Hey there Blog Friends!! I have a small card to share with you today using again some of the new Spellbinders that I’m so thankful to have the opportunity to play with. If you tire of this, please let me know (*wink*). I actually detoured and didn’t create what I had sketched out and planned for today and instead played with this sweet little flower. I guess what stood out to me is that it is different from all the other flowers I’ve seen. There’s an extra cut in the leaves that allows you to curl up, curl down or just manipulate them a little differently. I wanted double sided cardstock to play with so I simply adhered and distressed old book pages on the back. That way when curling, I could get either the print or the solid.
I’m using stamps from this months release over at Our Daily Bread Designs. This one is called Not Forgotten. When you see the set, you are more inclined, I think, to make a patriotic card. I find though, that the sentiments can be used for many more occasions :-) I picked up that new postage stamp that I love and cut a big frame, distressing it on the inside and out. I also cut borders on the bottom with the new Edgeabilities – I don’t think it has hit me yet the numbers of combinations I can get. It’s awesome because I get the look I have on the bottom of my card from one pass! (It’s the little things, right?)
SUPPLIES I USED |
Stamps: Our Daily Bread Designs – Not Forgotten Paper: Crafty Secrets Vintage Patterns CD, Bazzill, The Paper Company Ink: Versafine Onyx Black, Vintage Photo Distress Ink Accessories: Spellbinders S4-348 Postage Stamps, Spellbinders Edgeabilities – E8-001 (Classic Scallop), Spellbinders Edgeabilities – E8-003 (Triple Scallop), Spellbinders Classic Squares Large, Pearls, Lace, Pearl Picks |
The rain shut me down yesterday when I had tons of errands to run . . . I’m going to see how far I can get today :-) I’m thankful anyway, because we need it! Have a blessed day friends!!
this card is so cute. i can’t wait for the new dies to hit this area.
Hi Becca,
Beautiful….just love the flower!!!!! Just have to try this one and the colours are so nice.
I am very interested in your pearl picks…how do you stop the pearls from sliding down the straight pin? would appreciate some tips…
Have a great day
Another gorgeous card- nope- not getting tired of the new dies- keep the samples coming! I love the flowers and the beautiful sentiment!
Hi Becca,
Just love this flower!!!!! Got to give this one a try.
I also love the colours, some of my favorites.
Can you give me some tips on your pearl picks. How do you stop the pearls from sliding down the pins.

Bonnie
Gorgeous card as always! Love the flower and the papers too! Spellbinders has the best diecuts! Gorgeous!
Just beautiful…
Love the look. I too would like to know how you make your pins. I ordered some pearls and straight pins but do not know how to finish them off. Where do you get the pieces on the end and what are they called? Maybe a quick tutorial? Thanks and as always I love visiting.
Gorgeous Becca, as always!!! Have fun running!
Great card Becca. If you don’t mind, please send some rain our way. We really need it in Texas.
I never tire of your wonderful card creations and projects. Just love all the new Spellbinders. There are only a few that I can say I am just not crazy about and some that are kind of pricey that I just can’t justify, but, that is probably a good thing. At least for my bank account!!!!
I am not trying to rub it in, but we are really having some wonderful sunny, mid 70’s weather this week. I have a couple of home projects I am in the middle of or I would definitely be out in the garden.
Marcie
GORGEOUS Becca!!! I’m not tired of ANY of it!! *wink*
What die did you use for the flowers? I didn’t notice one like that.
I love what you are doing with the new spellbinders!!! Could you please show how you made that gorgeous wreath the other day?!!!!! Thanks
Soooooooooooo beautiful card again Becca. You´ve just done so many awesome projects here lately, and this one is truely amazing too. Great work hun, I love it.
Becca, Your card is just awesome – love all the new spellbinders and how you use them. Also love this background paper – but am not sure how it would come out on my printer. What kind of printer do you use???I think the new borders are fabulous!!
Wonderful card!

Never tire of seeing any card you make, Becca. Could I ask a favor, though. Could you list the size of the card that you make. Think that would be helpful for those of us who would like to make similar cards. Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful gift with us.
What a beautiful card! Love the pinks, the flower is gorgeous.
Do you have a tutorial for the flower?
The scripture verse stamp is great!
Thank you for sharing!
Beautiful card Becca! I am so excited you made a card with this new flower, S5-067 Anemone Flower Topper. I created the flower design for Spellbinders, I am glad you like it.
Another beautiful creation Becca. I am starting to save up for these dies…I just love toooo many of them. ha ha ha I just found your blog recently and have been checking out all your archives. Your work is fabulous and I thank you for sharing your talent with us. I have been so inspired that all I want to do is craft, so I guess it’s a good thing that it’s just too hot out to do anything but stay indoor!!!

Hi Becca,
Another absolutely GORGEOUS card! I love how you framed it out and what you did with the new Edgeabilities! Just beautiful, and as always, so feminine!
Have a wonderful day,
Barb G.
Awesome. Will be watching out for a Becca Bit on that flower :)
Another Gorgeous card! Tired of the new dies? No Way! Keep the samples coming! Even though I can’t afford them now your ideas still inspire me. I love that flower! Looks like a lotus blossom and would go perfectly on an Asian card.
Blessings Bernie
Becca,
This card is another wonderful example of your talent. You sure do show us how we can use the new spellbinders– gee I can’t wait to get some.
I love the designer paper you are using but wonder what kind of printer you use. I am not sure it would print well on my printer.
Oh WOW Becca you work such magical ideas with the Spellbinders dies!! This is yet another stunning card….I’d never tire of Spellbinders but more importantly I ‘ll never tire of your exquisite work.
Love Sheila xx
I love the card! Do you worry about things being acid-free? Like the old book pages? I don’t think these cards are going to be around long enough to worry about that but my daughter gets freaked if it isn’t acid-free… BTW, I love seeing your pins up close so I can get ideas for my pins! I made your pin cushion but what I used was a Christmas ornament that looked like a fancy victorian oval framed mirror. Now it hangs on the wall holding all my fancy pins for cards and such. Thank you for being here!
Beautiful as always…..I too would enjoy knowing what Spellbinders flower that is. Tutorial would be great too….you are so talented!
Becca
I love your card. The colors are great and I love the flower die. Can’t wait until we can order the new dies. You are so creative.
It all comes together so beautifully. I have a big crush on the little flower cup. I’ve fallen for it hook, line and sinker. The paper is perfect and the bow and ribbon, what more could I possibly say – ‘outstanding’ would be an understatement.
So pretty! Becca, what die did you use to create the flower? It’s really stunning, and as you said, different from any other one that I’ve seen.
Thanks,
R/
Becca just love this cute little flower die. wow these new dies are simply delicious. Love your whole card.
Hugs Trish.
Well, you’ve done it again!!! My purse can’t stand it! I want all of the new Spellbinders dies, but I’m gonna have to pick and choose one or two at a time! All the new ones are so beautiful…or maybe it’s just your artistry that makes them seem so. In any case, I can’t wait until they’re released, then I’ll just close my eyes and pick on at a time! Thanks for sharing/teaching/enabling!
love your flowers!
This is SOOOO PRETTY Becca!!!!!! I LOVE how you’ve combined the floral paper (those little flowers) with the text paper!!!!!! It REALLY looks ATTRACTIVE together!!!!!!!! I didn’t even realize you had used the stamp frame till I read your blog! It is SO NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
Beautiful! I can’t wait until the new dies are available!
Get tired of it…are you kidding!??? Of course you are! I could never get tired of your daily dose of inspiration!
Your cards are a daily inspiration for me and I look forward to every single post. I love your work and I thank you for sharing. I also love Spellbinders and have nearly worn out my dear old Big Shot. I am looking at the new dies and wonder what kind of embossing machine I should next buy – what would be your advice??
Wonderful…exquisite…awesome…beautiful…
All these words have been used above already, but they are true!
It doesn’t sound like you need to worry about us tiring of your style!! Whatever you serve up will be great for the day.
WE ALL LOVE IT!!
…and we adore you too! TFS xx
Becca
I want to know where I can purchase these lovely spellbinder dies! Thank you so much for sharing them.
Michelle
I am loving what everyone is doing with the new spellbinder dies.Thought I should say – I made your birdcage pop up card ( and showed my mum how – shes made three but needs my die to make more). I had to adapt it slightly because I have a Tim Holtz birdcage die ( or shouldn’t I say that) – it takes a little bit more time but same stunning result.Anyone can do it and your step by step instructions break it down into wonderfully achievable chunks.I willl have to give that lotus flower ago.Keep creating – we love it.
Thank you.
Becca — you make the most beautiful cards. Thank you again for sharing your talents with us!
I love your work and am never bored with anything you present, your work is so outstanding that I want to copy every card you do. This is just beautiful as all your work is and all these new Spellbinders are going to break the bank. LOL
I am loving these new Spellbinders ——can’t wait to get my hands on them. Thanks for sharing them with us, Becca
hugs
That is such a beautiful card Becca. I think that die is one of my new favorite dies for some reason so far. Your use of it is just lovely framing the sentiment and a place to put the pretty flower. Beautiful work. TFS!! :-D
Delightful flower! I can’t wait to get my hands on that die cut set! I have a feeling you will be playing some more with it as well! Drool! Beautiful, Becca!
This is such a pretty card! But then you are the queen of pretty!
This is absolutely STUNNING, Becca! I love your choice of papers. All that pink *sigh* I absolutely MUST go find this Crafty Secrets Vintage Patterns paper.
Love the card but what die was it that you used for the flowers.
Becca: Another beautiful card. Love the flower and the close up of it. Spellbinders have the neatest dies.
Becca, I commented on this yesterday and now notice even more gals are asking the same question regarding the flower. Where on your blog can we look forward to your comments?
Beautiful, neat idea with the flowers and pretty layering, love the gold accents on your pin!
this has to be one of my favorite flowers ever Becca – your creativity never ceases to amaze me. TFS.
