A delightful afternoon.  That’s what I had :-)  Just got some new rubber in from Quietfire Designs, rustled up a pot of coffee, gave my favorite guy a peck on the cheek and disappeared into the studio to relax.  I didn’t have long, but long enough to pull this together from one of the beautiful new sentiments that Suzanne has put to rubber.  This card uses the Words of Love sentiment  and even though it can be used for Valentines Day, I made my card for as a Wedding Card instead (with the thought in the back of my mind that I can pull it out for either an anniversary or just an I Love You card).

I wanted a classic look like a black and white tuxedo so I kept things simple.  Just one layer backed by a border and I popped up the Spellbinders Labels Sixteen.  The Flourishing Inside Hearts are also a new Quietfire stamp so I decided to add them as a splash of red.   I’m using a length of organdy you normally get on the wedding aisle that’s about 6 inches wide and it makes for a lovely bow when you fluff it out.  Pearls just didn’t do the job so I dug out some rhinestones.  That’s about it for me today – off to watch a good movie.  Hope you’re having a great weekend too.

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Quietfire Design – Words of Love, Flourishing Inside – Hearts
Paper:  Xpedx Brilliant White Cover – 130 lb
Ink:  Versafine Onyx Black, Colorbox Pigment Ink – Cranberry
Accessories:  Spellbinders Labels Sixteen,  Martha Steward Border Punch – Layered Arches, Rhinestones, Ribbon, Organdy

Thanks for peeking in on me today.

Hiya!!  Happy Friday.  So ya know what today is?  That’s right – Sketch Challenge Friday over at the JustRite Inspiration Blog.  My card today follows the sketch – it’s oh so classic – I hope you’ll play along too!  A couple of details first – I  I used Christmas Nested Frames and Whimsical Christmas.  I cut three frames and snipped them so that they would make three squares.  The frames (made with Spellbinders Classic Long Rectangles LG) are stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa and colored with Copics – G16 and R59.  I stamped the flakes and sentiment from Whimsical Christmas and cut them out with a 1 1/2" EKSuccess Punch.

So here’s the JustRite sketch if you’d like to give it a go.  All the details are right here on the JustRite Inspiration Blog.

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  JustRite Stampers – Whimsical Christmas, Nested Christmas Frames
Paper:  Kaisercraft – Dear Santa Collection, The Paper Company
Ink:  Memento – Rich Cocoa
Accessories:  Spellbinders Long Classic Rectangles LG #2 and #4, 1 1/2" EK Success Punch, May Arts Satin Ribbon, Poinsettia

Hi there, I’m actually back with a card.  I’ve been taking it easy for the past couple of days.  Injury to both of my shoulders finally sent me to the doctor and I had my first physical therapy this week.  Ugh, enough of that – I’ll be fine.  Today I’m using one of the new Our Daily Bread Design sets called Light – from the Full of Grace Collection  – I think this is my most favorite set this month.

I added a piece of soft vellum edged with Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Border Petites over a piece French Vanilla Bazzill.  On top of that I popped up another French Vanilla panel cut with Spellbinders Curved Rectangles and stamped with the sentiment from Light.  I crossed the panel with a line of pearls, wide lace and satin ribbon before I anchored my rose.  I tucked the swirl from Spellbinders Fanciful Holiday under the rose for leaves.
Sigh . . . pink.

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Our Daily Bread Designs – Light (Full of Grace Collection)
Paper:  Anna Griffin, The Paper Company – Vellum, Bazzill – French Vanilla
Ink:  Color Box Chalk Ink – Pink Rouge
Accessories:  Spellbinders™ Classic Scalloped Border Petites, Spellbinders™ Curved Rectangles, Spellbinders™ Fanciful Holiday, pearls, May Arts Satin Ribbon, lace

Have a great weekend everybody!

Hi Becca – stunning as usual. That rose is absolutely beautiful – how did you make it… are you going to do or have you done a tutorial on it?

I hope your shoulders are soon feeling easier. I have a lot of aches in my left side as i had major surgery a few months ago – I had to have a thoracotomy to remove a tumor from my pleural cavity (pressed against my lung) and i’m still off work from it – loads of nerve damage and now having a treatment on it by way of a cream with chillies in – apparently the chemicals from the chillies confuses the nerve endings… crafting is painful most of the time so can only do little and often.

Thanks for sharing your wonderful creations.
