Good morning friends! Today I have a giveaway going on. I’m showing you a sneak peek of the Journal Trio that is being featured on the Spellbinders website today with instructions on how to make it! When I wrote the instructions I had to make a duplicate set so I thought it a perfect opportunity to send something out to one of my lucky readers. This is one of the three gold covered journals that come in the set nestled in a gold embellished open ended storage case tied with silk ribbon. Have I piqued your curiosity?
The Journal Trio uses the Swirl Bliss Pocket and Swirl Bliss die set and over the last several months it has become something I reach for often – especially for gift items. These little journals have become my ‘go to’ gift because they’re so pretty, so unique and the journals themselves can be covered in less than half an hour. I’ve been purchasing the Journals at Hobby Lobby but the key is to find a journal about 4″ tall – and yes I’m sure at some point I’m going to make my own journals. Gold is my favorite but I can see this in any color and I’ll soon be trying with felt and some other specialty coverings. When I was young we had to cover our school textbooks to keep them from getting too beat up – well this project brings it back in elegant form.
Open to all readers including international! In order to win the duplicate Journal Trio I have here, leave a comment on this post and I’ll pick a winner on May 5th. You’re welcome to stop by once a day and in your comment, tell me what’s your all time favorite die template. If you’re like me, you can never have just one!
Beautiful! I think I may just be able to re-create this journal – and how sweet for gifts! I do love the way your mind works. My favorite die template? Ho-ley cow that’s a tough one. I have – lots – of them… Probably my favorite is the last one I’ve seen you use…so it changes almost daily :-) Thank you for your inspiration!!
Any template you use is beautiful…..LOVE the Journal…would be such a special Gift !!!!
Like you, Becca, I love all dies! It’s really difficult to pick just one! Lovely job on the Journal Trio.
Beautiful Journal.
I really don’t have a favorite at this time
Thank you for this giveaway opportunity
The journal trio is a wonderful idea….my head is spinning with ideas for coverings, too! My favorite die…is constantly changing as I incorporate them on my cards. I just gave my daughter a purple flowered rendition of the exploding box, an idea you had several weeks ago, with the white and gold box you made. I had butterflies (and one bumblebee) on long stems of clear plastic strips so that when it was opened would burst wide open. What a delight and I have to thank you for the idea! I check out your blog every few days as your die ideas are so intriguing. Thank you so much for sharing them.
These are very special!!! Would love to have one!! I love all the flower & butterfly dies, can not pick a favorite if I tried to for a year!!
The journals are just beautiful. I love making dimensional flowers, so my favorite die template would be flowers.

There is no way to choose 1 favourite die cut I recently purchased a few of Sue Wilsons die cut and loving them. I see myself making these journals as gifts and other uses for them. Thanks for sharing this idea. Christine.
WAUW this is sooo gorgeous Becca, and right now I think this is my favorit die, but I must also admit, that I can´t have any favorit very long, cause every time new are comming out, I just always fall in love with those too. If you ask hubby, he´ll say I´m a total die addict he he, and I must confess I absolutely love diues. There´s so much you can do with them.
Hi Becca,
I love window dies, but my all time favorite die is your A2 Filigree Delight die. It can be used so many ways. Have a great day!
Oh My Gosh!!!!! I can see why this is a go-to gift. It’s absolutely beautiful. and a favorite template right now changes every day. Can’t decide on a favorite one until I start a project, but if I had to pick today I would choose anything swirly, :-)
love your stuff and glad I found your site.
That journal looks STUNNING. Even though you can not pick just one die template. It’s impossible!. My latest favorites are the Arached Elegance and the Swirl Bliss sets. Thank you for sharing your inspiration and your talent. After everything that I’ve been through I found in paper crafting a refuge and an inspiration in your blog. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!! God bless you always!
Victoria
How beautiful…very clever..thanks for all your creative inspiration…you are so talented…love the spellbinders dies..
Can’t choose one favourite die cut, just purchased a few of Sue Wilsons dies and loving them. Love the ides for the journals and see me making them as gifts. Love your work you inspire me. Thanks Christine
So beautiful! The die I seem to reach for frequently is a library pocket die from PTI. I make a lot of cards with money or gift cards enclosed so this die comes in handy.
So excited about the new dies that are coming out.
I sure wish when I had to cover my school text books that we had beautiful dies like that to make our cover job that much more prettier than what we had. That would have made it so much easier to open up those books to do homework instead of putting it off. I wonder if my grandkids need to have their text books done? Thank you for a beautiful set of dies!
Happy May Day, Becca! What a stunning journal! My favorite go to die, would be all Spellbinders, I go thru my selection every time I need one, and it’s such a hard decision to just pick the perfect one! It would be such a treasure to be the winner of an Amazing Paper Grace project, thanks for the chance to win.
wow, just gorgeous. I would love to have this set. looking forward to adding your dies to my collection. one of my go to dies is the top note from su. it’s an oldie but goodies starting point. tomorrow i’ll share what one of my others is.
Absolutely, one of a kind beeUteefull!!! The way you keep coming up with ideas amazes me. It is almost impossible to pick only one favorite die as it changes all the time but I do love the A2filigree.
Love this journal. It’s so elegant that it makes you not want to write in it.
Love this! So clever. As for your impossible question! I really can’t say. I love your dies obviously and Spellbinders. I also love Sue Wilson dies. She has just brought out a new range here in the UK and they are really lovely. There’s so much choice of dies on the market these days that its getting more and more difficult to decide what to spend ones hard earnt pennies on. But I do like filigree ones and am currently having an oval phase I think!
Just love this journal and everything else that you do, look forward to receiving your email to see what you have made xx
My first thought was “Isn’t that gorgeous!” Sooooo pretty! My favorite die changes every time I’m crafting! I love spellbinders dies!
Becca, as always you give me inspiration and terrific ideas. I love, love, love this journal. Goes along with an idea I have for Christmas gifts I intend to give this year, (yes, I did say Christmas). I love all the elegant dies, but my all time favorite is Timeless Rectangles from Spellbinders. I have found so many wonderful uses for that die set. Thanks for the inspiration and thanks for sharing your wonderful talent with all of us,
Absolutely GORGEOUS! Thank you for all the inspiration these past years! I could never pick just one die…lol! I never know I must have it until I see you use it in a totally unique way!!!
Wow! Wow! Wow! Absolutely beautiful. I have so many dies I love, but I think the Parisian accents and motifs die set must be one of the favourites.
Oh Becca, I just love this set and would really love to win it as I actually need a new Prayer Journal and these would be awesome for that purpose! My favorite set so far is the Romantic Rose Set. It is lovely and is great for many things and that special touch!! Thank you so much for the opportunity to win this set!!!
What a perfect journal! It really is fabulous Becca! My favourite die? Now that’s a tough one. It changes constantly – and I blame you! Every time you use something new it becomes my fave of the moment. However, at the moment I am using Oval Bliss a lot. I do love oval dies! Hugs to you. Christine xx
Beautiful. Looking forward to the instructions. can’t seem to find them on the spellbinders site yet but I’ll keep checking.
This is just awesome!
What a beautiful little gift to give to someone. One of my favorite dies is the Spellbinders A2 Filigree Delight. I bought it after seeing you use it on some of your cards. It’s very versatile.
Only you would think out of the box and come up with something this elegant! I love making gifts as well as cards and this is a great idea!
So exquisitely beautiful!
Awesome looking project. It is hard to pick a favorite die. I love the ones that have the most detail and I love to layer and layer and layer
As always a winner project
Absolutely beyond beautiful! As an avid journalist, I must make one if these. Just stunning!
Oh Becca, you must have the best dreams when you close your eyes ’cause you have the prettiest ideas. My current favorite die is the Spellbinders Medallion 3–been using it a lot lately.
I love making projects with card and paper and my lovely sister usaully gets the end reslt as a loving gift. This is stunning Becca and I know my sister would love it. You always give us so much inspiration with your work. I love all my dies so I dont really have a favourite as they are all so versatile.
Regards Ann
Becca, I some how stumbled across your website about a year ago. I’m hooked. The cards you make and the picture holder under the glass and now your journal have sent me into crazy mode. You do such awesome work and I would love to receive your journal and start a collection of your cards and instructions maybe in it. I baby sit 2 of my Grandkids just to have extra money to buy Spellbinder dies and try and make your lovely cards. I will be back tomorrow to see your next creation.
I love that you think outside the box, Becca! I could so make these to give and to donate to an annual charity silent auction that I contribute to each year. One of my all time favorite die sets right now is the Soellbinders “A2 Devine Eleoquence” I love layering this die! I often cut it from Neenah “classic natural white” and ink it with Ranger Distress Ink in a shade that works with my other color choices for my card. Currently I am favoring the “antique linen” color..
What a gorgeous journal! I am completely addicted to owl dies. I am always looking for them. Thank you for the wonderful giveaway.

Thank you for the chance to win your beautiful creation!
You are such an inspiration!
Becca,
Some how I came across your website and I have to check back everyday to see what you have made. This Journal is beautiful! I love the Spellbinder die that you made your Gatefold card for a Baby Girl and then for the Christmas card but I think my favorite one is the frame with the girls picture in it and they are under the glass dome. Just Beautiful! I love your website and I started baby sitting my youngest Grandson so I had extra money to buy more Spellbinder Dies. I would love to receive this journal to start putting pictures of your cards and the instructions in it and copy some of the things you have made. Thank you for sharing your talent with us.
Beautiful journal. Perfect gift for my daughter-in-law to journal her pregnancy and notes for her baby. I will need to make one for me to write letters to my 2 year old grandson—-things he says and does.
Beautiful and what a lovely gift these would make. Thank you for your inspiration and the opportunity to win such a work of art. Favorite die – absolutely impossible to pick – I love them all.
HA! I just literally made a journal yesterday — far cry from how stunning your’s is!
Becca, this is gorgeous!
Wow your imagination is just amazing I wish I had a tiny bit of it :) I had the Arched Elegances dies delivered today after seeing a card you make with them so I think they might just be my new favorite. How fantastic would it be to own something made by you! thank you for the chance to win xx
Becca: Thank you for the opportunity to win this giveaway. I have covered journals for awhile. However, they have always looked too “handmade” and not “handcrafted”. You are offering an option that looks handcrafted. Thank you for your past and continued inspiration.
Wishing you continued wellness, joy and prosperity.
-D Keels
Absolutely pretty like everything you create! I love my spellbinder dies :) Thank you and have a great weekend!

Love it!! I was unable to find your featured article over at Spellbinders, so I hope they will post it soon. I’m looking forward to seeing how you made the set.
My favorite dies are the lacy ones and the flourish ones. I have many dies, and used them all, but I reach for things like Reflective Moments, Devine Eloquence, Filigree Delight….you get the idea.
Thanks again, Becca, for posting such a beautiful journal set.
You are so generous Becca and yes, I would love to win a journal. I’m a compulsive book maker and add to my collection on a weekly basis!.

Becca the journal is absolutely beautiful. It is just so elegant. What a fantastic gift to give or receive. You are always so generous with your followers / stalkers. LOL I save all the special quotes I find and write them in a journal. Sometimes it is just a few lines and other times it takes me pages. It would be amazing to win one of yours.
I have a huge collection of dies and it’s very difficult to pick out a favorite-they’re like your kids, you can’t just choose one!! I knew I should’ve bought the Swirl Bliss when I picked up the Swirl Pockets. Your creation is amazing. Thanks for the chance!

What a lovely journal and the gold adds elegance to it.
Oh how beautiful, and what a lovely gift this makes! My all time favorite die is Spellbinders Elegant Ovals. I have tried to find the Elegant Ovals in the Grand Calibur size, but sadly, they have discontinued it in the Grands. I even called Spellbinders when I was looking… that’s when I found out it was no longer around. BooHoo! I absolutely love this die!

Hugs Trish.
This is beautiful! Heading out to buy some journals!
Absolutely gorgeous! Thanks for the chance to win!! I really don’t have a favorite yet. I’m anxiously waiting for my husband to mount my television on the wall so I can keep my machine on the tv stand and plugged in so I’m able to use it. I’m not able to set it up by myself. I have some dies that are just “die-ing” to be used.
I use my lattice die again and again… I love how it adds to the color and texture on a card. Lovely little book… Classy.
My current favorite die is Spellbinders Labels 39. I use these dies a lot when I am creating flower based cards.
Your cards are always so fabulous and inspiring.

I love any Spellbinder die and you always inspire me to use what I have in new ways plus purchase new ones when I see how lovely your projects are. I would have to say that I probably use the various Labels Four the most often but I do love them all, including your dies. This journal is so perfect and a wonderful gift idea. I’ve been keeping a journal wile I’ve been recovering from complications of a fall in January where I fractured my pelvis in three places plus fractured my shoulder. (You never expect to go into the hospital with pneumonia and come out in a wheelchair with broken bones but I’m here to tell you; it happens!) Unfortunately, my journal is an plain notebook like you’d find in the school supply department. I would love to win this journal but if I’m not the lucky one, I’m going to create a beautiful journal for myself,Thank you for the opportunity to win your beautiful creation.

Sooooo awesome journal Becca. I would feel sooo honored, if I was lucky enough to win something like this from your hands, it´s sooo beautiful.
About the dies, then I must confess, that I change my mind all the time about which is my favorite, as there´s sooo many. I actually think I have tons of favorites depending on, what I´m using it for.
Beautiful
I have quite a few ‘favourite’ dies but must admit they drive me mad when I have to put them through the Grand Calibur several times, turning to all angles!!
Doreen R
I would love to have one of this dies! They are awesome. I love all spellbinders dies. I have some only because they are not very affordable for me but If I had money I would buy them all just to have them!! haha
Wow!! That is gorgeous!! Love the gold! So elegant!
I couldn’t even choose a favorite die! I love them all! Yesterday though, I made a card using the Victorian Medallion Two Dies. Love that set! :)
Thank you for the chance to win!
Liebe Becca,
ich schreibe aus Deutschland, denn du hast auch internationale Leser aufgefordert einen Kommentar abzugeben.
I’ll try it in english, so please be merciful. I’m a child of god too and I’m excited to find a christian crafter on this blog. But first I was attracted by your project. I’m a teacher and I know the problem with covering schoolbooks from my own experience. But this wonderful covering has to cover on itself perhaps more than the book. This idea is amazing! To be perfectly honest, I love to create flowers with all the helpful dies. Than I feel like a creator as my heavenly father.
Stay blessed and go on with your gorgeous works!
Birgit
Beautiful journal Becca. We used to cover our school books too here in Wales in the UK. It never occurred to me that they did this in other countries too (lol). Your journal is a gorgeous gift for anyone. Take care. xx
Superb work as always Becca.
God Bless .

I have bee using the Spellbinders Nestabilities Dies Floral Ovals and the Spellbinders Nestabilities Card Creator Dies – A2 Valiant Honor a lot lately. So these are my favorites, at present. Love the Journal Trio. You definitely piqued my curiosity. Cannot wait to see what you do next. I may not always write my comment here, but you should hear the words of praise when I see you newest creation on your blog. May God continue to Bless you, your family and your talent.
Becca, all your makes are ‘amazing’. I wish I had half your talent.
Sue :-)

These journals are just exquisitely beautiful, Becca! So many of the dies are my favorites; can’t name just one! Thanks for the chance to win one of your gorgeous creations.
I am in love with the trio. I am dreaming about a maroon-red with a staining of several diff golds, and a touch of flat silver. Add a hinge – I better stop dreaming and tell you what kind of dies that I enjoy. Any of the hearts, any of the labels, or any flower die. See I jjust can’t make up my mind. So thank you for sharing the trio with the instructions. Have a good day. Bon
I am in awe of your projects, just dream of being able to create like you. I do attempt to create similar but not as creative as you. Love your work.
What a lovely gift to give a friend for any reason or season. I love this idea and can envision different colors too. Thank you for sharing your ideas.

Good morning Becca,
We too had to cover our school books and jotters when i was at the school also for the same reason normally in wallpaper that mum had remnants of but i didn’t realise that it had a world wide effect.
I can see why you enjoy making your journals Becca as you transform something ordinary into something of a keepsake. Thank you for showing your little piece of wonderful art to us,

Hi Becca,
Arched Elegance is my current favorit, that magnificent set of note cards you designed has knocked my socks off.
The love you have shown your dinner table in this post has inspired me to new heights, I’m a sucker for a well layed table.
Thank you Becca
Really, just one?! My MOST USED, not necessarily my favorite, are my rectangle nesties. Only because I can pair them with a lot of the fancier rectangle dies. I recently purchased the Arched Elegance die and pocket (they are beautiful, by the way), so they are currently right at the top of the list! Thanks for all you share!
Such elegance to behold!

bekka I have just become a major all time fan of yours and as I checked in this evening I was way too delighted to find ideas for the swirl bliss dies I received this morning! I had ordered them a few days ago then forgot what I had seen that urged me to purchase them, and lo and behold you came to my rescue! I adore this design and hope to see you inspire us with more of your fabulous creative ideas. You have been blessed! Thanks for sharing!
Your journal idea is so dreamy, what a special gift!
As for my personal favorite, it all depends on the project since I make cards and love scrap-booking too. I’ve recently been using the frilly card-sized dies with options and have made several cards that are so pretty. One dear lady told me she framed the Easter card I gave her and it hangs on her wall. Now that is an honor to hear. I also have been using small dies for accents on my layouts.
As always your creations are wonderful. I am always inspired by you.
Lovely idea of making a journal cover using dies! My favourite die is dress form.
Cheers
Johanna

If I had only one set of Spellbinders, it would probably be one of the old basic label sets- I find myself going to one of them most of the time as they complete my wish for a display for my sentiments. And it doesn’t take a lot of time to cut them out -no fancy parts to worry about.
Oh Becca this is stunning and so elegant!! I love that gold!!! Striking beautiful!

Your cards are always beautiful…but this one is exceptional! The giveaway is exceptional too!
Probably the most beautiful thing I have ever seen! You always outdo your-self.
I have loads of Spellbinders dies and really enjoy using them. It’s impossible to pick a favorite.
Now I finally foun d your tutorial on Spellbinders site too, so I can give it a go sometime soon, as soo as I can get these dies here too.
Unfortunately I didn´t get even one die, when we were visiting the US here last month. I was chocked to find out, that not even one of the big stores or anywhere else had any dies in store, but just told me to order them online, which I ofcause should´ve had done beforehand then, if I had just known, as last time we went, I found tons of great dies in every store I visited over there, so I admit, I was chocked, when I found out, that it obviously was history over there.
That journal trio is beautiful – and the way you used it in gold makes it look so elegant.
Hi Becca,
Love this, thank you for the image of the three journals together the look fabulous. Good luck to everyone.
Love & Hugs

The journal is pure elegance and I would love to hold it in my hands, after it has passed your masterful hands. Thank you for giving us the chance to own one of your beautiful creations.
What a beautiful set and lovely projects. As always, you are amazing!
So pretty…love all the dies
I love your dies and especially the two dies to make the journals. My favorite die of all is Spellbinders Scalloped Edge Frame. You made a lovely valentine basket which I have made several times and given away. Your wonderful post and video was on your blog February 14, 2010. It was a challenge but I would pause and start your video until I DID IT. I feel you are a special teacher who shares her talent and I am grateful.
Really stunning Becca and I would LOVE to win!!!
WOW, today’s card “In Four Easy Steps” is so eye catching. This really caught my eye. Sometimes the simpliest cards turn out so beautiful. The soft pink and cream papers combined with the little details of pearls and the flower with a little glitter brings it all together. I defiantly will have to create this card. Thanks for another great card and a chance to win an early Mother’s Day prize. The Classic Trio Journals pop with the gold.
Happy Mother’s Day Becca!!
These journals are just beautiful Becca! Great idea to use a die to embellish a journal. I have a hard time narrowing down a favorite die. I use dies all the time when making cards. I really like the pinking circles but it seems to be one of the lesser known dies. Label dies are also a favorite and get lots of use.
Beautiful as usual, Becca. Just bought your Spellbinders dies you designed. Thank you.
As usual another beautiful creation. The journal trio is wonderful. I love everything you make. I own numerous spellbinder dies and my favorite it the new one that becomes available or the next one I plan on purchasing. I just can’t seem to pick just one, I love them all.
I love all floral dies. Seems I can’t get enough of them! I just love your project!
I think my new favorite is Swiss Bliss. Each time I see one of your new creations, I think, “I’ve got a new favorite!”, so I have to admit that my favorite changes often. You know what that means: “Gotta have it!”
Thanks for all your gorgeous works of art.
I love your designs, I love your warm , giving personality! I was really disappointed when you had to stop your special club and it’s designs. However, you are generous to a fault with your shared cards. May God continue to bless you. These three designs are beautiful.
How lovely!! Almost too pretty to use the books — opening/closing the journals might damage the beautiful cover. :-)
Thank you Becca for the chance to win one of your gorgeous papercrafting projects. This book ensemble is just eye catching.
This card is beautiful.
I love Spellbinders dies. I don´t have a fafourite die. They are all great:
What a beautiful and perfect gift for a teacher. I’m for sure going to make a number of them for all those special people who teach our children so much. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for the chance to win!
I don’t know if I can choose a favorite from my Spellbinders collection. I still reach for the classic shapes and early labels for my card making. I love the more intricate designs as well!
Becca This project is absolutely beautiful. Your use of the Spellbinder Dies is magical. It would be difficult to pick one die.
Betty
Such a beautiful gift for someone you love. As always great job. Hard to pick a favorite.
This journal is so beautiful. It would be an honor to win it. I am just starting making cards and your designs are gorgeous! I will be following you to learn more about the craft and techniques of card making.
I am new to crafting and when I found your site I was over the moon. Your work is so elagent and you have such good ideas of using the same dies for so many different projects. I would love to think that one day I could craft like you and produce such beautiful things. You inspire me to keep trying. I love the little gate die that you have used on boxes and cards. You really do think ouside the box and get the best use from a die. Will be following your blog and taking in all your fantastic ideas.
Love, love , love your work, looks like someone is going to be lucky to receive such a beautiful piece of work. You inspire me to keep trying with card crafting as I am a beginer to card crafting. Love to see all your new ideas, your mind must contantly be thinking of the next project. A big thank you, you help me decide which dies to purchase. Fellow want to be good crafterX

Hmmm – naming a favorite die is akin to naming your favorite child.
I have been playing with the Arched Elegance Pocket lately. The pocket adds a lot of versatility to projects. And, your journals are beautiful.
Hello Becca,
What fantastic ideas you have with your wonderful dies
Maureen xx
This Journal Trio is so beautiful and so elegant. What a wonderful gift for the lucky recipient. My all time favorite die/s would have to be the Labels One, either the original set, the decorative set or the smaller set. They are just right for adding a special touch to any project.
have been following you for a while, Becca and am inspired always!
Another elegant item. I like the spellbinder pendants and borders. I recently purchased the ballerina after seeing your unfolding box. My Julia will love this card.
The journal is amazingly gorgeous!
My NEW fav die is the Arched Elegance die as I can do so much with it and your inspirations (of course). However the basic shape dies never die, they are always sets that I go back to a foundation to build on.
Thank you for your beautiful creations and inspiration to the World of crafters.
Lovin it. :)

My favorite dies are filigreed ovals. The more ornate, the better! Anything that looks very feminine and lacey.
