I have Share the Wealth Blog Candy going on right now on this post HERE!

Hi there.  Quick, frugal, mini – that was my goal today.  Lol, I wanted to make a little gift that someone would not necessarily make for themself yet I could make it quickly and not break the bank.  Well, you know how much I love the $1.00 gifts at Michaels, they are an embellishment bonanza!  The little flexible lid wooden boxes are back!!  They had them about 6 months ago and I picked up one but wished that I had picked up more.  I took the box and covered it with design paper left over after I made four little enclosure cards to go inside.

I used a stamp set from Our Daily Bread Designs called Faith that has four sentiments.  The cards are 2.75″ x 2.75″ each and the sentiments were small enough to fit just right.

The cards fit neatly inside the box and ready to give as a gift.

SUPPLIES I USED

Stamps: Our Daily Bread Designs – Faith
Paper
: Bazzill, K&Company
Ink: Dye based ink:  green
Accessories:
Spellbinders Labels Eighteen,
Spellbinders Parisian Accents, Spellbinders Floral Doily Motifs, Spellbinders Floral Doily Accents, Ribbon, Pearls

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I’ll see you soon!

What a great idea, I’m thinking Mothers Day gifts and little just because gifts, now if you could just blow a smidgen of your design talent my way, I’ll be all set.

Beautiful and love the sentiments you choose.

Hi friends!  I hope you plan to have a glorious Monday!!  I don’t know where the weekend went – I was hoping to check quite a few things off my long list of family todo’s but it never appears to get shorter.   Thankfully I had a card in reserve that I’m sharing with you today.  It’s a long format card and I wish I’d do that more often.  I’m using a sentiment from the January releases for Our Daily Bread Designs called Faith.  Don’t be confused if you look at the set and wonder where I pulled the sentiment from – I split the stamping of the sentiment up into three parts.

The triangle shapes are new Spellbinders called Nested Pennants and they are layered on top of Nested Lacey Pennants.  After stamping each sentiment I used remnants of Zva Pearls to fill out the rest of the diamond.  It doesn’t get any simpler than this!!

SUPPLIES I USED

Stamps: Our Daily Bread Designs – Faith
Paper
: Bazzill, The Paper Company
Ink: Distress Inks – Pine Needles
Accessories:
Spellbinders Nested Pennants,
Spellbinders Nested Lacey Pennants, Ribbon, Zva Pearls

Thanks for peeking in today.  I’ll be back with a winner for mini-blog candy later on tonite.  In the meantime, have a blessed day!

Hey Becca, I love this card. It looks simple, yet complex at the same time.
There is a lot going on with the shapes and scollops, bow, and pearls. And then the sentiment brings it all together, with the statement of Faith! Wonderful card! Thanks for sharing it with us!
    Hugs, JessicaReplyCancel

Love it! I like to make long cards too. I often make them to fit the #10 business-size envelopes. This sentiment says so much and really speaks to me. I need to use it on a card for my sister, who seems to be worrying more than usual these days. I try to set worry aside, because when we worry, it is really saying that we don’t trust God enough. And, every moment spent worrying is a moment that we are not out living the rest of our life.ReplyCancel

Hi there sweeties!! First of all, thanks to those who have signed up for an opportunity to win the new Core’dinations that matches Ranger Distress Inks and Adirondack Inks. There’s still time and the wonderful thing is, if you win, I win too. The link to register is in my post HERE. Also, I have my own blog candy going until sometime on Monday, you can read the post and leave a comment HERE.

Now moving on, another piece of the ensemble I created using
Spellbinders Parisian Accents and Motifs (we’re almost done).  This Journal was the inspiration and starting point for the entire ensemble. I’ve long wanted my own specially made Gratitude Journal versus just a lined notebook. In this one I can sketch, doodle and glue in items I like. The stamps I’ve used are a set from Quietfire Design called Journal of Gratitude Bookstamps that are artistically beautiful as well as delightfully elegant. Once the innards were stamped, I closed the cover and concentrated on the outside.
I think I picked this journal up at Books a Million for less than $5.00.  I love it that it’s a bound book and it has an elastic band that keeps the book closed.  Blank pages that are heavier than text weight paper made it fly into my shopping cart!

SUPPLIES I USED

Stamps: Quietfire Design – Journal of Gratitude Bookstamps
Paper
: Bazzill, The Paper Studio
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black
Accessories:
Spellbinders Parisian Accents,
Spellbinders Parisian Motifs, Spellbinders Standard Circles SM, Pearls

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I’m off to bed and hope that there’s some creating in my day tomorrow!

    This Journal is beautiful Becca.
What a lovely idea of having a place for noting things to be grateful for, we often feel low and this is a great way of staying positive and cheering ourselves up.
Having a beautiful wee book to doodle and sketch our creative thoughts and images is so inspiring too.
Much better than my plain old sketch book any day. I’d never thought of making it look so attractive on the outside too.
I’m off give my sketch book a make over now. tfsReplyCancel

    Becca,
Your gratitude journal is beautiful. Who wouldn’t feel grateful having something so lovely to write in. You remind us that if we have an attitude of gratefulness it is difficult to be negative about life. We have so many blessings each day if we will only take time to think about them. Writing them down would certainly be helpful to get you to that grateful attitude!
Thank you for sharing such a wonderful piece.ReplyCancel
