Hi there. Several people left comments that they didn’t know why I would put drops of ink on a palette. I’m hoping those readers are peeking in today so that I can explain a little bit. The palette that I made yesterday is designed to hold the waterbased ink used to re-ink a Ranger Distress ink pad. In addition to using the ink pads, I like to use the ink itself to watercolor with. Although the distress inks are waterbased they seem to have more body that other waterbased dye inks, they are rich and they stay wet for quite some time on a palette. The palette is simply a convenience when using the inks to watercolor an image and makes it very easy to mix colors. Each of the 36 drops of ink I put into the palette were different colors – in their concentrated form they just seemed to be a dark drop. Hope this helps!! In fact, the card that I’m showing today features Bridesmaid Tilda wearing Wreath, She is watercolored with Distress Inks. The Tilda stamp comes from Magnolia-licious.
I’ve used several Spellbinders borders and they’re slightly hidden so I’ll explain. At the top, I used the Easter Borderabilities turned upside down. Around the gingham I used one of the Lotus Borderabilities so that just the very edge is visible – I think it makes a fabulous edging. Then for the flower strip I used the other Lotus Borderabilties and one of the flowers from Flower Bouquet on top of each motif and turned the flower on point so that it showed the cool holes in the border. For my Tilda image I cut a Petite Ovals LG and matted it with Big Scalloped Ovals LG. The banner is cut by hand and the sentiment is a rub-on. Hope this all makes sense – this was a ton of fun to play with the borders to come up with something different :-)

GREAT card! I remember this stamp . . . I never purchased it, but I recall my friends and I getting a good laugh over it. I have a friend who has a couple sisters, one of whom is also a stamper and scrapbooker. Many of us get together every so often for a “stamping bee” where we work on projects, share ideas and techniques, and just have a good time socializing with one another. One of their sisters calls it a “cult” and warns other not to get involved! LOL
So true. Some of those statements really hit home. Love the card design.
Too cute! And very close to the truth in some cases! LOL!
Great card but alas, I will not be able to join the 12 step program. You lose me by step 3! Thanks for yet another wonderfully creative card.
Love it!
Since I don’t have the stamp and may choose to computer generate it for my friend about to have surgery…I may “alter” it a bit. Put 11 steps on the outside and put step 12 on the inside where the card holder is and make it say:
12. Who am I kidding? I’m going shopping!
This may not be th prettiest or most elegant card you have ever posted but it is certainly the funniest! I love it! Your creativity always astounds me.
This is hilarious! Only a true stamper can relate to these convictions! I love the folder appeal, and the hardware and distressing really complete the look! How I wish they would bring this stamp back! :)
Hugs~
I DEFINATELY LOVE THIS!!!! How funny!!!! LOL!!! What a fun way to bless a friend!!!! TOO FUNNY!!!!! :)
I just returned yesterday from the Great American Scrapbook Convention in Arlington, TX. I am a cardmaker and LOVE stamps to make my cards. This is sooo me, and I sooo wish I had this stamp!!! I spent way too much at the GASC on STAMPS. My friends would get such a kick out of a cardcard to go shopping with me sent to them in this card!! So cute!!!
Becca, Your fellow bloggers can relate so well! I say this as I sit in my son’s old room. Now know as my stamp room. LOL! I have the perfect stamp to go with this. I will have to stamp it and email you a copy. You will get a kick out of it!
Have a lovely blessed Sunday,
Pam

I couldn’t do it—#5 is beyond my will power.. :( Great card, Becca!
Oh Becca this is just hilarious! I love it and I know your friend will too!
Reading this card mad me smile why because I can see myself in it I guess the mirror isn’t the only place I can see my reflection. Thanks Becca for the laugh truely needed it.
Love it! I love Bonnie’s suggestion of #12 being let’s go shopping. Love that ribbon too, where did you get it?
Too darn cute AND true! :)
LOL! I just love this! I live in a small 2 bedroom condo and about 6 months ago moved my craft room from the 2nd smaller bedroom to the much larger master bedroom. After all I only sleep in the bedroom, and I don’t need all that space to sleep in. But, I need it it to store all my stamps, papers, tools, etc, and to create in! In truth it is mostly my daughter’s tools and supplies as she needed a place away from her 3 children under 5 to keep her things from 6 little hands, but I think I would have made the same move even if she hadn’t transferred her things over here.
Do they have the same list for those of us who have a problems with paper? ; ) Great card!
This is brilliant! Jx
TOO FUNNY and so true!
This is wonderful Becca, I’ve never heard this before, it so true tho. Your project is beautiful and I’m sure your friend will love it. As always Becca, TFS!!! :-D
Heehee love this!! Its so true. Love your cards btw, this is the first time I’ve left a comment. Great blog.
So true, so true!
So funny and yet so true!!
I find it very sad and disturbing that I don’t have anyone that is ‘worse’ than me that I can send this to LMBO!!!!!!!!!!
Wonderful card, Becca : )
Love and hugs ~
Lori
This is hysterical! I love it and I am sure your friend will be blessed!
I can relate…lol!
LOL, you lost me by #3! I afraid that I don’t even want to sign up for the 12 step program! Great card and I’m sure that your friend will get a major kick out of it. I also have to agree with Lori, when she says that she wouldn’t have anyone “worse” than she is to send it to!
However, I “justify” it by sending lots of cards to Operation Write Home. This organization collects handmade cards (blank on the inside) from all over the country and ships them to our armed services overseas. They use them to write home to their loved ones. If anyone else is interested in this marvelous organization you can Goggle them.
Thanks for sharing this very funny card with us!

Beautiful card,I’m sure your friend will love it!!!
Perhaps I should have seen this BEFORE I went to the Arlington Scrapbook Convention this week-end. Cute card!
This is really cute!
Thanks for sharing
Pam
Whew! For a minute there I thought you were serious….my husband once said (in front of the daughter who led me astray in the first place) I’ll bet you have $500.00 worth of stuff in that junk room…Jen & I just looked at each other. I was afraid she would start laughing any minute.
lol, my husband calls my room my store house!
I can’t get past step one – I’m in DENIAL!!!! (if that isn’t a sure sign!) What?! I don’t need Help?! except in how to tie a bow just right or match patterns/papers, etc. I “peeked” ahead at step 2 and sorta agree…Otherwise good luck with that program!!
Very cute despite the truth that we can laugh at, and sigh, then go stamp it away : )
My sister-in-law and I are in the tangled web also. My brother thinks sending hand made cards are inexpensive. We won’t tell him the first one cost about $300.
Hi loved your card. Would love to have the stamp. I can’t read all the sentence but would love to have computer generated copy of it.
Donna
Oh my!! Are you talkin about me?!!!!!!!! LOL! Beautiful card and sentiment as always.
TFS.
C’est une excellente idée ! j’adore… bravoooo
OH MY GOODNESS!!! I was going back thru your blog to catch up on postings when I got behind while I was on vacation. I am so glad I saw this!!!
I have a dear friend who has had her eye on a certain stamp set since Feb. I bought it to give to her on her birthday or special event. They have been going thru a lot of financial crunches with the economy cutbacks. Things are hopefully starting to look up for them. She has been a dance teacher for many yrs and is also my Stampin Up! demo. She has decided to open her own dance studio and just got approved for her loan this past Wednesday. I think I will send her this card and the stamp set as a congratulations gift. She will love the 12 step list!!! She usually frames things like this to hang in her craft studio.
I think God made me not see this until just now. I may have just liked it for me and not though of her until now. I have been pondering a good way to send her the stamp set. This will be perfect!!!
