I haven’t had much opportunity to participate in sketch challenges (SCS 225) lately, but it was easy on my mind to jump on this one and complete a couple of quick cards while I’m working on some other things in the background. This has sure been my month for baby cards and I couldn’t be more pleased to add a couple more to my stash. Kelley at Our Daily Bread Designs hit the nail on the head when she designed this set because the sentiments can be used on the front of a card or easily used on the inside of the card – I love that versatility. So this card is another of the April releases from Our Daily Bread Designs called Children of God. When I was making this card, I couldn’t quite decide how I wanted to use the Spellbinders Nestabilities so I made two cards, using the templates both ways. On this card I used Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Circles Large and Spellbinders Large Classic Inverted Scalloped Circles. This frame shape was cut using both templates at the same time – the inverted scalloped circles was offset to make the frame look squiggly like ric-rac. I love that look!

This card is similar to the other and I have used the same Spellbinders templates except they are stacked instead of cut as a frame and I matched the inverted scallop to the extended scallop instead of offsetting them for the ric rac look.
For my bow, it is simply one length of ribbon that I coiled into three stacked figure eights. I added a dab of Zip Dry Glue (I love that schtuff) each time the ribbon crossed the center then I added the tails after everything was done. It’s a new bow for me . . . I’ll bet that you see it again!
Now on to some housekeeping . . . I received quite a few emails asking where I got the paper for this card.
I also received questions about the children stamp. Alas the children were not stamped, they are printed on the paper. I purchased the paper from Michaels about three weeks ago and it is manufactured by Me And My Big Ideas. I did go to the MAMBI website and they show lots of paper, but not the pad that has this sheet featuring silhouetted images.
On the back of the pad it says PADX-15 Baby Girl and also have the number 5935. It also carries a bar code – 73807 95369. Here are pictures of the sheet before I cut it and of the cover of the pad so that if you are looking at the store – you’ll know what you are looking for.

I love these cards especially the card with the blue circle that looks like ric-rac. I spent a few minutes trying to figure out how you got the ric rac to lay so good with the pearls. When I read the directions I was really surprised it was not ric rac.

Hi Becca! It was so great to open your site and see a new card there! That tells me you are A-OK…phew! I began to get concerned there for a day or so :) These cards are beautiful and that bow …. wow! I never wanted to get the inverted nesties because the shape didn’t appeal to me, but now I think I shall have to invest in them in order to make ric rac frames so easily :) Keep the ideas coming so I can keep up my “shopping therapy” LOL

You did a great job of using the Spellbinders dies in different ways. Many of my stamping friends think the die cut machines are restrictive but you are showing us that they are quite versitile.

Becca, you just keep coming up with new ideas. Love the way you made the bow, so soft and lovely. And you call this card a quick one! Anyway, both cards are adorable and so creative. You should do a tutorial on how to use the Nesties because you come up with such creative ways to use them. I’ve had a hard time getting the circle cut out in the middle. Your sample just looks perfect.
