Oh, I hope this isn’t getting old, but there’s another winner. It will only take a second to click over and see if it’s you!! By the way, let me ‘splain why there’s so much paper to go around. I really liked the Prima and the Girls Paperie but the paper can’t be purchased as single sheets – I was able to get it in packages of 12. Well, you know me, I tend to hoard. There is no way I’ll use all 12 sheets of these collections so I’m also determined that I won’t let it sit on my shelf until it’s discontinued and no longer attainable either. Stay tuned, I”m using mine and giving the rest away!!
Okay, so back to the other winner. On April 20th when I did the add on, I also offered an extra set of buttons to people who left a comment that day between 6pm and midnight. I’ve pulled a number from those comments and here it is. Please reach out to me through my contact page and send me your address so I can get the buttons in the mail. After 4 hours I’ll pick another name.
Recapping today:
Through comments left on my other post today I learned that today is Earth Day, in fact Reader Judy says save the planet . . it’s the only one with chocolate!! Hoo boy that made me laugh. Reader, Chaun said that Starbucks is giving away a free cup of coffee and that word certainly gets our attention.
My sweet friend Bonnie Weiss made a peg bow maker that is to die for – you can see it at http://thepinkdawghouse.blogspot.com/2011/04/bpbs.html
If you make a bow maker, feel free to send me the link (but don’t put the link in a comment or it will be eaten by my spam box – send it to me through my contact page – so I will see it)!! My bow maker is very functional and works quite well although it’s not so pretty . . . the ones that you all are showing me sure are pretty and very well made!!
I couldn’t be more blessed if I tried – God is so good!! It’s such a pleasure to read the back and forth of the comments and the caring voice of friends near and far away but close enough to touch on my computer screen. Not only do you communicate with me, but you communicate with each other. If you leave a comment at the beginning of the day, it’s well worth it to come back and see what everyone else said. You all rock!!
I would show you my bow maker but it’s ghetto…not at all cute…functions great just not cute.
I do to make tiny bows, use a a regular kitchen fork, wrap the ribbon around as with a bow maker, makes the cutest little bows!
Hi Becca, Yes He is Becca, Yes He is!! Iris, Saved by Grace
Congrats to Susan! Hope she sees this but I wouldn’t mind if she didn’t and I got picked next. :)
Blessings Bernie
Becca, I missed the fact that you recently marked one of those difficult special days since John died. I will offer you one of the things I have found helped me deal with my husband’s birthdays.
Chuck didn’t particularly care for cake, but he dearly loved two crust lemon pie. So I made a couple and took them to friends who are caring for invalid elder family members. They have little free time for baking so the pies meant a lot to them and doing something nice for them helped me deal with what would otherwise have been a very sad day. I will continue this tradition in his memory, which would have pleased him. He was a very generous and giving person. You don’t have to bake, but do something he would have enjoyed, for someone else in his memory.

I carry my meat fork in my scrapbook case. You never know when you might need a cute bow!
I like Susan’s clever idea & Kay’s cracked me up! LOL!!! Linda’s comment made my day — what a sweet, caring way to remember the one you love who is now gone and I know that each of these husbands are looking down from Heaven and smiling on you & Kay for all the generous things you do that mean so much to so many people! I’m going to go into his den and give my DH a big hug and kiss right now because of you two and because life is so precious and we never know how long we’ll have these precious gifts with us. Happy Earth Day everyone!
Girl you are something else, so sweet. God Bless!
WOW! Bonnie, I’m impressed~you did a great job on your BPBS!
Congratulations Susan! Becca, I am determined to make me a bow maker! Stay tuned!

I also use the fork trick for small bows. My mother, who is now 90 years young, taught me this technique many moons ago.
OK – what’s the fork trick??? How do you make a bow using a fork?
I like the meat fork idea. Heaven knows I can’t cook so I may as well make bows with it! LOL!
yeah, i want to see how to make a tiny bow using a fork. my brain just can’t picture it. but i am all for using common items for other things. just another way of being “green”.

For those wanting to know about fork bows, just search for “fork bow” on YouTube. You can watch videos of how to make bows using a fork. They are tiny and cute using a regular table fork. Varying the size of the fork changes the size of the bow.
Hi Becca,
Will send to your e-mail for Patti Lee of ‘Creations By Patti at blogspot. Her blog today gives measurements and several pictures of your bow maker and a link back to you….now where’s my husband hiding????? LOL!

I love my meat fork bows, but I am trying to talk hubby into making me one of your bowmakers…but he always conveniently disappears. :)
Hi Becca! I don’t always get a chance to read the comments on your blog ’cause most often there are so very, very many of them. Today after reading your remarks about how blessed you are by the comments and caring of other here and how we communicate with each other I felt compelled to read all the comments so far. I have to say I am so touched by Linda Standart’s comments and how she honors her deceased husband on his birthday by doing something he enjoyed for someone else. What a awesome gift and act of grace! And how appropriate to read this on Good Friday, the ultimate act of grace and most precious gift!!
Good Morning Becca

Hi Becca I’ve been away for the last 5 days had a lovely break while our dear daughter is in respite. We went to a beautiful island off the south coast of the UK and God blessed us with wonderful weather …temps reached 27 degrees which is so unusual for mid summer let alone April!
Hope you have a wonderful Easter. I bought a peg bowmaker from Ebay for 99 pence as I was waiting too long for hubby to make one. I made one ages ago out of 4 cocktail sticks and a piece of polystyrene …it actually worked quite well too!
Congratulations Susan come on and claim your wonderful prize off Becca.
Love Sheila xx
Congrats to all the winners! Such a great way to share the abundance.
