Holly Berry House Christmas Bells

While I was in the Christmas mood and had festive stuff on my work table I thought I’d work up these Holly Berry House Christmas BellsStampers Dream has quite a few different bells in stock and the one I chose to work on is called Holly Bell.  They come as one stamp, with assembly instructions,  that you simply stamp 5 times, cut out and glue on the tabs.   So you’re wondering if it was easy?  Yes, this was just the task I needed to work on this weekend . . . stamp, cut, assemble.

I experimented around with different papers and coloring methods and to my delight found that you can go any way you want to.  For these I embossed with gold on 140lb watercolor paper and colored in the holly with my Tombow Markers.   After cutting and gluing I put a ribbon through the top of the bell and a jingle bell inside.  I think these will be perfect for a Christmas tree and you can color them to match any theme. I’ll be making more of these :)  the instruction sheet shows that if you don’t care for the square look, you can assemble these same panels for a round bell!

The poinsettia on top is another Holly Berry House stamp – Persnickety Poinsettia Medallion Medium.   It’s one stamp that is cut out four times – each time it’s cut you lop off a set of outer leaves and it makes it perfect for stacking.   I embossed with gold on a dark red velvet paper, and cut out my four layers.   I mounted two of the cut outs behind the bow and two in front.

Recipe:
Stamps:  Holly Berry House Originals –
Holly Bell, Persnickety Poinsettia Medallion Medium
Paper:  140lb Strathmore Watercolor Paper
Ink:  Versamark and Gold Embossing Powder
Accessories:  Tombow Markers, Aquapainter, Ribbon

Weekend, what weekend, right?!!!?  I hope yours was fabulous.  It has been so busy with my daughter starting college.  I have a feeling it will be another week before we’re all back in the groove :)

Becca, You inspire so many folks and I LOVE your work. Yesterday your JustRite Christmas Joy was beautiful and you moved me to do more investigating into Just Rite stamps. I am finding most of the layouts and designs are beyond the basics and I’m a little confused about where to start. When I checked the shelf at a store, I was even more confused because of the different sizes. Would you please give me some hints about where does a beginner start? I love what I see and I’m ready…just need lots of HELP!ReplyCancel

Everything you do is SO inspirational to me! I just love dropping by to LEARN from you!

Although my “style” is different from you, I’m able to expand my focus with “colored” embossing powders, learn to “fold” my spellbinders, and now I make “big” bows on my new projects as I was always kinda “shy” about put ’em out there! Thank you for posting all your lovely creations for all to SEE!

.P.S. bought some “Holly Berry” stamps because of you!

    Denise :)
