Back to share another quick card. This is the kind that gives me pure satisfaction because I used old stuff in my stash ;-) But psst . . . don’t tell anyone, I kind of feel like I’m cheating because it was so easy. Honest!! I put 10 minutes into this. Okay, I put 11 minutes into it because I couldn’t find that darned embossing powder ;-)
Seriously though, I can’t ever seem to make a quick card. I think I’ve settled onto a personal template that I can use in the future! Here’s the inspiration. Rummaging through the clearance bin at Hobby Lobby I came upon some Wedding Invitation/Program kind of things. Since it was laser cut and distressed, I knew it had to come home with me – in hindsight I wish I would have picked up more than one package. They have languished about the craft room for probably about a year. I saw them today and thought how easy and pretty it would be to simply fold the frame in half and drape it across my card. It sure showcases the paper. In these, the middle comes out so it left me ample room to put my sentiment. That’s seriously all there is to this card. The sentiment is from The Lord Has Risen Set with Our Daily Bread Designs and I cut it from Spellbinders™ Labels Four!!

I know these are discontinued but I will sure be on the look out for more frame type invitations for my personal quick card template. These are the ones I found just to give you an idea.

Oh Becca; this is absolutely beautiful. I don’t even consider it a cheater card, because you still made it. I’ll be on the look out for laser or other type frames as well now that I’ve seen what you did with yours. Love it!

I love to re-find things I had bought and never used. Sometimes I lose them and it drives me crazy until I find them. I am currently looking for some stickers I know I have but have looked since January and who knows where I stashed them. They are here somewhere! I love your card. So soft and springy

Thanks Becca for sharing this”quick card”.I just came home from a day of stamping and Card making with friends!Planned was to make 20 cars with different themes. Mmmh..I came home with 4 and I love them very much..I even did some stiching on them.
But once in a while I need “quick and easy”!!!
Becca, I too, have found similar finds in the clearance bin. It is a place that I go to often and am not disappointed.
Becca, this is such a beautiful card and what a terrific idea in using the frame-type wedding invitation material. I will definitely be on the lookout for this type of product when stocking up again.

WOW, totally awesome card..and hey that is anything but cheating in my book! That is being savvy to pick up those beautiful laser cut invitation sheets when you saw them on clearance and even more savvy putting them to great use in this card.

That is simply beautiful. My son and DIL gave me their leftover invitations but they were handmade paper with bits of dried flowers in it. Beautiful and different from your find.Thanks for sharing with us!

What a Fabulous idea, gosh, you never know what you will find if you just wonder around a store. It does even have to be in the papercrafting isles, it can be all over the store, open you eyes and that perfect piece may land in your lap! I haven’t found this type of goody but I have found other goodies!

It takes me longer than 11 minutes to clean off my stamping desk from my last project just to have enough space to stamp. I like the look of the card. It always fun to find something to take home in the bargain bin! Good thing you could find it. That can be a problem. Love the colors and the whole look of the card.

THANK YOU – I always have my eyes out for a card for my husband’s Deacon Ministry at church. He (therefore Me) has 48 families on his/ our Deacon Family Ministry Plan. We remember our families with cards at Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Birthdays, and am considering adding Wedding Anniversaries. We’re sending out almost 50 cards for each event, so they must be fairly easy. Perhaps I can find a substitute for the lovely wedding “stuff” you found. I’ll definately need to look for some sales!
