His Hand – New Cuttlebug Embossing Folder – Lace Tree

It’s that time again!!  Time for the Divine Design Challenge which is a Bible Verse Challenge where many stampers have made a commitment to offer a card or project on the 8th of each month that includes scripture holding special meaning to them.  You can read more about the challenge on Lori Craig’s blog  here.  Like me, anyone can participate, and the cards are also being posted on Splitcoaststampers under the keyword BVC08.  Although it doesn’t resemble what I had in my mind, this card was a pure pleasure to work on.

I had the opportunity to use another of my new Cuttlebug embossing folders.  This one was the Lace Tree which is a solitary triangle shaped Christmas Tree.  What, you don’t see it?  It’s there . . . I embossed the bottom of the tree, upside down, onto each corner of my card panel.   In other words the curly que that is the very bottom of the tree falls toward the center of my card, it’s just mostly covered (this time).  Here’s what the whole embossing folder looks like.

I’m addicted to those to those fun, fun medallions and used this corner punch this time.  If you want to see the video on how to do this easily, just check HERE.

I found your website last night and then spent at least 2 or more hours looking, drooling and then wishing I could be half as talented as you are. I love your style, it’s so classy and beautiful. I’m a bow person and I really like the bows you’ve made with spectacular ribbon. You are so good, how in the world do you come up with all of those different ideas? Being that I am aslo a Christian I know that your talent comes from God but gosh all I can think of is that I stood in the wrong line when they gave out extra creativity gene, or maybe you took it all, lol. Thank you for sharing, I plan to visit your blog often, it is now on my favorite’s list!ReplyCancel

    Hi Becca,
It rained most of the week-end so guess what I was doing….medallions over and over again. What fun.
You have introduced me to nestabilities, could you tell me the size that you use and do they emboss at the same time as the cut.
Thanks for sharing over and over again.

This one is so pretty. I have the lace tree so I must try your innovative idea and see what I produce – (said with tongue in cheek).

    Becca,

You really truly have a gift girl! Your cards are simply gorgeous and inspiring. I have been going through a difficult time with my health and although I am making tons of cards for my church and sending a card weekly to my Chemo buddy I never receive cards so I come and look at yours and imagine it was for me that I am inscribed on the palm of my father’s hands, He knows all about me. Thanks for the reminder. Now I do have both the folder and the punch you used here so maybe I can make myself one. I would never have thought to use the folder on the corners thanks for the idea.ReplyCancel

Your work is an inspirational guide for me….not only for the biblical tone but for the usage of all the various tools. Your imagination and fore sight is beyond extraordinary…..it’s a gift that few have. To take a corner punch and transform it into a circular pattern is talent. I’ve been admiring your work for some time now and am always just awed by your creations. You have really received a gift from God. Thanks for sharing.ReplyCancel
