIES I USED
Stamps: JustRite Papercrafts – Embroidered Background Stamp
Paper: Bazzill, Neenah Classic Crest Cream 80lb
Ink: Amuse Nutmeg, Victorian Velvet Distress Ink, Vintage Photo Distress Ink
Accessories:  JustRite Nested Medallion Label DiesJustRite Antique Label One, JustRite Antique Tags OneSpellbinders™ Vintage Lace Motifs, Spellbinders™ Classic Circles SM, seam binding,  Recollections Pearls, Want2Scrap Finesse Swirls Pearls, eyelet lace, Glimmer Mist – Cork

Adding again to my Christmas stash, I used the O Christmas Tree stamp from Our Daily Bread Designs.  I paired it with a wonderful new Spellbinders™ Medallion Five die template.  Love! Love! Love!!  I embellished the bottom of the card with Spellbinders™ Asian Accents  and Spellbinders™ Classic Edges One and offset the scallops and finished off with a a tiny oval tag from Spellbinders™ Back to Basics Tags.
