Good morning blog friends! I know it seems like I’ve been on a birthday kick, but one can never have enough birthday cards in the stash, right? Today’s card is more toward the clean and simple end with a couple of small layers. My card uses a new October release from JustRite Papercraft called Elegant Corners Background and the sentiment is Birthday Wishes For You. I reached for Spellbinders Framed Petite Labels for the embossed background layer and also reached for Spellbinders Labels Four, Spellbinders Labels Fourteen and Spellbinders Twisted Metal Tags and Accents. I love using black for the card base and mats – it just makes everything pop.
No mystery to this card except I wanted a pop of color in the center where the stamp has a labels four outline – I cut mine out using the matching Labels Four die template for the sake of contrast. The background, embossed in white, is so ornate and pretty!
Here’s your Step By Step Recap of die cuts and layers, from the bottom up: Start out with a Card Base (5-1/2″ x 7-1/2″) , foam tape, pink cardstock embossed with Petite Framed Labels cut to 5-3/8″ x 7-3/8″, foam tape, black matting layer cut to 4-1/2″ x 5-3/4″, pink stamped layer cut to 4-3/8″ x 5-5/8″ – labels four is cut from this layer, foam tape, combination of Labels Fourteen and Metals Tags. Add ribbon, flower button and pearls.
