The Joy of Making for the Season is palpable when fall arrives. I just itch, just yearn to create. Back to when I was a girl and we would set aside a day to make Spritz Cookies in double-digit dozens. That was the best day ever and was one of many highlights during the holiday season. I love throwing my heart into it. The same goes with cardmaking. I love working through the year but something magical happens when we get into the season of giving. In these days, so sprinkled with hope, I suppose I dream about one of my cards gracing a home or one of my gifts tickling someone deep down in their soul.
I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to create some Christmas dies with my A Charming Christmas Collection. They are food for my yearning to create and I find myself looking forward to tinkering with them. Actually, this collection was designed a year ago, so I’ve been waiting with baited breath to create actual cards.
Joy of Making for the Season
I wanted to create a card with a bit of old world charm. Along with sultry old papers, I picked the Charming Snowflake Doily to highlight. I chose gold but I’ve seen this in both white and silver and those are next on my list. This is a die that can be used year round, but the petite snowflake charm makes it Christmas :-) It was fun to play!

Are you creating yet? Time’s a wastin’!! I hope you get a sense of peace, gratitude and accomplishment from your works. Jump in, it’s the season!
Gorgeous card and die! I love creating but seem to do more experimenting. Then when I get with friends I will buckle down and do something productive. I set January and February for making Christmas cards as not to be in a rush. I’ve done all of this year’s already and will be designing for 2019 next.
Beverly, I’m picking myself up off the floor. You’re already done and were done by February! Please rub off on me – I need to follow your example!!
That absolutely could not be prettier, Becca. What a gorgeous Christmas card! I can’t believe we’ve had to wait a whole year to see your Christmas collection (good thing you didn’t sneak-peek it to us and make us drool for a year!) Thank you for the beautiful inspiration!
Chelsea, thank you!! After the hustle and bustle of this year, I’m really grateful to turn my thoughts towards Christmas and have an opportunity to do some heartfelt creating!
I am so in love with this card. Everything is speaking elegance. When I see the ribbon I see Jesus.. The snowflake reminds me that I have been made white as snow. The gold reminds me of the streets of gold in heaven. Thank you for reminding me.
Thank you Karen!! Just knowing it inspired you in a positive way makes my heart sing!
love all the layers and how they fit together. very pretty. any idea when your team will mail out the Friday winners?
Beautiful and so elegant. I always love your cards.
Thank you L Kelsey :-)
Becca, I have followed you for years and every Christmas season your game escalates higher and higher. Truly impressive card idea (always with a gorgeous silk or satin bow) that is perfect in every single layer. Cannot wait to see the Rest of the Story!
Super idea, flipping Christmas card-making time! Thanks a millions to Beverly for sharing one of those simple, “who thought of that?”, genius traditions!
Carolyn, thanks for your sweet words!!
Another beautiful set of dies. The card is gorgeous. Your cards inspire me and give me new ideas for card making. Enjoy your weekend. Quinty girl

Hi Becca!
BEAUTIFUL CARD!!!! As I read your post, the question that came to me was, “What is YOUR favorite die that you’ve created? Of all the dies you’ve done?” I too LOVE the old world feel when it comes to Christmas! I haven’t started my card making for Christmas YET! LOL I am still working through birthdays here! But, some ideas have entered my head about what I will do for Christmas! ;)
Thank you Becky :-)
Good morning Becca, love everything about this!!!

Beautiful card using your lovely and amazing dies. Yes, I have started on my Christmas cards. Very early start for me, but my fall will be occupied with a new adventure – no time for card making then.

Your Christmas collection dies are absolutely gorgeous!
Ah, Becca. Never anything less than the prettiest! You have a clean, tasteful and elegant style that is timeless. I love getting your latest blog updates to see what you’ve been up to. This one is another beauty!
Hi Becca,
ANother georgous card. Love how you brought the cookie making into your blog. Isn’t it something we did as children that makes our memories so special especially at CHRISTMAS!
I will be starting my cards (don’t do as many as I used to)soon. I now belong to a die cut echange so that is keeping me busy especially when they see your dies in my collection and I am happy to share die cuts with them. Have a great Sunday and bless you.
Hugs

Stunning card, Becca. This charming snowflake doily really is charming and can be used all year around too. Clever you!

Another beauty Becca – very inspiring! Dianne
Your cards never disappoint Becca. This is stunning!
This card is just stunning. I love the colors and the elegance and LOVE that bow. I am actively working on my Christmas cards now. I make about 60 and try to hand deliver all of them. I really hate mailing things like this in the mail. Not only does it cost a lot to do so but I really enjoy the response of those I give a card to. The cards have a lot of heart and love put into them and their response is so heartwarming to me. God bless…Denice with a “c”
Cannot find the snow flake die
I teach a card making class at the local community center. We are not as advanced as some of your followers but decided last year that we would devote one class per month to Christmas cards. It has been a fun adventure and I think everyone is ready for Christmas card time this year. You are always one of my greatest inspirations and I always present you to my ladies as my mentor in card making. This card will be one of our monthly projects, if you don’t mind. I love it..!
Oh my goodness! Your cards are the epitome of Christmas elegance. They are heirloom pieces for sure! Thank you for sharing!
