One Stamp, Many Occasions

Hi there!!  I have been waiting to get my hands on this new set of stamps from JustRite Stampers called Simple Blessings (check out the full set HERE).  The bonus is that these stamps are in my favorite format – CLING!!!.  The second I laid eyes on the design on this set, I knew it would carry me through many uses – a staple set, if you will.  So today I wanted to show you how by changing up the coloring and card stock I could get a different look, for different occasions. (ETA: I was thinking of other occasions to use the church and this set for and thought about Confirmation, Christmas, Easter, VBS and my dear friend Becky Green even suggested Graduation, Religious Education and Baptism – if you can think of any more – let me know ;-).

The first card I’m showing is a wedding card.  I chose to color the church for a winter time scene because then I could use shimmery glitter for a dressy look.  I also tried to keep most elements white because I knew I’d be using white ribbon.  The card is trimmed with silver and the sentiment from the JustRite Wedding Nested Sentiments set is stamped on the inside with silver embossing powder.

Okay, changing up a little bit here, I wanted to color the scene for a serene spring time and I opted for soothing blues because I knew my pearls would look great here.  This is a sympathy card that’s not quite as dressy as the wedding card.  On the inside I’ve used JustRite Sympathy Nested Sentiments.

Here is the coloring of the church – light and wintery with a little bit of grey in the sky.

Here I colored the church as a spring scene, with clear blue skies.  Below are the sentiments for the insides of each card.

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  JustRite Simple Blessings, JustRite Wedding Nested Sentiments, JustRite Sympathy Nested Sentiments
Paper:  Bazzill, silver foil
Ink:  VersaMark and Silver Embossing Powder, Versafine and Clear Embossing Powder.
Accessories:
Spellbinders Curved Rectangles, SpellbindersSpellbinders Classic Ovals LG, Spellbinders Floral and Stone Impressibilities, Spellbinders Diamond and Star Impressibilities,  Ribbon, Pearls, K& Company Die Cut Embellishment, Prima Flower, Copic Markers – 0, C0, C1, C3, C5, YG63, YG67, G20, G21, B000, B0000, E13, E31, E55

There’s lots going on at JustRite – I have it on good authority that some of your very favorite sets have been added to the Super Sale section HERE.  Everything in there is 10 bucks but only while supplies last :-).  Also, if you haven’t finished up your Christmas Cards yet or you need to get ready for next year, take 25% of all original JustRite Christmas sets until November 29th.  Better yet, free shipping for orders over $50.00.  Stay tuned, I have a lot of JustRite stamps saved up just waiting to be inked up.

Thanks for stopping by to see me today, I’m working on my blog candy so be sure to check back, okay?  By the way, I have another post  – be sure scroll down to the next post and see some sunshine I’m glad to have and happy to share.

Your cards are so beautiful, Becca! I love the gorgeous white and silvery winter wedding card. It is a true keepsake for some lucky bride.
And the sympathy design with the soft colours is so gentle. My grandmother told me that pearls are tears so they are so appropriate on this one.
    Thank you for sharing! {Hugs}ReplyCancel

Those are stunning. I was able to purchase my very first set of “Just Rite” stamps last week at Winners (Canada) It was $8.99 and I found it on line for $23.99, so I was thrilled. I’m hooked, so I will check out the sale items.
I’m going to scour all the Winners stores that I can, because I’ve never seen Just Rite anywhere else. Anyone in Canada that can give me a heads up as to where to purchase them…I’d be ever obliged. :)
Becca…Do you cut around the template with an exacto knife to get the shadow effect? I”m sure that you have a tutorial on here somewhere, but I thought I’d ask anyway.

This church stamp reminds me of the little church I grew up in. I would use this stamp for weddings, Christmas, Easter, baptism and even a sympathy card. I think with a night sky and yellow windows with glittering snow on the ground and twinkling stars in the sky, would make a perfect Christmas card.ReplyCancel
