Happy weekend friends! It’s a rainy day here and I overcame the urge to snuggle up on the sofa with a bottomless cup of coffee, blankets and Netflix to go back and continue cleaning in the studio. It’s been a wreck for such a long time and I imagine it will never be clean but at least now there’s a wider path to my table than I’ve seen in a long time. Right now the clutter is a major hindrance but with some good music in tow I took a break to make a sympathy card. I’m using Paw Prints from Our Daily Bread Designs. I grabbed my favorite Spellbinders™ Romantic Rectangles and decided to turn it into a square border. It was an easy feat I might add – I simply cut two Romantic Rectangles and cut each in half. I adhered them to the back of my main panel taking care to match the pattern and trimming away any excess pattern that might show – you must try this some time!
I stamped my sentiment on one of the fun shapes from Spellbinders™ Labels and Tags the added chalk ink to my die template, reseated my shape and embossed to get the rose colored border. I mounted the finished sentiment on Spellbinders™ Blossom Tags and Accents.
I finished off with a double bow made with seam binding and silk, tied on the Peg Bow Maker and adorned with a little angel pin!

This card is so lovely and sweet. I forget that a die can be cut and carefully placed together to make the shape that works the best. The tan lace is perfect for the card. Thanks for your tips to help us be creative, too.

Your card is beautiful Becca, I Love the colors and the spellbinders you’ve chosen for the card. I too am working on my Room today. Only my walk way is getting smaller as I tear out stuff and move it back to where it belongs, or change it’s location all together. Hope your room comes together and keeps allowing you to to produce all the gorgeous art that you make. I am always amazed at all that you put together. Oh – I forgot to tell you: you issued a challenge to us back at the first of the year about our resolutions. Many of us said we were going to get our craft rooms in order. I’m almost done! Just waiting on 3 shelves to arrive in the mail to complete my promise to you to get my craft room in order :-D

I s’pose the adage of “Things need to look worse before they look better” come to mind! Is it something in the water? There’s a lot of clearing out and tidying up going on – even over here in Australia it seems people are catching the same “bug”. But don’t you feel good when you go back the next morning – you just Smile, nod and say “Yep!”.
Your card as usual is stunning Becca you have used some of the Spellbinders dies that I didn’t really think about, so have tempted me (again!) to rethink my wish list.

I have seen so many cards you have done with Romantic Rectangles and just got it this week. Sick today so didn’t get a chance to do anything with it. I also got Floral ovals which I know you use alot too. Excited to use these two. This card is absolutely breathtaking and should definitely go a ways to cheer up the receipant. Good luck with your job on your craft room. I need to work on my supply closets ( I have 2) but not a whole room, someday I want my husband to buy me a shed to attach to the house to have as a craft room. TFS!!

How very apt your card is. I found your blog last weekend when I saw the dog sympathy cards, they were beautiful. I found “Your daily bread” and ordered them.
I let my dog Chewit go to Rainbow Bridge at 23.30 BST on Thursday 19.04.11. I come onto your blog today and here is the most beautiful sympathy card, almost as if it is there for me to help me along the way. (I know it is not but it is just one of those coincidences of life).

Oooooh, that bow! You are just teasing those of us who made your bow maker from your original on line tutorial! I can’t remember how to make these bows… When will the instructions be available again? I always tell you that I love your gorgeous cards (Because I DO!) but somehow this one is extra gorgeous. If it is possible, you get better and better as time goes by!

Another beautiful pink card! I just love ’em. I finally, finally, finally got my craft room cleaned up and rearranged, but now I can’t find anything. I know I have it, but where did I put it? I know I’ll get used to it, but meantime… But it is clean (for now) and I did find things I had forgotton I had. That’s the biggest plus. Glad I did it. Chalk ink the die, reseat it, emboss??? Interesting. Will have to give it a try. Thanx for the hint.

Becca, your work is an inspiration to me – always beautiful. I’d love to own one of your bow makers, because it looks substantial and won’t try to run away while working with it, and because it’s adjustable where my two fingers (what I’m using now) only spread apart so far!

Yes, you gave us some of your sources in a Becca Bit February 2011, but these are definately a cut above. I’m guessing you make them, but I’m itching to learn more. Yet another lovely card dear Becca! I too am curious about the pin. Also, do you have a source for the silk ribbon you can share? I really love using the Bow Maker and now that I have been practicing for awhile I am wanting to branch out and make some silk bows.
