Live the Sweet Life

I totally adore the new Peaches and Cherries stamp set from Flourishes!  OMG when I sat down to color it with Copics, I could see that the artist’s shading is magnificent!  This is one of the simplest cards I’ve done in a while.  Say, are you ever surprised that even the tiniest little things make your day?  Well, when I was coloring this, and oohing over the cherries a little light bulb went off in my head.  It seemed to me that I had just seen paper with cherries on it.  Woohoo . . . Graphic 45 to the rescue!!  This is another of the papers from the Fashionista line called Vintage Cherries.  Can you tell I’m in love with it?

It was pure serendipity to find matching paper, so I decided to make my stamped panel mimic the paper as closely as possible.  After picking a matching yellow and green, I stamped the cherries on white paper and cut them out.  Try as I may, my cutting of the stems just didn’t hack it so I whacked them off and stamped the cherries with stems on my yellow paper.  Then I colored the stems with my Copics and glued the rest of the image down.

I cut out the entire set of Cherries with Spellbinders Standard Circles Small and bordered it with black paper cut with Spellbinders Standard Circles Large.  For the curved banner I cut another Standard Circles Small and lopped off the top part – I made the interior curve with my SU Tab Punch.

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Flourishes:  Peaches and Cherries
Paper:  Graphic45, The Paper Company, Bazzill
Ink:  Tuxedo Black Memento
Accessories:  Spellbinders Standard Circles Small, Spellbinders Standard Circles Large, Martha Stewart Border Punch, Corner Rounder, Bling, Copic Markers
