Oh……my……goodness, how long is too long? I’ll tell ya, eight days without my blog is too long!! I pined away for the daily list of blogs I read and being able to post to mine. I am so doing the happy dance to be back, and with a quick card too!
This card is all about symmetry, which is by far a comfort zone for me; I have to deliberately resist it sometimes. It’s the factor that makes it sooooo difficult for me to decorate a Christmas Tree – I really get wrapped up in symmetry. And okay, I’ll admit it – it’s a little OCD-ish. Anywho, this is the cutest paper from Sassafras Lass and once I saw it, I hoped I could use it on a card. I wanted a smaller word stamp that wouldn’t totally cover the ribbon and this Wordsworth stamp is a little on the large size, but it worked for me.
Supplies:
Stamps: Wordsworth
Ink: Versamark
Paper: Sassafrass Lass, Bazzill
Accessories: White Embossing Powder, Bling, HL Ribbon
By the way, my son’s graduation was delightful. I had no idea the emotion that would come over me as I watched him in the processional. Years ago, when the lure of being popular in high school swept over this young man and his grades evaporated, we could hardly imagine his future. After some intervention he woke up, made a 180 degree turn and handed in a performance that far surpassed our dreams. His turn around was the success story for a school, he received recognition and an award from the Superintendent of Schools and is thankfully on his way to college. As I watched him graduate this all rushed by in an instant and I could not speak. What a blessed time, and I was so glad my mother was able to come and share.
Thanks so much for patiently waiting for next post. You all bless me so!
Hugs,
