Hi there blog friends!  I dug into my Waltzingmouse Stamps stash to create a card for today using the Seasonal Remedies set.  I paired it up with some dreamy new (to me) paper and a stack of Spellbinders.  By the by, today’s a pretty special day for those of us involved at Waltzingmouse Stamps!  Why?  Well, Waltzingmouse is being featured over at Moxie Fab World for their Stamp of Approval!!  Oh, congrats Claire, this is an amazing honor :-)  In the meantime, be sure to stop over at Moxie Fab World and see the sets that have earned a Stamp of Approval.    If this is one of the sets you love, then you need to hurry, hurry, hurry over and put your name on the list to try to win it!

For my card, I layered Spellbinders Label Twenty Three on the bottom of my medallion then added Spellbinders Labels Seventeen followed by Spellbinders Classic Squares LG.  I’ve had this unique trim by Bead Landing (Michaels) in my stash for quite a while – I’m glad it found a home today.

I absolutely fell in love with the paper over at Riddersholm Design, it has to be the most luscious Christmas paper I’ve played with this season – the pictures don’t nearly do the rich colors justice.  I loved the heavy feel of the double sided cover weight cardstock and everything within the collection matched.  Take a peep here for a gallery using more of the Riddersholm paper. 


Since the paper matched so wonderfully I made one of the Spellbinders Square Bracket Edge Boxes to show it off.  I love that box!  It’s so small (favor sized) and cute!

    Becca……….please have your doctors run a CA125 blood test. My dear friend suffered with severe hip pain for months before we finally insisted they do the blood test. She had ovarian cancer it turned out. The test is not expensive….about $75.00 if your insurance won’t pay for it. It will rule out the cancer OR will let them know they are looking at the pain in the wrong way. You will be in my prayers. OBTW…..my friend has gone through chemo and is in remission. Santa Box
Believe it or not, I’ve had this little box ready to go but created drama for myself this past weekend when I forgot about a Christmas party I needed to go to – I thought I had another week to prepare!!  I stamp with a group of ladies that have been getting together each month for about the past ten years.  Panic!  No way I could miss our annual get together – it’s the highlight of the year!!   Hmmm…what do to for 12 gifts that have to be made within 24 hours?  As you can imagine, everything in my world came to a halt – I was on fire trying to get ready!  I wish I had taken pictures of the cute little reindeer boxes I made but I didn’t have time to make extra (grrr…..).  Of course I left with 12 little gifts that were given to me.  In my heart there is nothing sweeter than handmade.  I’m eating all sorts of cookies and goodies and sailing high from the joy of being with good friends.  Speaking of friends, so glad you could join me today.  This box is inspired by something I saw in my local quilt shop, and a box made with Spellbinders™ Square Petal Box Top  fit the bill – that’s what I used on the top (Santa’s cap).  The same die template was used along the bottom along with Spellbinders™ Wonky Rectangles for the buckle on his belt.  His face is made with Spellbinders™ Nested Hearts.  Every once in a while you have to make something that makes you laugh. . . I giggled over this . . . more than once.

Sweet blog friends, how are you today?  I’m fab, really!!  I’ve had a little relief from the hip and leg pain (I’m almost afraid to say that) lets just pray that this little break goes on for a while.  I didn’t waste any time in sitting down to make some things.  In fact, you’ll see more from me this week.  I’m working on the cutest box that I hope to share by the weekend.  In the meantime, I have some new, new, new Quietfire Design stamps to share.  I’ve been wishing on a star to get some elegant Quietfire Christmas sentiments to put on my cards this holiday season.  Enter, my stamp fairy, and just in the nick of time!    Suzanne’s beautiful hand lettering is such a treat!  It’s like jewelry for your cards!

In case you haven’t noticed, Spellbinders™ Holly Motifs is one of my very favorite time templates.  There’s no doubt that I’ll continue to use it year ’round, but you can fault me for using it to embellish bona fide Christmas Cards at every turn?  Here, one of my favorite techniques is to sandwich or stack it so that that beautiful filigree peeks out or as a beautiful showcase.  I simply alternated my Holly Motif elements with Spellbinders™ Postage Stamps in two sizes — I made them into frames using Spellbinders™ Classic Squares LG and Classic Squares SM.

    Oh Becca, this is such a beautiful creation yet again. I´m truely facinated by the way you always find to stack all these wonderful dies, and this one is no exception. it is sooooooooo gorgeous and I can only agree these sentiments are absolutely gorgeous too.
    So glad to hear, that you´ve got some relief from the pains, and I´ll sure cross my fingers, that it´ll last for a long time, so that you can get some great time in your craftingarea and a painfree christmas. Can´t wait to see that new box, you´re working on as I just really love fancy boxes.

I had a victrectomy yesterday, so I am hanging off my bed, face down, reading your page and writing to you! I have to stay face down for two weeks! Needless to say I will be visiting you alot!!! I went to the Quietfire Designs website and wanted to order the “warm winter wishes” stamp, but it appears you can only order if you live in Canada. Any way us “Americans” can purchase the stamp.     Oh Becca, I’m so glad you’re feeling better. I hope it lasts on and on indefinitely! I too have the holly motif on my wish list, (hope my family’s looking in). I saw some time ago, how you used it for a card that was not for Christmas. It was wonderful there too! I can see so many possibilities. The quietfire sentiments are always lovely and help me to say what I want. One of the reasons I like making my own cards- being able to design what I want, and say what I want! TYFS!     This is amazing!! Love all the layers and texture and the bow is perfect! :) I have the holly motif dies as well but I have a hard time getting the cardstock out of the die without tearing it. I have to pick it out with a piercer! May I ask you what sandwich you use? I am using these dies with a Cuttlebug. Thank you for sharing your beautiful creations!! :)
