I wanted to share a little gift that I made using this sweet, sweet new Tilda.  She is from the new Pet and Animal Collection that is now in over at Magnolia-licious; this little cutie is #351 Tilda with Birdcage.  Diana just got a shipment of these in along with fall stamps and Christmas Stamps.

Believe it or not, I had the bird cage in anticipation of getting the stamp.  When I saw the sweet Tilda holding the birdcage, I knew it would make a special pair.

This is a tall card that is made to look like a tag because it accompanies a gift.  I used a Fiskars punch for the decorative edges and Tilda was cut from a Spellbinders Long Scalloped Rectangles Small and colored with Copic Markers.  Because I know you will ask (*wink) – the birdcage came from Michaels :)

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Magnolia – #351 Tilda with Birdcage
Paper:  Bazzill
Ink:  Black Tuxedo Memento
Accessories:  Spellbinders Long Scalloped Rectangles Small, Fiskars Border Punch (Lattice Entertain You), Button, Ribbon, Birdcage

Thanks for stopping by, I’ll be showing a quick and easy tutorial tomorrow.

I’ve had this stamp set from Flourishes in my stash forever and when I saw this weeks Splitcoast Sketch Challenge #241, I knew that some way, some how I could work the set into a card.  And you know what, that sketch . . . me likey!   The set is called Coffee with Friends and after I stamped with it I truly wondered how this one missed my scrutiny.

So, here’s the sketch for you to look at.  My goodness, I’ve not done one of these in a while.  Somehow when I first looked at this, I thought the two vertical panels were the same size . . .arrrggh!  Oh well, next time I guess I’ll use my glasses.

I simply layered the sketch and decided to put a hole/frame in the top to give it a little bit of interest, dimension.  On my way home from Orlando I stopped in one of the Joann Etc stores and stocked up on all kinds of lace (yes!!)  This piece of lace was a light cream color, but after I hit it with the Antique Linen Distress Ink, it fits right in with the paper.  Speaking of the paper . . . this is my new love!  Graphic 45 was at CHA and I was so tickled to bring home one of their paper packets called Fashionista.  I promise you, I won’t waste an iota of it; I’m dreaming of the cards I’ll make.  To the sweet young lady who was so generous with the paper . . . thank you!!

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Flourishes – Coffee with Friends
Paper:  Graphic 45 – Tre Chic, The Paper Company
Ink:  Versafine Black Onyx, Antique Linen Distress Ink
Accessories:  Spellbinders Long Rectangles, Large, Spellbinders Long Scalloped Rectangles, Large, Spellbinders Standard Circles Large, Spellbinders Doodle Parts, Lace from Joanns, Ribbon

Thanks for peeking in on me!

Now that is too adorable! Love that heat swirl above the cup!

Hey, I met Kelly of ODBD up her at a stamp convention. She was demonstrating something, but I introduced myself and told her I knew you via email. I bought a couple of her stamp sets, have many more on my wish list. She said that she finally got to meet you at CHA. Nice lady, her husband was running the cash register for her, he was very friendly too. Take care. Keep in touch when you can.
